And so, time was frozen and he paid yet another price for it to happen, the life of the keybladers, he held their souls inside crystal cages while their bodies remained in the last place they stood. Time stood still.

Yuuko entered the room, a keyblade next to her throat. She looked behind her to see the keyblade wielder near her. She led the way towards her room, it was pitch black. Her magic symbol glowed an intense fuchsia. Maximus stood there looking at her, when it proceeded to iluminate the whole room, he saw them, the souls of the keybladers. They were each inside a crystal cage, as if they were they were sleeping. Yuuko wouldn't utter a word.

She just wondered why it had come to that. ''It's time for them to stand up again, and for me to crush them'' Maximus said as he put his hands on Yuuko's neck. A black butterfly landed on Yuuko's shoulder and whispered something to her, she nodded and walked around the room looking at the souls she was asked to imprison.

The twilight angel, the wonderer, chaos, hope and the one she ever first came in contact with, the ruler of Vermillion. She decided to set everyone free by a mere touch of each cage. When they would wake, they were not to recall a thing, especially that they were trapped in this place, or how she did what she did. The souls dispersed from the cages and flew back into the bodies of the warriors, which lay in the place they last stood.

The story was about to continue for some, it was about to be the start for others, and their paths would cross once again.

NOTE: If someone beats you to post and your story contradicts theirs, please, EDIT. Remember, god-modding is only allowed to some extent, don't overdo it, if a character dies, let the creator decide. You can join the RP at any time. Please read the Sign-up thread in order to know what this is about.

NOTE: The events of this game are after the events of KH2. This is like a new chapter that is relating to the old, of course made up by all of us, so try and be creative and make it interesting and related to the game, at the same time we are adding a unique element of having new worlds and charcaters that are not Disney of FF related and incorportating them into the story. So it doesn't strictly have to be related to Disney and FF, any other worlds you wish you can include and relate it to the KH plotline, e.g. anime, game, movies world and characters.

The story so far is, Maximus is known to be the first hero, the first one ever to wield a Keyblade, the one who was supposed to be the 'Sora' and protect Kingdom Hearts. But he betrayed it and wanted his power for his own. Now he has been resurected by the last ounce of darkness in Kingdom Hearts to take it once and for all. But it had been protected and sealed by King Mickey and Yen Sid with 7 Legendary Keyblades. Now he is seeking to break the seal and kill all in his way.

This game had been created before on another forum and in that new heroes had gone on their way to fight him, each with their own stories as why to stop him, and in the first KH NES these guys failed so far.

This new game continues on from that original game but is sort of a new slate. So you did not have to play the original to play this as what the aim is and who the enemy is has been made clear.

Hope it is all understood! If not feel free to discuss in the OOC thread of this game. Which also clarifies more info. Remember, the story is not complete, it is neverending! So you can add anything new into it as long as it fits with the world and flows nicely. If you wish to recreaet events and stories of the first two games, or any anime, manga, videogame, or movie for that matter, but want to incorproate a new element into it, Feel free!

~ Nelo Angelo~

A high pitched screech echoed in the Crimson Warriors ears that suddenly woke him. He was lying on the back of his steed, the mighty war-horse, Sleipnir, who was furiously riding through a valley. He groggily sat up putting his right hand across his forehead, squeezing his temple with thumb and forefinger. Had he fallen asleep whilst Sleipnir was riding? He was not sure. He couldn't even remember to where he was riding.
Surrounding him, were cliffs, rich in a reddy-browny colour. He recognised them, they were known as the Red Cliffs, and the valley in between which he was travelling was known as the Crescent Valley, aptly named due to its curved shape like a crescent moon. But why was he here? He shook his head to reawaken himself, hoping it would regain his memory.

Sleipnir continued to gallop furiously, the mighty steed never tiring, its energy was boundless. Close in the distance, the valley came to a close as the tips of the crescent closed. But the horse continued at breakneck speed. Nelo seemed calm and not worried about the dead end ahead, and rightly so, as the steed rushed straight up the cliff at the tip of the valley. Sleipnir was a fearless horse that had participated in many wars with Nelo Angelo.

Suddenly he remembered where he was, the Northern Wei ruins of Ancient China. He had come here for there had been rumours of a sword here, that Maximus was seeking. There were many temples and tombs in this land, home to ancient warlords and generals who had fought a mighty battle in the Red Cliffs. Below the cliffs were many valleys and the tombs and temples lay deep within. The Crimson Warrior’s memory was not fully back with him, so he was not sure how he had stumbled across this information.

He tugged on the reigns of Sleipnir, halting the steed just as it reached the edge of a cliff ready to descend into another valley. He could hear hooves below. He was not alone in these valleys. Riding below were seven figures, clad in what seemed a one piece black robe their heads covered in a hood. He recognised them instantly; they were Maximus’ Holy Order of Shadow Knights, seven powerful Knights who were once Kings of mighty Kingdoms, corrupted by Maximus. They now followed his command.

But they were not alone. Far ahead in the valley they were riding, was a small group of men riding white horses. Leading them seemed to be their General. It seemed they were unaware that they were being chased by the Holy Order.

