As far as running backs go his 10.01 is the second fastest 100m ever ran by a back. It's...

Trindon Holliday...10.00
Jeff Demps...10.01
Bob Hayes...10.06 ...running back at FAMU
Curtis Dickey...10.10
Houston McTear...10.13 While at Baker HS he averaged 13 yards a carry. Florida was recruiting him but he couldn't make the grades.
Sultan McCullough...10.17
Jamaal Charles....10.18
Michael Bennett...10.18
Herschel Walker...10.23

Old 100 yarder

Andrew Hopkins..9.2
Laverne Smith...9.3

Sultan M had alot left in the tank.
He ran all over us every time he played the ducks.
He was to be feared for sure.
He could have been a good trackster.

You guys remember Napoleon Kaufman? He was credited with a 4.2 40, but I never saw a 100m time for him. A lot of guys don't always translate on the field, but he had game speed. 5-9 and 180 with a 420 bench, freakish. The closest in running ability to Barry Sanders, yet still not that close.

I hope the Huskies get football back on track. They've been down and out for a while now. After Texas, I pull for them in college.

He actually won the Cal State 100m while at Lompoc HS. 10.4ish, he was also a 24 foot long jumper. A lot of these guys have great acceleration which is football but can't carry it 100m. Which really doesn't matter. It's all about a burst and being able to manuevar at a high rate of speed.

In track it's..."is he on drugs?" In football these damn injuries....sheesh! Then some dummy came up with artifical surfaces. Oh hell yes lets have some 300 pounder slamming you down on a hard surface...SHEESH!!!!!

Sorry just had to vent, hope he's ok.
