Title: Guardian Angels

Aja - February 19, 2006 02:49 PM (GMT)
Okay, I'll be the first to admit I'm really not religious. I consider myself more of a spiritual person. The past couple of years have been hard for me, but with my brother and his family, and knowing that there will be an end to it, and the occassional talking to God, I've been getting though it. My mom, who died a hear and a half ago, is who I consider my guardian angel. When things get a little tough, she sends me signs letting me know she there and watching. Yesterday was a particular tough one. After talking to my brother, I was kinda out of it. But after feeding my dogs and walking back into the kitchen, I stepped on something. It turned out to be some uneaten dog snacks. Turning around to leave the kitchen, I looked down and there was penny there. I know for a fact there wasn't anything on the floor there before. And I had taken all the loose coins into my bedroom. Someone at work had told me if you notice anything with one's all of a sudden, each one represents an angel. Well, a penny is one cent, and I sometimes notice pennies on the floor. Also, from watching John Edward's "Crossing Over", he said that feathers, particularly white ones, also mean your loved ones are watching. There are times when I'm walking my dogs, and I find some feathers in the yard. I don't talk about this with my brother. As we were both born and raised Catholics, for whatever reason, he isn't big on the Church and all. And when I mention stuff like the pennies and feathers, he kind of just shakes his head. That's fine with me, he's got to do what he feels is right for him. So, I feel that I can talk about this here and not get a "meh" out of anyone.

Thanks for letting me have my little say.

I had a thread about guardian angels somewhere. I truly believe in them. For almost a whole year, or probably more, I have been sick last year. Then after a while, during the early mornings one time, I woke up not being sleepy at all. Then I turn to my side to turn around onto my belly, I see this little girl with white clothes and black long hair just sitting there looking at the bottom of the foot of my bed. That seriously startled the hell out of me!
Right when I was about to stop moving to see who it was, she just looks at me and my heart felt so numb. I stopped moving and pretended to be asleep with my eyes pretending to be shut for a few seconds and she just looks where she was looking again. Right after that I fell back asleep. When I woke, I noticed that I wasnt sick at all and felt great. Better than I have been for a few years.

A few weeks/months have passed and still felt great. Then one night, I was about to go to bed because I was very tired. When I was about to plop down on my bed, I turned around and plopped to my back, I see at the door the same little girl staring straight at my eyes and she just walks away. My heart was pounding from the fear and the memories of the haunting past I had with her a while back. Right then I went into my blanket and fell right asleep. Next day my whole body was cold and hot at the same time, I kept throwing up, felt like crap and everything.

I think she is some kind of health angel because my dad saw her when he nearly died at the hospital. Also one time before my sister got hospitalized for food poisoning, she showed up at the bathroom and showed up that night at the same spot. Then Jo got better right away. :/

I believe in guardian angels. I have never had any experiences with them that I know of, but I still believe.

I have a facination with angels, I love pictures of them and one of the biggest needlepoint projects I ever finished was of an angel in purple. I love it.

I jsut recently found out my sister-in-law loves angels. I have 2 crossed stitched angels that I made, if she wants one, she can have it. And it's been awhile since I pulled out my stained glass, but I have a few patterns for angels. I have some ideas for Christmas time. ^-^

Wow, stained glass patterns. I bet they are beautiful! I would love to try those in quilting.

Well, mine are very simple, like this -

I'm not ready to do the more elaborate ones.

Well, they're still hosted by sites that pay for their bandwidth. :/

Those angels are cute though. ^_^

Has anyone ever seen Ghost with Jim Cunningham? I mean with Patrick Swayze? That movie was really good but I doubt thats how guardian angels work.

Aja - February 22, 2006 02:34 AM (GMT)
Okay.

I loved Ghost! But I think of it more of a ghost story, of a ghost who really loved his wife, then guardian angel. But then again, why couldn't they be? It's all a mystery. :)

You could have saved them to your computer and then put them in your ImageShack like youre doing with your sig and it would be ok unless they have the copyright sign on them.

I don't know if guardian angels exist and if they do if I have one. If I do indeed have one that angel has been asleep on the job most all my life.

Ceielo - March 13, 2006 11:51 AM (GMT)
I dont believe that they follow us everywhere. That little girl only showed up for me like 5 times. Scared the hell out of me most times. I think thats why she doesnt show anymore, though I get really sick and get healthed really hard from time to time.

Dragon Darkness - March 13, 2006 11:59 AM (GMT)
I haven't been sick in awhile and have just been dealing with the knee injury and surgery recovery. The pain is why I am still awake right now. I can't fall asleep until I have absolutely no energy left.

Kittyhawk - March 13, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
Thats because you can't be as active as you are used to being so you don't wear your body out. As much.

I think you have a guardian angel, however I believe that the angel cannot save you from the consequenses of your decisions. So if your injury is because of a decision you made then you just have to deal with it. However I do believe that the angel can and will intervene to make sure things do not get so tough that you cannot deal with it. So when things are really bad just ask for help and I believe you will get it, just not the way you think it will. :D

Dragon Darkness - March 14, 2006 12:15 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't really consider my injury as a result of a decision I made. I just turned wrong while my weight was shifted and my knee dislocated and had to have surgery as a result.

I found another feather in the yard the other day. Not a white one, but I'll still take it as a sign I'm being watched over. I need that right now, it helps a little.

Aja - February 7, 2007 02:02 AM (GMT)
Found another penny where there normally shouldn't be one, and I needed to see that. When I get home, I take everything out of my pockets and put what's in them on the dresser. When I sit on my bed, I get under the covers for comfort, and take off my pants because them get twisted in the sheets. Well, the other night, while on the bed, I felt a little cold metal thing, and when I looked, there was a penny. Having emptied my pockets and my pants were on the chair, it's not like it fell out of a pocket. I immediately thought of what I was told about angels and it made me feel good, and that someone's watching over me.

FoolyCoolyGamer - February 9, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
I feel the same way. Whenever I lose something or i'm feeling a bit down, something good always happens, and it's thanks to my guardian angel that's watching over me, protecting me.