“Hm. They may need our help Sleipnir. Be cautious.” The horse turned away from the edge of the valley ninety degrees, and sped across the edge of the cliff following the group of soldiers ahead. However, the Knights had noticed the Crimson Warrior. The shining black metal armour on the warhorse gleamed as the rays of the sun bounced on them atop the cliff. One Knight broke from the ranks and ascended the cliffs.

“Damn!” Nelo continued to speed ahead as the Knight neared. He had no choice it seemed but to face him. The fiery blade of Cursed Flames conjured into his hand. The Knight reached the edge and was on his tail. He summoned a huge lance with twin axe like blades sprouting at the tip of the spear and threw it towards Nelo. The Ryujin Jakka spurted forth a serpent of flames and surrounded Nelo Angelo. He dodged the lance and tugged on the reigns of Sleipnir to turn around. The steed ran towards the Knight, who had the lance back in his hand. It was a game of chicken. Both men had their weapons out in front of them. As the Crimson Warrior neared he swung his blade and the serpent zoomed straight at the Knight. The Knight spun his lance furiously in his hands shielding himself from the flames but as he did so, Nelo jumped of Sleipnir, the steed meandering away from the Knights ahead, Nelo then somersaulted over the Knight an slashed him across his back as he did so. Sleipnir meandered back in the path of the falling Nelo so that he landed safely on the saddle of the steed. The Knight and his black horse fell from aside the cliff down into the valley. This incident triggered the group of soldiers attention as they looked back to see the falling Knight, and more importantly the Holy Order right on their tail! A soldier spoke, “General Shang! We’re being followed!” The General was the General of the Chinese army, promoted after he and a woman by the name of Mulan had defeated a mighty threat, a Hun warrior known as Shan Yu.

“What! They found us! Keep going men! We cannot let them get that sword!”

Dylan awoke in the cave he called home later than he normally did. Sunlight was beating down hard outside causing a waving affect that seemed to twist and deform the entire enviroment. The afternoon heat always makes it dificult to find food because most animals retreat underground before the sun reaches its highest point. The sun had already passed its highest point and was begininng its path down. Most animals would not be out until almost an hour after sunset.

"Well i will have to try..." Dylan sighed. With a big waving arm motion towards the back of the cave Dylan made a ball of water rise up out of a pot. He manipulted the water to form a sheet around his body and then froze it in a way that it would bend sunlight around him so he wouldnt be hit directly with the hot rays.

Using his powers to move the ice armor with him Dylan walked out of the cave. The ice around him kept him cool and also kept the sun from burning him. The cave was in the foothills of a mountain range that cut through the desert. It would be impossible o find food if he went further out into the desert but if he stayed in the hills he would have a chance of finding something. Dylan probed outward with energy to feel for anything living near by. There was a small mammal hidden behind a hill close to him. Dylan approached the hill but stayed on the other side from the animal. He mentally zeroed in on its location while reaching inside to the black magic powers locked in his mind.

"Thunder!" Dylan shouted and a bolt of lightning came down from about 20 feet in the air and hit the creature. Dylan felt the life leave the animal instantly. He walked over the hill and saw the rabbit he had just killed. He picked it up and dropped it in a bag hanging from his shoulder. "One more that size and I will have plenty for tonight,"

Just then from the mountain hieghts there was a bright flash. The light was so bright that when it went away the day seemed almost dark. A less intense flash followed from the same spot and Dylan saw that it was on the summit of one of the smallest mountains. Out of curiosity Dylan made his ice armor float up, carrying him with it, and towards the mountains. He flew toward the light, which was pulsing less and less every second, increasing speed as he flew. Moments later he was standing on the mountain top staring down at a small chain. Dylan had seen many chains just like it. Every chain had a small ornament on the end, this one a black heart with an arrow at the bottom lined in red.

Dylan locked up in fear. He had seen many chains like that before, but never in this world. When Dylan was trapped in the darkness the chains floated around everywhere. He had somehw escaped the darkness but a piece of it found him. Dylan never wanted anything to do with the darkness again but the chain reminded him of his time trapped. Without even realizing what he was doing, Dylan reached out and grabbed the chain. Everything went black

The group of soldiers continued to speed through the valley, the Holy Order chasing behind. It was not looking good for them. The six remaining Knights all summoned their weapons, ready to strike.
General Shang knew this was trouble but did not draw his blade nor command his men to fight. The valley curved beneath the cliffs and a downhill trek could be seen ahead. The Knights were now right behind them. The lead Knight broke away and swung his huge broadsword straight for the General. He drew his blade just in time to block the strike.

General Shang glared at him furiously and then turned his above the cliff tops and screamed, “NOOW!!” A torrential pour of arrows showered from atop the cliffs straight at the Knights. An army of archers were waiting to strike, led by none other than the Generals wife, Fa Mulan. The Knights horses whinnied and pulled up on their hind legs in fright. General Shang swiped at the lead Knight relentlessly, but each swipe was blocked by the powerful broadsword. The soldiers managed to break away and sped ahead of their General. The Knight continued blocking but as he did so, in his left hand a dark ball of energy was surging. He shot his hand at the General’s face, as though he was throwing a handful of dust at him. The dark ball smacked him clean in the face knocking him off.

