Back in 1973 Ro McGonegal flew it to RI to test the Scuncio V8 Vega and did a three page write up in Car Craft about the car. I spoke with him a few months ago and he thought he would do a new write up about the car. Ed

Ed,
I remember when Bob Johnson came in to the service dept. smoking a cigar and propsed putting a LT1 engine into a Vega. We talked for a hour about it with Richard Kimbal, a mechanic we nickname "Fuzzy". About two weeks later, if I remember correctly, Richard took me for a test drive on Rt44 west up the incline. That little car pulled so strong up the hill. What a blast ! Richard said, I can make it faster. And he did. |
