WELCOME TO THE HIGHER MILITIA


In an alternate universe called Casiva, where magic and modernity come together in a seamless mix that has neither beginning nor end, an age-old power courses through the land. It reemerges in little things and little ways, pulsing beneath the thin cover of iron and technology like so many heartbeats until it breaks through.

In The Higher Militia, you will play the role of a young man or woman whose genes have been ‘altered’ by the raw power in the land. Your cells have been manipulated by this energy, and you become a Carrier, hated by the public and perhaps more powerful than you yourself can imagine. You are a danger to society, and, more often than not, are shunned by your own family.

You are set apart from other people and are recruited from your home as soon as your ability begins to manifest itself. It matters not what type of family you come from; rich or poor, you are automatically relocated to the Higher Militia-- a sort of military barracks where you learn to control your newfound ‘talents’.

It is within these walls that you will learn and grow, forging bonds that may break or last with other people like you, discovering things about yourself and the world you are in. You will lean to deal with the suffering this new life brings you, battling your inner demons and the monsters that haunt your dreams, sparring with shadows and sunlight and the gray areas in between.

The Higher Militia is a forum dedicated to in-character, literate roleplaying, allowing you to navigate the Militia through the eyes of a Carrier. Here, you will build friendships, discard old hopes and fears in favor of new ones, and perhaps even discover yourself along the way.