“SHAAANG!” came a scream from the top of the cliff. It seemed too late to save him. But then a hand quickly appeared and scooped the General up as he rolled away. It was the Crimson Warrior. He sat the general behind him on Sleipnir and called forth the Akujiki Blade. He threw it ahead of him towards the knight like a spear but it missed him completely. The tip of the blade landed into the ground, half buried. Little did the Knight know, that was the Crimson Warriors plan.

“IFRIIIT COME FORTH!” The valley rumbled and shook in might. The earth below crumbled as a huge fissure appeared where the sword was dug into the ground. Fire emerged from the blade and burst through the crack. The flames erupted like a volcano and the huge boulders smashed into the air as they did so. A horned beast with deadly fangs shot straight out the flames into the air and roared in an unearthly rage. It grabbed two boulders that shot up along with him with its huge clawed hands and set them alight with its grasp. It flung them at the Knights as they tried to brace themselves. The flames then encircled the beast as it drew in the energy from the scorching fire. After a thunderous roar it swooped down at the Knights scorching them with the intense Hellfire. The Knights sped away unable to retaliate.

Nelo Angelo motioned Sleipnir to climb the cliffs towards the archers and Fa Mulan. The steed rushed up the cliffs and neared the army. Nelo then dismounted and helped the General down.
“Shang! Are you alright?” panted Mulan as she held onto the General and placed him in her lap. He was wounded and dazed from the fall but seemed fine. “Thank you for helping him...”

“Nelo Angelo”

“..Nelo Angelo. Thank you.”

In the blackness Dylan froze. He could no longer feel his body or see anything. There was no sound or smells. Dylan had no sensation at all. It was as if he was just a consciousness without a body. His mind screamed out "No! I can't be back in the darkness...." He heard the words in his mind but he didnt hear any physical words being shouted. "I escaped I can't go back."

Sensation started coming back. dylan could feel that he was standing but that was it. Everything around him was still a black void. He raised his hand in front of his face, still holding the chain. The ornament at the end started to glow and the light illuminated his own body. "Here I am.... back in this hellish place," Dylan said to himself, this time actually hearing his own voice. Red lines crossed the heart for just an instant and then disappeared. The chain started to glow brighter until Dylan could see the puddle of water at his feet. Then he noticed that there was a soft brown color under the water. The darkness started to dissolve around Dylan and he was once again standing on top of the mountain in the desert.

"I'm not in the darkness?" Dylan looked around glad to know exactly where he was. The sun was much lower in the sky, almost to the horizon. Dylan Pulled the water up from the ground and made the ice armor nce again. He dropped the chain into the pouch with the rabbit and started to fly back to his cave.

When Dylan reached his cave he returned the water to its pot and threw the contents of his bag out. the chain clinked against the rocky ground sending echoes throughout the entire cave. When the unnaturally long echo ended Dylan began to prepare the rabbit for cooking. He pulled water out of its body to drink and cooked the meat.

After eating Dylan looked at the chain again. It was no longer producing any light but he could still feel power within it. An image flashed in his mind of a boy with a blue silver hair. he was holding a strange sword that appeared to be made out of a demonic wing with an angelic wing protruding from it. Hanging from the handle was the same chain that was sitting on the floor of the cave. Keyblade.

"I dont know what a keyblade is really but apparently you are a part of it," Dylan said with the keychain in his hand, though he didn't remember picking it up. Dylan put his head down and went to sleep.

The Crimson Warrior followed the group of soldiers and Fa Mulan from out of the valley into a vast land ahead. It was known as the Land of Dragons. The General rode with Mulan on horseback as they entered the Encampment. She took him into a large tent where the camps doctor was situated. He was groggy but he was fine.

“Thank you for your help Nelo Angelo. I am Li Shang, General to the Emperor’s army. This is my wife, Mulan.” spoke the General, “What brings you to our world?”

“Those Knights, they were the Holy Order of Shadow Knights, working for Maximus.” Nelo replied. “I had come here as I’d heard this ancient land was home to one of the sword he seeks. I didn’t expect all his Knights to be here however. He must have another motive.”

General Shang seemed to understand what Nelo was talking about, but Mulan did not. All of a sudden a shout of “WHAT!” came from behind Nelo.

“Sword? Kniights?? Maximuss??? Aww man you gotta be kidding me!! We’ve had one eagle eyed maniac trying to kill the Emperor with those little ugly things called ‘Nobodies’. A nobody! I mean, what is that? Those things were somebodies I tell ya, and we whupped their bootys! Haha! Oh Yeah!”

“Mushu! Thats no way to behave in front of our guest!” Mulan hushed in an angry tone at the funny little dragon.

Nelo Angelo eyed the little red creature curiously.

“What are you lookin’ at Cape boy?”

“You are peculiar looking lizard.”

“Say what?! Hey! I am the guardian of lost souls! I am the powerful! The pleasurable! The indestructible! Mushu! Aand I am a Draaagoon! Jeez!”

