Doctor Brandon Lee rather liked his reformed office. Brandon had covered the walls with newspaper dipped in dark red paint, giving them a textured look, as if painted with blood. The curtains were formed of black velvet for a slightly softer look, and the walls were decorated with calming pictures of bright flora. The fluorescent light panels had been replaced with blue sky and cloud panels, where the patients could look up in image the sky. It looked like a representation of Hell, in other words, the skies of heaven above. All in all, it was a satisfying décor that matched his style--and the sanity of his patients.

He sat at his desk in a black suit, looking for all intensive purposes like Satan incarnate as he wrote his own notes on his patient's file, a riding crop on his desk to remind all visitors who, exactly, was in charge. The answer, of course, was him. He was in charge, and he would remain in charge, no doubt about that.

His next patient was Jadyn Masterson, who had anorexia--and who had also tried to escape once. Pathetic. He was barely ninety-six pounds at his last weighing, making Brandon wonder how someone with a fifteen BMI was even alive. Alas, this would have to change, and change it would. His patient was currently in the process of being roughly delivered to him sans straight jacket; he was a teenager, after all..what harm could he do to someone such as Brandon?

A black rosary was wrapped around his hand as the door opened and his patient thrown roughly in. Brandon did not look up at his patient, barely paying him any sort of attention. He certainly had an interesting looking file, that was for certain. Brandon was already coming up with various tortures for the young boy now in front of him, all with the aim of making him 'better'. Fatter. Brandon didn't give a damn about what had happened in his past; he cared only about the future.

"ťJadyn Masterson,"ť he rumbled in his deep, deep voice, still not looking at the patient. "ťI am your new doctor, Dr. Lee. You will refer to me as such unless commanded otherwise."ť

Jadyn had heard that he had a new doctor and he didn't know if he was happy or if he was angry. Jadyn didn't know his new doctor so he couldn't really judge them right now. It was too early to tell what he thought because he didn't know them at all. One thing was for sure though, Jadyn was not willing to meet his new doctor. Meeting this new doctor could be hell for him, but he figured that it could also be a good thing. It's not like he liked his old doctor, Dr. Stevenson, anyways. But he was afraid that this doctor would be worse.

What made things even worse was that Jadyn had been put in a straight jacket even though he wasn't really a dangerous patient. Jadyn screamed and cried the whole way, on his way to his doctor's office. He hated this straight jacket and tried to wiggle and squirm his way out of it, but it was no use. Jadyn really didn't think he needed to be put in the straight jacket. He didn't see a reason to be put in the straight jacket and then them practically dragging him forcefully.

Then once they got to his new doctor's office, they threw him roughly into the room. He looked around the room and the room made him very uncomfortable. The room intimidated him, it scared him. He looked at his new doctor and his new doctor intimidated him as well. Jadyn had a feeling that these two wouldn't get along very well. Jadyn was sure that he would hate this man. Jadyn really hated the straight jacket. He sat down on the couch and almost immediately tried to wiggle his way out of it. So, that's what the man's name was. The man's name was Dr. Lee?

When Jadyn did not answer, Brandon finally looked up, frowning as he realized that his orders had not been followed. He had asked for the patient to come in sans the straight jacket, or without it. He really had to teach the guards a lesson, apparently. But not now, later.

Pressing a button on his desk, a guard came in, looking a bit flustered, as if prepared for a fight. He was probably a bit surprised to find Brandon sitting calmly at the desk.

"Get the straight jacket off," he ordered the guard calmly in his overly deep voice. "And next time learn how to follow instructions."

Brandon waited for the straight jacket to be taken off and the guard to leave before he leveled his gaze at the patient sitting on the couch. The couch was across the room, but that must be where he was used to sitting. Well, no more. Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that Brandon sometimes liked to take naps in his office, he would have gotten rid of the couch altogether. The couch was a privilege, not a right, and patients had to earn it.

"You," he rumbled at the patient. "Get up and sit in a chair like a normal human being. The couch is off-limits." He laid a hand on his crop, a clear warning for the boy to do what he said, or else. He had no qualms about using it.

