Connor Patrick had spent his childhood dreaming about his future, fighting with his brother and rolling his eyes at his sister, fishing in the woods behind his house, riding bikes through the countryside, and learning what it meant to be a Patrick. And oh, yes, wanting his own damned room. His parents had finally been able to grant that final wish when he was a senior in high school, giving him, oh, eight months of solitary bliss before he was off to college to share a room with four other snoring men.
The irony was not lost on Connor. Oh well, it could be worse. He and seven of his fellow Veronaville freshies had decided to get a house together rather than live in the dorms. Thanks to the five scholarship overachievers in the bunch, Connor foremost among them, they were able to afford quite a nice place. The fact that one of his new roommates was his ex-girlfriend Corinna was something he could deal with. They were carefully polite around each other, like strangers. He supposed that would change the first time they accidentally saw each other in their underwear, or had to go grocery shopping together. He still quite liked Corinna and hoped she felt the same about him. And it was for the best, really. Without a girlfriend he was a free man, free to sample everything college provided including holy mother of god who was that? When she walked by the sunlight seemed to stream around her, leaving all else in darkness. Long blonde hair, swaying hips, and a designer dress. Oh, yeah. He was going to like college. Connor takes after his mum in looks, I see. I think Connor is going to enjoy collage very much... I smell another crush blooming in the breeze.

It's been a while since I last commented. So much happened at the end of Children! Loving it, as always. I really like the way you ended it, as well. And I'm really excited to see what kind of stuff Connor gets up to in college... His notions about money and power are still a bit upsetting, but I guess more for the way he talks about them and the reactions of the people he talks to...