“That’s enough Mushsu,” interrupted Mulan. “It seems we have a new threat upon our land and they seem dangerous. What do you know about them Nelo?”

Where to begin thought Nelo. He decided to tell them about Maximus, the very first Keybearer and his plans of opening Kingdom Hearts and yielding its power of light and darkness. How he was searching for the seven swords to unlock its power. His seven Knights who do his bidding. Gilgamesh, a neo powerful Servant summoned from the depths of Babylon. And how one of the swords he seeks is said to be in this Ancient land and Maximus has no intention of leaving any survivors.

“Oh hell no. You have GOT to be kidding me. Why can’t these crazy fools leave us in peeeace. Whhhhy!!”

“Mushu! Hm. Shang? What should we do?” asked Mulan.

“I will go to the Palace and inform the Emperor and gather an army. Mulan, you go and find Yao, Ling, and Chien Po and have them bring their men to the Imperial Square. Mushu, I want you to go with Nelo. Aid him in his search. Nelo Angelo? You will help us right?”

The Crimson Warrior wished to stop the Knights on his own without any allies, only so no one would end up getting hurt. But it seemed wiser to work together if all members of the Holy Order were around.

“Very well.”

----

Meanwhile the Shadow Knights fled to the Mountain Trail far opposite the Red Cliffs where it was cold and full of snow. The rode until they reached the Summit. The lead Knight stepped down from his horse and neared a cave.

“This place. He should be here.” They all entered carefully and suddenly a loud screech of a bird reverberated within the cave. An eagle swooped straight for them but in one quick swipe, the lead Knight grabbed the eagle by its neck nonchalantly. A voice boomed, “Hyabusa?!” A large beast of a man with a long thin moustache, dark red eyes appearing from two snake slits for eyelids stood in front of them.

“Let go of my bird,” he hissed through gritted teeth.

“Shan Yu. Leader of the Hun army, well the only member of the Hun army. Hehehe.” Smirked the Knight. “I have a proposition for you. To regain your honour and take revenge on the General and Emperor.”

In a small village far away from Dylan.

An ancient looking man sat in a decaying building with a semi-circle of other elders seated in front of him. The building was one of few that had been left standing after a dark force had sweeped through the world from an unknown source.

"The flash yesterday was most unsettling," said a woman elder closest to the ancient looking man. Her voice was stronger than one would expect from a woman her age. She had survived the near total destruction of her home.

"It could be a sign of things becoming better," Said a man sitting exactly opposite of the oldest man.

"No, it felt like the darkness all those years ago." Another man said.

"I definitely felt light in the energy." another woman said.

The ancient man began to speak. " The flash was neither a signal of light or dark. I felt instead that it was in fact made of both, such as the light in the earliest hours of morning, just before sunrise." The ancient man paused and everyone else broke into chatter before the man continued. "The flash signaled, in fact, the beginnings of travel to other worlds. It was caused when an item not of our world appeared. If something from another world can come here, then we can find a way to go to another world. Another world that hasn't been destroyed as our own has."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just outside of the building.

A young girl had her ear up to the door of the only standing building in what used to be a town. Now the building had become the "town center" used only for meetings, everyone lived in tents. She listened as the high elder spoke of other worlds. The girl had always believed in other worlds, but everyone had always told her it was just silly imagination. Now, the high elder was confirming that there were other words and that the flash that was seen on the horizon the day before was the key to finding new worlds.

The girl ran home and put together a pack of survival gear and extra clothes. She left her small village alone to find the source of the light and to visit other worlds.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dylan awoke early enough this day and he hunted and collected before the sun ever came up. In his cave he passed the time by training with a wooden sword and a stuffed dummy. The combination of black magic and physical energy being sent out from the cave made a silent unconscious beacon for the girl to follow. Dylan would soon have his first human contact since his world was consumed by the darkness so long ago.

Dylan spent the day hacking away at the stuffed dummy and shooting spells at it. When he was completely exhausted he sat down for a small meal and some water. While he was eating the chain started to pulse softly again. Dylan looked toward it and picked it up again.

"Why are you here?" Dylan asked the charm. As if answering it flashed again and grew warm.

----------------------------------------------------------------

At the point where desert becomes hills the young girl felt energy pulsing from further up in the hills. "I'm getting close," she whispered. She crested a hill and found a small cave in the side of another. There was a pulsing light coming from inside and the silhouette of a person sitting.

"Why are you here?" a voice drifted out of the cave and the light brightened again.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'm here to find new worlds.... Are you from another world?" a female voice sounded from outside Dylan's cave.

"Who's there?!?!" Dylan jumped up and turned to see a girl enter the cave. Dylan picked up the wooden sword and began to access his black magic.

The girl spread her arms out in a defenseless motion and introduced herself. "I am Michelle, I come from a village that is just under a days walk from here."

"You mean you are a native of this world? I didnt think anyone lived here," Dylan dropped the sword and stepped towards the girl as she lowered her arms.

"There arent many of us.... You are from a different world!" Michelle's eyes lit up as she mentioned other worlds. "Where are you from? What is it like? Can you take me there? How did you get here? How many worlds are there? How many have you been to?" Dylan couldnt help but laugh at the endless stream of questions coming from the girl who appeared to be around his own age.

