I read alot but rarely post here.
I am primarily over by the Caribbean track forum even though I much prefer the layout/format here. |

I'm all for giving lurkers a warm invite to post and speak their minds. However my observation is that some (many?) insiders in the sport lurk on these boards. They only weigh in on certain threads and when they do, it seems they don't want to say too much. By the time you reply, they're gone. I'm all for the barber shop format. |

This board is marked by one key element - PASSION There are varying degrees of knowledge, involvement, history, and competitive participation both past and present But those that post all share one thing in common and that is their passion for the sport !! Which is why it's often like a barbershop in here LOL The only thing you have to bring to the table is your passion and some thick skin Cause just as in a barbershop the discussion can get heated up in here !!!! ROTFLMAO But not because of hate or dislike, but because of the intensity of belief in opinions - that Passion If you can log in and understand that that really isn't YOU up under that bus, this is a fun place to be And I say fun first, because the diversity that is brought to the table, along with the passion, ensures that knowledge is dropped daily - just like at the barbershop Having said that, there are things discussed here, and information dropped that one can ONLY find here - and that's why there are lurkers And some aren't ever going to post, and that is fine Lots of folk go to political conventions and karaoke nights and never take the mike All I will say is that those that have something to contribute shouldn't do so out of fear of "being ripped a new one" LOL It don't hurt, trust me, cause I don had some of everybody try and take a chunk outta my @ss .
