"Nothing like a good swim!" Celestia said to herself. Right now she was in the pool room which was located next door to the gym...sort of. The locker rooms were in the middle. The tile floor was still wet from after swim practice, and Celestia was always the last one to leave the pool side. Still in her orange full swim suit that all the girls were required to have, Celestia decided to sit on the edge of the pool; feet dangling in the water. She didn't have any imediate classes after, so she really didn't see a problem lingering. She used her fingers to help finish drying her damp red hair despite the fact that blow dryers were available for use in the locker room.

Jasper should have known really. He especially should have known when he began to smell the chlorine, but he'd kept going. He had followed the Senior's directions exactly and had ended up here.

Confused, the tall young man had kept walking forward until he stood at the very edge of the pool. Looking down into the clear and highly chemicaled water, Jasper grinned to himself, raw amusment at his own expense. Although it wasn't really funny, had wasted his time, and made him late for the seminar he was supposed to be attending. He had been too trusting. The library was probably on the other side of the school.

The grin faded and he sighed. Was it even worth going now?

"Nothing like a good swim!"

Jasper looked around, startled. He hadn't noticed anyone else, he'd thought he was alone. Had she been addressing him?

Celestia heard the door squeak a little. All these years and no one fixed it yet. Well, at least it was a good way to let you know when someone was coming and going. Celestia started to run her finger through the water when she noticed a reflection other than her own. So, she did what any normal person would do...okay, normal for her. Celestia looked up and smiled. "Hey there."

Looks like it happened again. Some idiot junior or senior had given wrong directions again.

"Let me guess...you're new here."

"Uh ... yeah. Yeah I am." Jasper replied, rather taken aback by her quick and accurate assessment. He didn't believe it was that readily apparent that he was a freshman. He was taller than most everyone and didn't look that young. Maybe it was just apparent that he was lost, or maybe this sort of thing had happened before. His grin reappeared.

"So this is the library, huh?" he joked, setting his bag down and looking around. "Libraries usually smell like paper and dust, but chlorine is good too." he nodded and decided that he was too late for his study group anyway.

Jasper sat down at the edge of the pool, took off his shoes and socks, and rolled up his pant legs to dangle his feet in the water. It was nice and cool.

"No worries. You're not the first to be surfed in the wrong direction. Not boss or cherry either." Celestia had a fair idea who the culprits were that had the 'helping hand'. She was a senior after all, and knew most of the faces, and names that matched them. At least he appeared to still be in good spirits though; what with the joke and all.

"Yeah, every now and then you can find something to read floating in a glass bottle." Celestia replied in the same joking tone that he had. She then reached into the pool with her hand, and lightly, playfully, and happily splashed him. "Welcome to Sky High, by the way. I'm Celestia, and who might you be?"

"Thanks. M'name's Jasper Miles Tattersall." came the reply. Jasper always gave his full name when introducing himself. "Nice to meet you." he told Celestia, because it was nice enough, he supposed. "Interesting name, Celestia." he remarked. He found her interesting from the get go. A name like Celestia, pertaining to stars and the heavens, and therefore the sky, but with an obvious affinity for the water since she was still here at the pool after everyone else had left, and yet appearance-wise she reminded him of flame, with her fiery red hair and bright orange swimwear. Jasper grinned. He was obviously over-thinking things. He tended to do that. "I didn't even know they had a pool here."

Interesting. Full name...or was it? Some people gave their children two names to function as one first name. One such example would be the ever popular name Mary Anne, from back when. Well, no point in dwelling on it. A name is a name. To most anyhow. Celestia though, had this tendency to make up her own names for people or just give them her own personal nickname.

Not all the names she gave out were unique. Sometimes they were based on personality and other times on first meets. The name she had swirling in her mind was more for first meets.

"Nice to meet you too Slick." Celestia said with a little smirk. Of course she'd find out later if he meant if it was nice to meet her. Not that she exactly cared all too much. Celestia just always did her own thing. Though personally she was still wondering what to make of Jasper. Not because of how he looked, but because he was new. If she thought too long on it Celestia would end up with a headache.

He commented on her name. Odd occurence. Not many people did. In her family or culture, or whatever it was common enough. Celestia smiled. "Thanks. According to my parents it was a choice from the names; Celeste, Cali, Cala, and Callisto. Unlike most I'm happy with my name. Fits one of my hobbies...when I can't surf that is." Celestia winked. She did like to stargaze; even planet gaze. Her favorite planet was Venus after Aphrodite, and her favorite constelation had a sad love story behind it.

"Well, ya do now."

Celestia stood and walked over to one of the boards they used in competitions, and jumped off of it, and back into the pool. The deep waters. For fun, Celestia almost decided to just stay under the water for a long time to see what Jasper would do. If he would jump in or try and go find someone. If he did the latter they'd be in trouble. So, she changed her mind, and surfaced; getting Jasper a little wet when she flipped her hair back, and out of her face.

"Personally Slick, I'd prefer an ocean."