"My world.... was destroyed. I don't know how long ago it happened but darkness invaded the world and these monsters took the very essence of the world and consumed it with darkness. There is nothing left of it now." As dylan spoke of the destruction of his world Michelle remembered the attack on her own world.

"The monsters you talked about. Did they have a pitch black shadowy skin? Did some even wear a symbol of a crossed out heart?" Michelle asked.

"Thats them......" He held up the chain, "The symbol looked like this but it had red lines crossing through it."

"Exactly, they attacked this world too but suddenly left. But not before causing all of the destruction you see now." Michelle pointed outside.

"Your world got lucky. There is obviously still a world here and even life," Dylan said.

"Let's go to other worlds then! Let's find a world that isnt destroyed like ours."

"YOUR WORLD ISN'T DESTROYED!" Dylan threw the chain in his hand down as he shouted out. "My world has nothing left of it....."

"I'm sorry... I just.... I want to get away. I want to find a world untouched by the darkness that attacked both of our worlds."

"I do too, but you know what? WE CAN'T! There is no way off of the wasteland world here," Dylan's voice rose and fell as he spoke. Michelle could tell that he was troubled. Of course he was troubled. He was all alone on a world after his home was completely obliterated.

"Come with me back to my village. Our high elder...... He knows things.... The flash yesterday, he said that an item appeared in our world that would give us access to other worlds," the words fell out of her mouth in a jumbled mess.

"I have the item here," Dylan pointed to the chain on the ground, "It is a chain. Looking at it yesterday the word keyblade flashed through my mind."

"Well let's go to my village."

Dylan agreed and the two left the cave to head back to the girl's village.

OOC: Alright guys I know that this isn't that great toward the end. It has a few things that would NOT work in normal literature but I felt that they were necessary to progress the plot.

OOC: I think I'll go for the more "Roleplaying"-style of writing, if you guys don't mind. It's easier to read, in my opinion.

It seems to be a depressing period for the population of Paradisus. Only three months ago, their beloved king had died protecting the nation against a horrible man named Maximus. Now, their popular young queen, Ilaria, is setting off in a long and dangerous journey to vanquish Paradisus's threat once and for all.

Ezio: You've only just stabilized the government... Perhaps it's better if you hold off this journey a few more months?

The silver-haired girl didn't stop packing to answer her adviser. She could understand why he looked terribly disturbed as his eyes followed her quick movements across the room.

Ilaria: I cannot stand here and wait for the next time Maximus decides to strike. In the meantime, I entrust the nation to you.

Ezio: Wait--

Ilaria: Don't hide your joy, Ezio. I knew you've wanted to try your hand at ruling Paradisus. *chuckles* Consider this a trial period. Well, I have a meeting.

Before Ezio could speak again, the petite girl disappeared around the corner. He was silent for a moment, then broke into an amused smile. How she always manages to make governing a prosperous nation so simple, he might never know. She skipped into the throne room, where all of her nation's important personnel had gathered, waiting for her.

Fang: About time! *grins* We're all busy people.

Ilaria: *smiles* Sorry, I got caught up in some... nagging. Anyways, I'm here to announce who I shall take with me on my journey.

Everyone looked at their sovereign, attentive and silent. They already had a vague hypothesis of who she would choose. In fact, it was quite obvious, for some of the individuals in the room cannot leave their posts unattended.

Ilaria: Lightning and Yuffie will of course be accompanying me, as well as Allen and Train. We leave in three days, so pack quick and say your goodbyes. In the absence of these four capable individuals, I have enlisted the help of another man.

From the shadows, a figure of a tall, lean but strong man appeared. He wore a white, sinister-looking mask and had dark-colored clothing.

Ilaria: His name is Hei. As the leader of the Underground, he is quite able and has many connections.

Hei: *bows*

Zero: Wait, you're letting someone from the Underground into the government. Are you insane?

Ilaria: I'm quite sane, last I checked. The peace of Paradisus cannot be obtained through mere, straightforward governing. The Underground is needed to keep crimes at a low, even if it's through intimidation.

Aidou: ...Though I don't like this, it's true that extreme care of morality does not guarantee a stable government...

Dante: So what's this guy's job going to be?

Ilaria: Since Ezio will be occupied, and I've taken Train on my journey, Hei will serve as the new intelligence officer. He will report to directly to Ezio. However, the captains of the four divisions: Fang, Shiki, Dante, and Zero, may employ him as needed.

As the meeting dismissed, Ilaria turned to the three keyblades levitating behind the glorious throne. They are her family's history, present, and future.

OOC: No problem Cammi. It probably is better actually lol. I'm just so used to writing like a story :S Lovin your guys events so far wink.gif

----
Shan Yu recalled the events of what had happened many years ago. He had survived the battle with Mulan and those heroes from past. But they were unaware of this. After recuperating and honing himself, he had always planned revenge.

“What do you have in mind?”

---------------

Nelo Angelo was now making his way to the mountain trail riding his steed. This was the route those Knights had taken when retreating from Ifrits attack. Accompanying him was the dragon Mushu.

