ELEVEN That night she had a dream. She was in her garden, walking on white fluffy ground. It looked like a light layer of snow covered everything, but it was warm to the touch. She had an elegant black robe on that felt soft against her skin. A steaming hot tub was in the middle of the garden. There were unlit candles and roses on the sides, and somebody was sitting in it with their back turned to her. One look at the blonde hair told her who it was. Dan turned around to look at her. He smiled. “Finally. I've been waiting a while,” he said, eyes sparkling. Nicole laughed. She felt carefree and bubbly. The black robe slid off her shoulders, down her back and onto the ground, making no sound. Everything was pleasantly quiet. A foot in front of the other at a time, Nicole started towards the hot tub. It seemed more like the hot tub was coming to her than the other way around. Dan stood up to help her into the hot tub. Nicole placed a hand in his, little shivers going up her arm from his touch, and gracefully got in. The water didn't feel like water. It was warm and fluffy and it didn't feel wet at all. Dan looked at her with care and affection radiating from his eyes. Small, familiar butterflies erupted in Nicole's stomach. She smiled. ![]() “You look beautiful, Nicole,” Dan whispered. Gently he stroked her cheek with his hand. Nicole blushed. “I love you,” she said and she really meant it. She could feel it in her heart that she really meant it this time. “I love you, Dan. Please don't ever leave me.” “I won't.” And then they kissed. ![]() >> Next Chapter -------------------- |