Jadyn was a little surprised when the guard had come back in the room and his doctor ordered the guard to get the straight jacket off of him. He felt the guard taking the straight jacket off of him. Right after, Jadyn rubbed his arms because the straight jacket was a pain. "Thank you," he said sincerely to his doctor. Jadyn was really glad to have it off of him. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe he might actually like his doctor. Maybe this doctor would be nicer even if the room was a representation of hell and he didn't like the office.

He heard his doctor say that the couch was off limits and he was confused because his old doctor let him sit on the couch, but he guessed that every doctor was different. "Sorry, I didn't know." It was only their first meeting with each other. So that meant that Jadyn didn't know anything about this man and how he treated people. Jadyn got up from the couch and sat in a chair. He preferred the couch, probably because it was more comfortable, but he could sit in a chair. Jadyn looked at the man as he was trying to get comfortable. Moving and wiggling in the chair until he was slouched down into it where he found that more comfortable whether it was rude or not, he really didn't care and he hoped that the man didn't care either.

The only other chairs in his office were directly in front of his desk, and that was the way Dr. Lee liked it. He wanted to stare at the person in front of him and wait for him to speak, wait for him to drivel on about his meaningless life…and that was exactly what the doctor did. He stared at the boy in front of him with his piercing crystalline blue eyes, waiting for Jadyn to get uncomfortable enough to speak. He did this in nearly every session, forcing the patient to speak about what was on his mind the most. It was always great fun for him to see what the patient was thinking.

While he stared at Jadyn, he took his appearance in. He had been here how long, and he had gained only three pounds? Doctor Stevenson was a poor sop, and absolutely stupid. Brandon’s next order concerning this patient’s treatment would be to strap him down and stick a feeding tube down his throat until he had gained at least twenty pounds. There was no room for error when a patient was this sick, and it was ridiculous that Jadyn had even been able to attempt escape at all. Three pounds was nothing.

Having someone staring at you was an uncomfortable feeling. So when Jadyn had noticed that his doctor was staring at him, he felt completely uncomfortable. Jadyn hated it when people stared at him. He stared right on back at Dr. Lee. Jadyn really just wanted to scream out how Dr. Lee was feeling, but he didn't. Jadyn wasn't sure if he should keep staring at him or say something, so he just kept staring at the rather intimidating man. This man was really starting to freak him out. Jadyn could feel his heart pounding hard against his chest and he became really nervous.

Jadyn couldn't stand to look at man any longer and turned his head. The only thing that intimidated him more than the man, was the room. So he buried his head into his hands, hoping that the session would be over soon. "Are you going to say anything?" Jadyn asked the man, still with his head buried into his hands. Jadyn had really nothing he wanted to say to the man. He would let Dr. Lee do all the talking and Jadyn would pretend to be listening and probably become annoyed with everything the man had said. Jadyn was just waiting for him to talk.

Seven minutes, twenty-eight seconds. That was how long it had taken Brandon to get Jadyn to say something, simply by remaining quiet and watching him. He noted in his head how long it took before Jadyn looked away, how long before before he gave in completely and spoke. As usual, his tactic was working, though it worked differently on every person, of course.

"I could ask you the same," he responded in his naturally deep voice. "This is your session, after all."

It was clear that Brandon expected his patient to do the talking, not him. Jadyn could sit in silence for the rest of the session if he wished, but somehow Brandon doubted he would be willing to do that. No, he just had to wait his patient out, he knew. Some patients were harder than others, of course, but they almost all caved, eventually…and it didn't look as if it had taken very long for Jadyn to cave at all. Lee could work with this.

Now, he was not particularly excited to listen to Jadyn drivel on about how he was anorexic because his friend died. That was complete bullshit in Brandon's book, and he wasn't allowing Jadyn to use that excuse in from of him. It may require liberal use of his riding crop, of course, but he was sure that he could turn Jadyn around into someone that…well, wasn't as whiny as Dr. Stevenson had let on. And apparently he had had to sedate the child during their last session? Incompetence. Brandon could do much better.