“Aw man. I have had enough. All I wanted was to regain my role as guardian to Mulan’s family. But nooo. We have more crazy psychos tryin to destroy our home. It was destroyed once already. I am NOT gonna let it happen again.”

“Good. We won’t let that happen. Now try to remain silent whilst we travel. Otherwise you might cause an avalanche.”

“Say what?! Hey! Listen cape boy. I’m only going with you cuz General Shang said so alright! And I am his trustee guardian you got that. Who you think got him into that great physique huh? That’s right. I did! He only wanted me with you so I could take care of any of those Noboides, or Heartless or whatever the heck they call themselves these days…”

Mushu continued to blather on as they travelled much to the Crimson Warrior’s annoyance. All of a sudden he could hear a furry of footsteps coming from atop the icy mountain top. He quickly grabbed Mushu who was now standing on top of Sleipnir’s head rambling on to shut him up.

“Hey! Let go…mmmfmfmf…”

He wrapped him under his crimson cloak and eyed the mountain tops above. They were not alone. Sleipnir slowly continued up the mountain trail. The Knights must have heard Mushu’s shouting thought Nelo. Mushu was struggling and broke free from under the cloak.

“Mmmffff..HEY! Do you know what the penalty is for layin your hands on a guardian?! It is deeaa aarrhgh! What is that!!”

From atop the mountain, soaring in a blue flash a beast headed towards them with a lance in hand. Sleipnir whinnied and moved out the way as Nelo somersaulted off his back summoning two of his blades as he did so to block the thrusting attack of the lance.

Landing on its feet like a cat, the blue furry beast panted through gritted teeth. It resembled a lion of some sort with its face looking exactly like one, but had the physique of a man. It had white flowing hair and a white mane. On its forehead was a horn that was broken in half. It had huge paws like a lions for hands and feet, and in its hand was a long sturdy lance.

It charged at Nelo roaring as it did so. The Crimson Warrior held his Fuuraiken and Fuuenkazen blades in his hands. He blocked a barrage of thrusts and swipes with his blades. The creature was fast, but Nelo was faster. He slashed an oncoming thrust with the Fuuenkazen to his right, knocking the beast slightly off balance, and then quickly floor sweeped the beast with a low spinning kick knocking it to the ground. But it was no good. The beast got up in a flash and with a mighty roar and unleashed a kick of his own. A powerful Thrust Kick sent Nelo soaring back into a pile of snow on the mountain trail. The beast then seemed to muster some energy with his body. A blue flash of light appeared around his torso, and then into his mouth. He let loose an icy wind of flames with a roar straight at the Crimson Warrior. In the nick of time Nelo rolled out the way as he was digging himself out of the snow and called his Fuuraiken blade back into his hand. The blade of lightning drew in energy and let out a surge of current at the blue beast. The beast bent down a little and jumped high up into the air. It came shooting down, spear in hand to impale the Crimson Warrior. Nelo waited, and then unleashed a powerful blue lightning strike in the shape of a huge icicle at the beast. It hit him clean in the chest sending him flying back onto the mountain edge. It quickly grabbed onto the ledge with one hand to stop itself from falling. Nelo ran towards the beast, sword in hand, poised for a counter strike if it were to push itself up.

“Who are you? Why did you attack us?”

The beast grumbled in a low tone sounding like the growling of a lion. In one quick motion it pushed itself off the mountain and jumped up and over Nelo landing behind him. Its strength was amazing. However, the beast stood turned facing away from Nelo and did not seem to want to attack.

“I only attack to test you. Kimahri wished to know if you were his enemy. But you are not. You did not strike Kimahri for a finishing blow.”

The beast turned around and looked at Nelo after he finished what he had to say.

“I am Nelo Angelo, a humble warrior wishing to stop the evil that has entered this land from causing harm to its people. I’m guessing your name is Kimahri? But you do not seem to be from this land? “

“I am Kimahri, a Ronso, from Mount Gagazet. This place not Kimahri’s home. But the mountain remind Kimahri of home…”

“A Ronso? I have heard of that name a long time ago in my world. My grandfather would tell me stories about his travels. Very trusting guardians he would say.”

“Did someone say guardian biggrin.gif” Mushu appeared from behind a huge pile of snow. “I would sure recognise one when I saw one cape boy.” He continued as he walked towards the two. “Hm, lion man here sure does look the part. I dunno, he doesn’t have that ‘guardian feel’ about him.”

“Ignore him Kimahri. What are you doing here?”

“I was travelling with my Summoner in airship, when we were attacked by another. Kimahri manage to infiltrate with another guardian into the enemy’s ship and we destroy them. But their captain open a portal when Kimahri try to finish him. I end up here.”

Nelo understood what had happened. He wondered who was in that Airship. Could it have been Maximus? He had used one to embark upon Nelo’s home all those years ago. But only because it was so secluded in the system, no one was able to teleport to it. This land here was not so difficult for Maximus to enter through his dark portal. Besides, his Holy Order had the power to enter the world through their dark portals. It must’ve been someone else.

“Kimahri. It seems this enemy is still in this world. Finding him will get us answers. He may have some link with the enemy I am in search of. What say we look together?”

