Canes' Capt. Rod Brind'amore is out for the season after tearing his ACL in his left knee in the 1st minute of last night's game against Pittsburgh. It was bad enough the Canes were already short handed due to illness and injuries now they lose their Capt for the season.

Staal definitely will have to step up now as he wears the "A" on his sweater along with Glen Wesley.

Makes you wonder if the Canes are going to go with what they got or Rutherford is going to sign someone. It seems Peter Forsberg is available.

What a lost for this team, Rod Brind'amore is a leader on and off the ice, now it is time for the Eriks to step up and be the leaders of this team.
