While on this topic, I started thinking about sprinters who did run a great 4x4 leg. Which would be a sub 45.00. Talking 100/200 guys who might have ran a 400 or two but weren't considered 400m men. Not saying they didn't have a faster split just going with the fastest split I'm aware of.
Steve Williams..44.6/San Diego State Larry Black..43.5/NCC Pietro Mennea...44.2/Italy John Regis...43.9/GB Dennis Mitchell..44.4/Florida Derrick Florence...44.00/Texas A&M Edwin Roberts...44.8/Trinidad-NCC Wallace Spearmon...44.9/Arkansas Warren Edmonson...44.8/UCLA Pat Johnson...44.8/Oregon Justin Gatlin...44.3/Tennessee Pablo Franco...44.8/Washington Arthur Williams...44.6/ACU Lorenzo Daneil...44.3/Mississippi State Roy Martin...43.5/SMU Elios Coombs...44.3/Ohio State Johnny Jones...44.9/Texas Calvin Long...44.2/Florida Then there were these guys who did run the 400 along with the other sprints. Not "just" a 400m cat however Cliff Wiley...44.4/Kansas Henry Thomas...43.7/UCLA Henry Carr...44.6/Arizona St J' Warren Hooker...44.7/Washington Xavier Carter...44.00/LSU Chris Nelloms...44.2/Ohio State How about 110 hurdlers Allan Johnson and Renaldo Nehemiah? Both split a sub 45.00. While they didn't split a sub 45.00 I hate to ignore... Marcus Brunson..Arizona State Andre Morris...Iowa James Trapp..Clemson Kevin Braunskill...NC St Kenny Brokenburr..St Augustine Joel Andrews...USC Dennis Schultz...Oklahoma State Trey Harts...Baylor Kirk Baptiste...Houston Calvin Smith...Alabama ....all sprinters on 4x4 teams. Long jumper James Lofton out of Stanford ...45.2r |

X-King there is Regis in Brutal's list with 43.9. As I know Mark Richardson was 400m specialist? His PB of 200m was 20.6x |

I was pointing out that Richardson had 43.5 not Regis. And the 43.9 would now be there becasue Brutal edited it like he said he would |
