Thanks bro. Pam was her name. Wyz, Runman, Cecile and Jacob were there before me. We were the fab 5. I'm glad you finally started talking present day sprinters! LOL took a while to get you to do that! I owe you an apology for how certain things went down over there. You know what I am talking about. It was fun while it lasted, though..... Wish IP were still around. People forget that it went down because the site that hosted the board went shut down, the same site that hosted the original Sprintzone. There seems to be a myth that Sub10 went down because it was a cesspool. Not true. We could have recreated it here on this "Invision Power Board" just like the Sprintzone creator did. I've thought about it a few times. Not sure if it would get support. Based on the support I got for the Truth this season, I doubt it would. But it would be cool to do for the 10 year aniversary of the peak of Sub10 (Sydney Games). Either way, it was a great ride, bro. Thanks.

Ah IP,

The newbies would not know who IP the great degbater was...nor our Canadian intellectual named Wyz. Then therE was the dreaded Carlos, aka Urinal Mint.

BTW, Brutal, we Jammies always had fellow track fans to talk to...the beauty of being from a small pace with a shared passion!!!!

Yeah, that's one my favorite track myths - the Feds took down Sub10. laugh.gif

What I recall from sub10 in 2000:
- Canadian posters still hoping to see a last hurrah from Bailey and Surin.
- Hottest topic among caribbean fans was yes/no to Merlene Ottey. Times have changed.
- MJ/Mo 200 flop fiasco.
- Kenteris shock and awe. Americans didn't get live coverage, no youtube either.

First sub10 riot I recall was during the Olympic Trials. IP made a wisecrack about Butch Reynolds being old and washed up when he had to scratch from the 400. And if I recall right, Prime popped a vein after that one, LOL. Then IP kept insisting "Daryl" was somebody Smoke created as a figment of his imagination. laugh.gif I enjoyed the Texas-OU banter with him being the big Sooner fan. Then he all but vanished after USC throttled OU at the Orange Bowl.

Maybe Smoke will come back here when UCLA wins a game. laugh.gif

IP was my boy but he would always find ways to unintentionally push my buttons. LOL We argued all the dang time....over everything!

Wyz was awesome. He sent me some CD roms of the 2003 WC's. That was cool.

Pam and I were friends. We'd send each other stuff all the time. We liked the same type of music so whatever came out here first, I'd try and hook her up. I got Craig David's CD from her like 8 months before it came out in the US.

Carlos....what an enigma. We have a lot of characters online now, but no one like him. Reddy used to remind me of him a little, but 'los was an original.

I'd give a lot to have those folks back. Fun times!

IMN and Infama..... both of you have always been class acts.

if it shows my longevity in terms of my time around those boards(which my posts would not reflect) i met wyz through sub10 as well and actually sponsored him to be on the Athletics Canada board

i joined in sub10 round when the donovan bailey board started to get pretty slim but felt so out of my league i never joined in the conversations, so i just read and admired the knowledge... still do

I remember seeing you around for a while. DB.com does flex your longevity! DB.com was jumpin' for a minute, especially when DB was in the mix!I used to go there, Ato's and HSI.net until finding Jacob's board. Before he left, sub10 was more than just a message board, it was a full website that had a chatroom.

Does anyone remember mark23? LOL

You often and openly stated your real name and where you lived on the message boards. Anyone can take that info and go to switchboard.com or any other online white pages and find your phone number. And unless you name is very generic like "John Smith" it's easy to narrow it down.

Not sure why they couldn't get IP addresses, but who knows where some one is exactly posting from and what firewalls they might be behind. They figured you were the board admin and might have quick access to the info.

As far as that FBI agent who called you, my guess is could've been Nowitzky.

I don't recall giving out my last name at sub10. I might have.

I never had control of the eject button. If I had of things would have gone differently. The weirdos would have been banned. Oh well, it was still a cool trip.

It was a young guy who was very polite who called. It wasn't Nowitzky I'd remember that.