“Hm. Kimahri need to be guardian of somebody else here. Ok.”

“Hey! One guardian is enough around here!”

OOC: The bad thing about Roleplaying style is that it omits a lot of detail. D: And lol, Karen, I'm quite confused by your story. Is there's a prologue I missed somewhere?

Ilaria donned on the formal ceremonial outfit that was once her mother's, and the all the previous queens. The only exception is that she wore a tall, magnificent crown on her intricately woven hair with her family crest, for she was royalty by blood, not marriage.

Ezio: *entering the room* ...Have I ever told you I like you better in that outfit?

Ilaria: *stares at him, amused* And need I remind you that not only am I 9 years younger than you, but I'm also your superior?

Ezio: Haha! Age is but a number and rank but a title. Love knows no boundaries!

Ilaria: Love? You mean "lust".

He opened his mouth, but, his eyes seemingly to have caught something behind the young queen, shut it immediately. Instead, he bowed deeply and stalked away in mock anger with a smirk pasted on his face.

Lightning: ...Are you sure you want to entrust the kingdom to that... guy?

Ilaria: Lightning! How long have you been there?

Lightning: I've always been here. The only reason he didn't continue pestering you is because he saw my glare.

Ilaria: Ah, the "death stare". He's honestly not that bad, just... inappropriate. *grimaces for a moment, then recovers her usual smile* Well, the ceremony is starting soon!

In the ceremony, she stood on the balcony of her palace, addressing the citizens that have gathering the plaza. She confirmed Ezio as the temporary caretaker of Paradisus and ensured the worried mass with her confidence and warm demeanor. When the ceremony concluded, she took a shortcut back to her room, and bumped into someone in the darkness.

Ilaria: Wha--? Who is it? This passage is only for members of the House of Virtus.

???: Oh? I thought I qualified that condition.

Ilaria: Dante? ...Wait! No one is supposed to know you're related to me, so you can't be seen here!

Dante: Honestly, your over-protectiveness is quite unnerving. Especially since I'm older than you.

Ilaria: While you are my cousin, it does not change the fact that you're a more demon than most of the population would accept. People only turn a blind eye to you because you do your job in the military well. However, if they learn that there might be a chance that a demon will rule over them, then--

Dante: "They'll kick me out"? Yes, you've lectured me several times. But maybe I should remind you, and the previous rulers, all have some demon blood. Having more or less of it makes little difference. It's common knowledge, yet the Virtus have never once been overthrown in Paradisus' history. So don't worry.

Ilaria: Either way, be careful. Besides, since I have a great chance of not coming back alive, I do not want the Virtus dynasty to end with me. You should start preparing to take over my duties.

Dante: *grins, almost sinisterly* I have, for years.

OOC: I have a decent grasp of it now. Hmm... I guess I'll go interact with Nelo's char. biggrin.gif

Ilaria and her four companions are ready to set off on their journey. A crowd gathered to send the travelers on their long trek. Ilaria had given each high-ranked officials of Paradisus sending stones to communicate with her at any time. Ilaria, with her control over her keyblades, will be the one responsible for transferring her party from one world to the next.

Ilaria: I've never used my keyblades to travel across dimensions... I wonder if it'll work?

Allen: ...You... didn't practice? *gulps nervously*

Shiki: With your luck, you just might end up teleporting above a bottomless abyss or some endless desert...

Fang: Very optimistic.

Ilaria: *clears throat loudly* We never know until we try! Let's go!

The three powerful keyblades appear above Ilaria and draw a pattern in the sky with beams of white light. A portal was opened a few seconds later, causing speculators to gasp, a few to cringe in fear, and some to stare open-mouthed at the curious phenomena.

Lightning: Your Highness, I just want you to know that the lives of four people are in your hands...

Train: I swear, if we end up at the bottom of an ocean--

Ilaria: We're wasting time!

The... ahem, eager queen shoved her hesitant companions into the portal. After a quick wave to the crowd, she, too, leaped into the portal, heading for an uncertain destination. For a moment, they seem to be falling forever, but suddenly, they hit hard ground.

Yuffie: Ow! I thought the dead don't feel pain!

Train: ...We're alive? ...Whoa, we're alive! Hallelujah!

Lightning: But where is this? This white substance is... snow?

Allen: Ilaria, did you just teleport us to a secluded snow mountain?

Ilaria: ...Oops? Good thing we brought extra clothes for warmth!

Though the others sighed at their situation, the young ruler was not deflated. This was her first trip outside her world! She scanned the white landscape and saw... something blue? The girl squinted and realize that it was not "something", but "someone"! Eager to interact with residents from the foreign world, she summoned two of her keyblades, Clotho and Lachesis, combined them into a floating board, stepped on and sped towards her target.

OOC: ooh you wanna enter the fray do you Cammi ;-D Alright! I might be a little late to reply to what you post this weekend. Gonna be at work =/ But will try to.

***

Meanwhile, back at the Palace, the General had arrived with the group of soldiers and archers that he was with in the Red Cliffs. He dismounted his horse and walked in a quick pace up the palace steps. The huge red doors to the palace lay ahead. He pushed them open and entered the main throne room. There the Emperor sat. A tall man, with a long white beard and moustache, wearing a golden yellow robe with his hands folded together within the very long sleeves.