Jadyn had lost track of time and what felt like hours of not talking had only been minutes. He was sick of this session already. "I don't know what to say." Jadyn didn't know what they could talk about. In, he didn't really want to talk about his problems. "You are the doctor which means you have control over the session." Jadyn had no control whatsoever. He hadn't had control ever since his friend died, ever since he was shot. Jadyn would leave the doctor in control of the session. All Jadyn wanted was to get out of this hospital, but he actually had to listen to his doctor for that to actually happen.

"I don't get why I'm here. Dr. Stevenson says I have a problem, but you really think I believe that? Everyone I know says I have a problem, but I don't think that I do." Jadyn had no idea what he was saying. Words were just slipping out of his mouth. Jadyn was ready for this session to be over already. He hated seeing doctors and therapists. They had no idea what he was really going through. Jadyn had collapsed three times, he knew that he needed help, but he didn't want it.

"Do I?" he asked dryly, continued to watch Jadyn closely. So this was how Jadyn's previous doctor had done things…told him how things would be, pressed him for information, tried to drill into his head to see what was wrong with him. What an imbecile.

Jadyn was an imbecile, too, for not thinking he had a problem. Then again, Brandon supposed that no one had told him he had a problem until it was far, far too late to change anything. And now the patient was resisting change, resisting the fact that he was dying. For to admit that he had a problem would be to admit his own weakness, the oncoming of his own demise. Did no one understand that? Did no one understand how obvious it was that Jadyn couldn't simply be told he had a problem? It would be easier to accept once he was out of danger, once he wouldn't collapse at every shock.

"I see," he commented, continuing to stare flatly at the boy before him. Three pounds in three months…despicable. He had half a mind to change his nurse to someone more competent…someone who would get the job done right.

"You're here to gain twenty pounds and spend an extra month in therapy. You won't leave until that is done."

Of course, he suspected that no one had told Jadyn how much he had to gain, or what he had to do to get out of here. Then again, maybe they thought he didn't need to know, or it would be easier if he didn't know. Brandon thought otherwise.

Jadyn nodded. He believed that the doctor had all of the control and he had none. The doctor was like the king and he was only the subject.

He was shocked to hear that he had to gain twenty pounds and he had to spend an extra month in therapy. This man had got to be kidding, right? Jadyn thought that gaining twenty pounds was impossible. He didn’t think he would be able to pull it off because he really couldn’t stop himself from going back to his eating patterns that got him in this position in the first place. Were they trying to fatten him up? He already thought he was fat and adding twenty pounds onto him would make him look fatter. Jadyn didn’t realize that he was putting his life at risk even if he didn’t collapse three times already. “What do you mean spend an extra month in therapy?” It seemed like they were trying to put him through even more torture than he was going through. “Why would I have to spend an extra month in therapy?” Hearing this was making Jadyn mad, but he wasn’t really showing his angry side. It was already confirmed that Jadyn didn’t like his new doctor, Dr. Lee.

Jadyn was right, in a sense--Dr. Lee did have all the control over the session. He controlled when Jadyn spoke by his own actions--namely, if he didn't speak, Jadyn did. It was a wonderful little mechanism.

"Because we're not a normal hospital," he answered evenly, coolly. "This is a psychiatric hospital, and we aim to fix the mind. That can only happen once we fix the body, however. Continue to resist and you won't like the consequences…and know that the longer you resist, the longer you will be here. I've told you what you need to do to get out. Do it or be miserable here forever."

He was rather short when it came to patients like these; he had already sent one off with minimal clothes, food and water to stop his whining. Jadyn could be next, if he didn't play his cards carefully. Dr. Lee had no problem strapping Jadyn down to the bed, and that was exactly what he planned to do. Minimal exercise, lots of feeding through a tube…and the more Jadyn resisted, the more Lee would up his dosage. He could very easily go from a moderate to low amount of food to a three thousand calorie diet, should he resist. Lee would make it happen.

