Powell will turn 26 this weekend. Looking back at his SB's over the past seven years, we see an obvious progression.

2002 - 10.12
2003 - 10.03
2004 - 9.87
2005 - 9.77
2006 - 9.77
2007 - 9.74
2008 - 9.72

How long can he continue at this trajectory? Not talking medals,etc.. just this streak of annual PRs?

One thing I would love to see from Asafa this year is to make a more concerted effort to run the 200. He is one of the top 5 bend runners - ever - and the "nonsense" about the groin being the reason why he can't run the 200 is way overblown; it was injured, it is no longer - time to get back after it.

Over this coming season Asafa is still going to be fast, and he is still going to drill everybody on the circuit (sans Bolt). But getting into some deuces with at least one of the top guys (Bolt, Gay, Spearmon, Dix, Crawford, Ndure, Carter, Churanda) - out of his comfort zone - and COMPETING for a PB might make him more comfortable in the Berlin final. I think he upgrades his bronze this year in Berlin with a PB.

Exactly. Both myself and Smoke have said this before.

I think AP will run 9.65 this year maybe 9.58 and lose in Berlin.  And I am serious about it!
