With all the new people joining the board recently, i thought it would be a good idea for everyone to introduce themselves again so people can get to know one another a little better. I will pin this thread, and hope that members, old and new will post in here. Kind of like a Steel Army directory. :steelarmy: Just copy and paste my questions and answers into a new post, then delete my answers and answer the questions as they pertain to you.

College: Duquesne University (2003)

Teams you hate: Cleveland Shitty Stars, DC United, Chicago Fire, Newcastle,

Little bit about yourself: According to many in this group (BEEF and Espo) I look like Frodo Baggins from Lord of the Rings. Yes I am vertically challenged, but hopefully that means I will live a longer, healthier life (although the alcohol I drink might shorten that life for me). Grew up in the Burgh, and moved to Columbus 2 years ago for work. Season ticket holder to the Columbus Crew and a member of the Hudson Street Hooligans. You will see me at Hounds matches and I won't be hard to miss. I am the short balding guy with the drum strapped to me.

Little bit about yourself: Born and raised in the Burgh. Played throwball like every kid in Western PA throughout HS, before I picked up hockey. Captained Duquesne's in-line hockey team in the ECRHA in 2004. Still currently play ice and in-line hockey. I love to travel and my job let's me travel all around the US on the govt. dime, so I don't have any complaints there. I love football and it consumes my life, much to my fiance's chagrin, but she plays the sport and understands. I am a half season ticket holder for the Pgh. Penguins, but like an idiot I didn't pick up a playoff package this year because I have too much going on in my life right now, such as wedding planning and house hunting. I think I am pretty easy going and love meeting new people.

Little bit about yourself: Four years ago, I started going to my cousin's soccer games and discovered there are several TV stations devoted to soccer shortly before the 2006 World Cup. I spent that summer watching the World Cup and every repeat league game I could watch. That fall I went to Piper's for the first time for a 7:00 am match. I have roughly been sitting on the same stool ever since for weekend matches and the Champion's League. The game has consumed me. I tend to follow players and I follow many leagues because of this. Favorite player: Philippe Mexes of AS Roma.

I love to bake and cook for others. I try to bake often and alot. I volunteer at WYEP in Pittsburgh on a regular basis. I enjoy reading history, sewing and shopping for shoes.

I am not a WAG but part of the Steel Army. I hope our group stays together for a long time and I really enjoy being with people who love the game.

Ty,

What year is your golf? I have a 2006 GLS, but I know yours is a bit older than mine. My fiance had some older year models growing up and I guess I got the Golf bug from her. Would have like to have purchased a GTI, but at the time it was too much money for the car and the insurance.

A Little about moi: I moved back to Pittsburgh after spending 10 years in Charlotte, NC and Charleston, SC. Where I fell in love with USL soccer. I started writing about the sport for www.uslfans.com, www.soccer365.com along with others although I stopped for various professional and personal reasons.

Teams you hate: In this order: Arsenal, Any team from ohio, Chelsea, West Ham, New Castle, and every single italian team ever except Parma.

Little bit about yourself: Played a pretty high level of hockey throughout my life. Amateurs for the Pittsburgh Hornets, for my high school, moved to play in philly my senior year, played juniors in Niagara the following year. Decided to quit due to shitty circumstances, and moved back to Pittsburgh and started playing football. Followed the sport my whole life, and loved Roy Keane as a kid. Followed united a bit as a kid and more so as i got a bit older. As Roy Keane left, my man crush void was filled by Alan Smith. I still love the dude, but lost any affection towards united after quietly following spurs for little while. I officially became a Yid after reading a quote from Bill Nicholson that made me fall in love with the club. I am a vegetarian and had a year stint as a vegan(best year of my life thanks to maria's cookies). Basically i love football, hockey, and animals. Sorry for the long paragraph full of run-ons and poor grammar.

Little bit about yourself: I met Davcre in another online capacity :o he told me about this site and I came here to say hello and I've been failing in baiting everyone with flames ever since.
I am single after a break up with my fiance which leaves me loads of time when I am not chasing and arresting shop lifters and drunks to read, listen to music play video games, play the guitar and try and stay fit. One of the best moments of my life was to get to play a really expensive guitar that Eddie Vedder wrote the 2nd Pearl Jam album on, which means nothing to my English friends but to put into context the vault I was in at the time had some serious memorabilia such as a Jimmy Hendrix guitar and John Lennon's piano.
I will have to get out to America again in the future and see come and meet you all at a game, thats if BP and I dont get into a scrap over football in general ;)