“Ah, General Li Shang. The heavens smile upon us. You and your men are back. How did the events at the Red Cliffs fair?”

“Your Majesty. I’m afraid it is not good news. Although there numbers are few, they are very powerful and dangerous seven men. We have come across a very noble ally, a man named Nelo Angelo who informed us of them. It is as you had been informed. They had come for a sword. We searched every valley in the Red Ciffs. We were unable to locate it, but were unaware they were on our tail. However, I had anticipated an ambush and had Mulan prepare archesrs. We managed to rout them with the help of Nelo Angelo. I do not where they are now, but this man is helping us find them.”

“Hm...Nelo Angelo. A warrior from another world I presume. We have been in this situation before have we not. Interesting.”

“Your highness, we need to prepare for the worst. If these men are as dangerous as the man they work for, and if all of them are here, we are in trouble. We need to prepare for war.”

“Hm...very well. General Li Shang. Gather your men. We must protect our people.”

------

The mountain winds began to cut through the ice cold air as the Crimson Warrior and Kimahri walked across the mountain peak. The encircling ravine almost came to a close as far ahead the mountain path opened into a vast snowy field. Nelo Angelo was walking alongside Sleipnir to be respectful as Kimahri would be walking. It was a long silent trek.

“Maaan, why did I have to end up travelling with a bunch o’ mutes! You guys suure know how to make a journey interesting.” Mushu groaned as he lay on the back of Sleipnir.

Truth was Nelo wanted to be keep alert to the area. He was not familiar with the place. Kimahri just seemed to be a man who spoke very little, but seemed very attentive. They had entered the snowy field. However, it was more than just a field. Further ahead, there was a deep valley between this mountain and a mountain ahead. The Crimson Warrior walked a little further to the edge of the valley ahead. Below was another snowy path spiralling down the valley. He could make out a cave in the middle of the track below, that seemed to enter the heart of the mountain.

“How curious.”

“What’s curious cape boy?” Mushu called from behind him as Sleipnir came toward him along with Kimahri. “Heeeyyywwhooa...I am NOT going down there!”

“It seems there is a cave leading deep into that mountain. How curious for a cave entrance to be in such a place.”

“You wanna go down there? Man are you crazy!? Places like that give me the creeps. I’m tellin you its better we stay up here!” cowered Mushu.
Nelo Angelo looked at Kimahri. The beast gave a small nod as it to say, let’s go. Nelo understood. As he was about to step down. He heard voices. Squabbling in fact. It seemed they were not alone...

[OOC: Just a quickie, to get myself intro'd. I'm regressing a bit from my bio.]

It was dark.

Dark and cold. A narrow path split the darkness on either side, with a slightly lighter shade of gray, seemingly out of which a light fog was rising in lazy curls. Down this path, a girl was walking. She was in a black hooded cloak that brushed the floor as she made her way, slightly dazed, to wherever the path would lead her.

A vague longing filled her chest for her companions of former times. But even the painful longing was welcome seeing as, for the longest time, she hadn't felt anything in those regions of her body more accurately termed as the 'heart'. What she wouldn't give to be back in her bright castle, surrounded by the glow of the people who loved her as she loved them. But that was in the past, and she could never return to those days.

"After all, it's better to weep over fond memories than to return and destroy the beauty of even the memories..."

No sooner had she thought that thought, than the darkness seemed to give way. It was only a faint change, but it was a change, nonetheless. Keeping her senses alert, the former Queen of Hearts (for that is who she is) continued forward, ready for anything.

Or so she thought.

Suddenly, a piercing light shone through the gloom, and for the first time in what seemed like an eternity, she heard her name called by a familiar, beloved voice. At first she thought she was hallucinating, but when a large hand grabbed her arm and spun her around, Shelby's large gray eyes looked up into those of her brother.

"So it is you..." he said quietly, as he reached up and pulled the oversized hood away from her face.

OOC: I meant I have "a decent grasp" of what your story is about, Karen. biggrin.gif And that's okay Nelo. ^^ Thought it'd be kinda boring if I just carried on a story on my own, especially since I don't even have a clue which direction my story should be going. xD.

Taken by the strangeness of the new environment, it took a while for the guards to realize the person they were supposed to be protecting was no longer standing beside them. Groaning and shaking their heads, they trailed the disappearing figure of their sovereign.

Yuffie: How did she get there so fast!?

Train: ...I regret signing up for this...

As she drew nearer to her target, she saw that the blue man was not alone. Beside him stood a black-haired man clad in red upon a majestic white horse. And... a lizard?

Ilaria: Hey! *descends in front of the strangers, her two keyblades revert to its original state and levitate behind their owner* May I ask what is the name of this world? And where might I find more of your people?

She actually had a lot more questions, -- albeit some unimportant-- but she contained them, with much difficulty. She could see these two individuals were not of the talking type. In fact, they look trained and powerful. And perhaps dangerous. In any instant, her reckless eagerness turned to uncertainty and cautiousness.
