Important Information
Welcome&&Announcements Other Information
Okay. So the pups are about a month old now. They've been completely weaned, and can venture a bit out of the den for supervised play. The ages needed to be sped up because we can't roleplay in summer forever. No, about next week or the week after, fall will start on SotW.

For some reason, we're inactive. Maybe it's cause of school and whatnot, but let us know if you'll be less active then before. Don't forget the rule: If you're not going to be active, please don't join SotW! thanks!
Season
Summer

Other
The weather is warm, and frequent breezes bring relief to the animals of Ahlai. The water is cool despite the warm air. Expect showers and storms during the weeks, though most days are sunny and the sky is clear. Prey is plentiful and the animals are thriving.

Breeding: No
Birthing: Yes

Plot
Each day, more and more wolves discover the lands of Ahlai. Each wolf has a unique personality and a different way of thinking. And with these different ways, you can expect wolves with unstable minds, on the verge of exploding like a volcano.

One of these wolves has left a carcass on the Alpine Packlands. It is not the carcass of a deer, or a rabbit, but of a human pup. With two litters of pups in the pack, this can only mean trouble.

Meanwhile, the Moonlit River Pack has a young female training for a very special rank within the pack. Once her training is complete, this pack will have a big advantage over the other. The Moonlit River Pack will have an assasin in their paws.

For now, there is peace. But with the wolves of Ahlai, how long can it last?

This is where you should post your application. Please follow the Application provided, or use your own, but it needs to be more thorough. Your application will be moved into the Pack forums, and if your wolf is a loner your application will be moved into the Loner section.

Going away? Please let us know when you're leaving and what threads you are in. None of us want to roleplay with a wolf that isn't there.

Brightfire Valley
Brightfire Valley is a dip between two large hills at the northern end of the Alpine Pack territory. The grass is soft in the spring and summer, and the openness in the winter is a great place to play. The grass is short here, and this little dip is a great place to stargaze. Tor's Forest is close by, and deer sometimes come through this area to graze. Caribou and elk can often be found here during the winter.

**Loners may howl here for acceptance.

Tor's Forest
Tor's forest is a large expanse of wood, starting at the northern end of Moonlit Valley to Wolf Rock in the east. The forest is a great place to hunt because it is home to a wide variety of prey. This part of the forest is beautiful, because at night, the moonlight enters through cracks in the canopy, making the forest floor glow. It is a secluded place, and a great place for privacy. It is a good place to bring pups to learn to hunt because it is a safe place.

Village Ruins
This place is the remains of the human village. The humans left a few things behind, and it is a great place to explore. It is a large clearing with a small creek running through it. It is usually a safe place, but sometimes bears pass through here. It is a good meeting place for wolves.

Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake is a source of water for the wolves in the area. It is so large, that the Alpine wolves only own half of it, and it is accessible from the Unclaimed area. But be warned, sneaking into the packlands from the water is not advised. The lake is large and the water depth varies in places. A thin forest surrounds the Lake. It freezes in the winter, but is dangerous to walk on because the ice is weak in some places. A wolf could easily fall through and drown in the frigid water.

Sunset Gorge
Sunset Gorge is a fair-sized gorge running from the mountains threw the Alpine Packlands to where it ends. It spans about seventy feet wide and about fifty feet deep. A small stream runs through the middle of it fed by the mountains, and gives a wonderful view of the sunset. There is a rock and sand path on either side of the stream.

Heaven's Light Mountains
This is the only mountain range in the Land of Ahlai. The mountains are small, and forests cover them. At the bottom, the trees are so clumped together that only one wolf can fit through an opening at a time. Prey animals live on the mountains, so it is a good place to hunt. There are many clearings in the woods, and on a ledge of the mountain is a great place to look down upon Ahlai. This place is where most wolves enter Ahlai.

Deep Moor
The Moor is a large area of grassy land with rolling hills. Rabbit holes dot the area, and there are almost no trees or bushes. The grass is short, making it easy to spot a wolf from a distance. It tends to rain a lot here, so a thin mist always lingers. In the summer, it also tends to get very muggy, and rain is even more frequent.

Shadow Wood
Shadow Forest is the unowned part of Tor's Forest. The forest is so dense that sunlight barely reaches the ground. It is just light enough to see a few feet ahead of you. A few clearings located inside the wood let in an immense amount of light. The dangerous thing about this wood is that you never know who or what could be lurking in the darkness.

Aurora Bay
Aurora Bay is a very secluded area. A forest lines the beach, and at one end, jagged rocks prevent wolves from entering the ocean. In the late fall and winter, seals and orcas come here. It is a great place to take young wolves to play. It isn't often sunny here, and when it is, you can see Shangri-La Island in the distance.

Infinite Expanse
Buffalo travel through here in the summer, making it a prime place for group hunts in the warmer months. The grass is fairly tall, making the place great for hiding. A very small trickle of water runs through the area, but it goes unnoticed unless you know where to find it. You can see the mountains in the distance from here, and the Light Forest borders it.

Birch Tree Cliff
Birch Tree Cliff was given its name because of the many birch trees located on the cliff. It overlooks the Moonlit River Packlands. The cliff is jagged, and the rock is unstable in some places. This area is beautiful but deadly. One falter could send you plummeting to the earth, dead.

The Light Forest
The Light Forest is a thin forest, that has less trees and brush than most others. The light penetrates the canopy easily here, making camouflage nearly impossible. The pack’s denning area is near here, and rabbit is plentiful. There is small stream that runs through the forest. It borders the Infinite Expanse.

The Great Cave
This where the young wolves of the pack can hunt bats for fun, or to test there agility and coordination. The groups of bats that nest in this cave usually come out to hunt at dusk. The best time to hunt them is right when the sun is tipping under the horizon. The bats fly out in a frenzy near the ground, where young wolves can just jump and snatch them one by one. The cave also makes a romantic place to watch sunsets and sunrises.

Forbidden Swamp
The Forbidden Swamp is where water drains from some of the rivers when it rains. The water is only three to five feet deep, but it is so muddy that swimming is nearly impossible. You could get stuck for days in this place until some of the water drains out. It has an eerie aura about it, and the trees that line the swamp are huge.

Death's Mist Clearing
Death's Mist Clearing is a spooky place in the Light Forest. It is the only thick part of the forest and the clearing is always misty. All the trees are dead, and dead leaves litter the area. It's a strange place, and most wolves avoid the area completely.