"Actually," he mused aloud, not giving Jadyn time to reply, "You don't have a choice. You will eat what I say, when I say, or you will face the consequences…of more food, involuntarily. You'll soon see that it's far better not to cross me."

Jadyn knew that South Pacific Private was not a normal hospital and he really didn’t like that. A normal hospital would keep him until he’s stable enough to go home. He had spent his nineteenth birthday here and it was the worst birthday he ever had. He just looked at the man as the man spoke. Jadyn definitely did not want to stay here longer, but he couldn’t help but to resist. He didn’t want to eat and if these people were going to try and get him to eat, he was going to try and resist and try and push them away. Jadyn just had a feeling that he would be there for a very long time.

He listened to what the man had to say. What he heard from the man just shocked him. “So if I don’t eat when you say that I have to, then you’ll give me more food? What if I don’t eat that food? And what if that food kills me?” Jadyn asked. He didn’t mean if he was allergic to it. He just meant that what if his stomach couldn’t handle that amount? What would happen then? Jadyn probably figured that his stomach had shrunk because of his patterns.

The doctor smirked slightly at the oh-so-predictable questions. The patient thought that he had found a loophole, but no, he had not. There were no loopholes with this doctor, and there never would be.

”Have you ever been grounded?” he asked simply. ”It’s sort of like that. I may not be able to punish you as badly as you need to be punished, but I can stretch it over time. Similarly, you may only be able to eat so much food at a time…but the more you don’t do as I say, the longer you will have to eat the increased amounts. Take it from me, it’s not a very pleasant experience, being so full you can’t walk. Of course…you wouldn’t know that, would you?”

Brandon did not usually talk so much, but today…well, today he just felt like taunting someone. So why not taunt his patient, the one he held complete power over? The sooner Jadyn learned that and did as he was told, the better.

”With that warning fresh in your mind,” he continued, ”you will have one chance and one chance only to avoid your fate. I have already instructed your nurse to prepare a feeding tube, and you will be strapped down to your bed, unable to even leave it at all until you have gained sufficient weight. You have until midnight to eat a full meal. The first meal you skip or do not eat enough of or try to purge, your fate will be sealed. Do you understand me?”

“So, I’m so full that I can’t walk then that would just make my stomach explode and you would be hosing my guts off the walls. Is that what you really want?” Jadyn was just trying to push this doctor’s buttons and make the doctor give in to him. “And what do you mean I’ll have to eat increased amounts? If I don’t do as you say, which would probably mean not eating the food then how will and can I eat increased amounts?” Jadyn was really trying to find a loophole. He was starting to hate this doctor more than Stevenson. Maybe he could talk to Stevenson and get him a new doctor. It seemed as if this new man had come out of the depths of hell to torture and make Jadyn’s life miserable.

“No. I don’t understand you,” Jadyn said calmly. Jadyn let out a meow; his Tourette’s were starting to act up right now. “How could I have until midnight when I’m not even hungry?” He wanted to scream at this man and get his own way, but he knew that he wouldn’t. “How would you know if I purged or tried to purge?” His nurse was female and all so he didn’t think anyone would know if he tried to purge. “I am not going through the feeding tube again. I’ve already had it three times.” Jadyn absolutely hated the feeding tube and he absolutely hated his doctor.

It truly was gruesome, what the boy in front of him was describing. Brandon decided to stay silent and allow the boy to panic. Panic, whine…whichever it was. Brandon stared at the boy in front of him, waiting until he was finished. He had had the feeding tube three times already, and yet had only gained three pounds. So either they had taken it off too early or he had succeeded, under the watchful eyes of the nurses, of losing whatever weight he had gained from the feedings. Incompetence.

"It's very, very hard to do anything when you're strapped down to your bed for a month, a catheter in your penis, being force-fed through a tube. And I warn you, if you do not do exactly as I say, that will be your punishment," he spoke calmly, easily.

He did not like Jadyn, who apparently thought he had some control over the situation still. By not rising to the bait, he was keeping control of the situation. He understood that Jadyn would have concerns, of course, and he was entitled to. Nay, he was not. He had lost all entitlement when he stepped through that door and into this office.
