Hi and welcome to the forums. There is a shop that parallel-imports Kuwahara bikes from Thailand but they are not cheap. Plus, the Kuwahara bikes nowadays are not like what they used to be back in the day.

You might want to try Ban Hin Chan in North Bridge Road or L&T in Tampines. They may have some bikes you could get for your son. You might also like to try Monotine for their complete range of SE Racing bikes

Welcome once again and I am glad that your son is taking up BMX.

Cheers!

Yes indeed, at that gathering. You will learn lots at that gathering and it is attended by my BMX brethren and I have learnt lots of things from them. Life, after all, is a cosntant learning process.

The gathering is very informal and you will be transported back in time with many stories, bikes and experiences from back in the day. The knowledge among the band of BMX brothers is encyclopedic...a must come for the BMX enthusiast

Hope to see you there!

Mongoose was known back in the day for their almost indestructable frames. When Scot Breithaupt started SE Racing, all his racers used to race on Mongoose frames.

However, I am not privy to the frames and bikes that Mongoose make nowadays. Mongoose, GT, Schwinn are all part of the giant Dorel Group. But if you are happy with it, then I suppose your questions have all been answered

Enjoy the bike!
