The end of the steak ?

Injuries is robbing Jamaica ability to put the fastest sprinter in this meet. That is part of athletics so no excuse. Still would like to see the best out there performing.

thunda_monk - July 7, 2011 04:09 PM (GMT)
Todd looks golden

Jamstar 23 - July 7, 2011 04:29 PM (GMT)
And people on here talking about Jamaica will return to 2-3 sprint medals when bolt goes.

The recent depth and quality of Jamaican sprinting is here to stay, when your # 3 youth sprinter can beat the world you dont just fade away.

TrackLover - July 7, 2011 05:59 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't necessarily say that Todd is our number 3 because he has such tremendos upside that he could in the end be more successful than Skeen and Murphy. Such is the nature of our young talent.

Todd wins GOLD
No Murphy or Skeen and Jamaica still wins gold.
Can't wait for next year. Just praying that Todd Murphy Skeen and Forte stay healthy. Should challenge the 4x100m WJR

A small country as some say, now hold the world youth Olympics, world junior, world youth, senior world championship and Olympics. To think Todd was the number three rated junior sprinter in Jamaica before the injury woes of the top two. What to say but congrats.

Congrats to C. Williams finishing 3rd in girls 100 meters... She should a win though.

Interesting....

Skeen was not fit enough to run in the 100, and withdrew, but he was fit enough to run the 200, and he won his heat:

Looking at the year list I noticed this:

10.53 -1.2 Andre Azonwanna CAN 29/11/1995 1 U17 Sudbury 03/06/2011

That's a fast time for a fifteen year old into a headwind....
