“Did you tell Harmonith we were coming?” K’din asked Akoth as he settled himself on the dragons back. Just now, the bronze nodded. He knew his rider wouldn’t want to give the human female time to escape. He’d been muttering about it while trying to figure out how to confront her. “Good,” the man replied as he patted his mount’s neck. “Shall we go to meet them, then?”
It was only through their bond, and their many years spent together, that Akoth knew K’din was nowhere near as placid as he appeared on the surface right now. The hand on his neck was tense and while the bronzerider tried to write this whole thing off as a simple visit, it wasn’t. He’d messed up big time this time after all and he knew it. The question was, would Gaial even listen to him? Would she take back her threat to change wings?
The man’s resolved stiffened at the reminder of what he would be fighting for in this meeting and he took in a deep breath before letting it out slowly so as to calm himself. After all, he’d given her a few days to calm herself, although that was due mostly to the clean-up of the disasters and problems that lesson had produced -- really, the man had held a near constant headache the past two days because of it. The hand on Akoth’s neck moved as the rider took up his proper handholds and it didn’t even take a verbal sign for both rider and dragon to take off for the opal and opalrider’s weyr.
K’din hopped down onto the ledge once the large bronze had landed, patting the dragon once more before heading off. “Stay here,” he more asked the demanded, “I don’t quite know what greeting to expect.” With one more deep breath, he continued on into the weyr, greeting Harmonith as he passed her. “Gaial!” the wingleader called out from the dragon’s quarters, not quite willing to set foot into the living room without her permission, “Gaial, we need to talk!”
Dusk, the traitor, swooped in from Between then, trilling happily as he did a few barrel rolls and simple tricks. He would get to see the human with the shinies!

Harmonith knew they were coming before they got there, their intent clear from her view point, but she didn't warn her, it would be good for them to talk things out. Gaial was hurting, and despite her love for T'sai she still held feelings for the bronze rider in her heart that needed addressed. So when K'din called out Har chuckled as she knew Gaial had frozen while picking out her clothes for the day. The small woman turned slowly and saw the man, there she was in breast band and underware and he was in her weyr without warning. Gasping loudly and turning bright red from her feet up to her roots she covered her chest with one are and her panties with the other. Her long dark hair hanging loosely about her waist and shoulders.
"K'din you wherry brained fool what are you doing in my weyr?! Get out get out!" she threw a shoe at him as she fought to find something to throw on. Seeing T'sai's shirt she flung it over her head and let it hang to her knees, giving her as much coverage as she could get without struggling into clothes. "What the shards do I need to talk to you about? You here to rub my disgrace in my face some more or would you like me to go to the weyrwoman now and ask for the transfer as you clearly don't want me around or you wouldn't have degraded me in front of T'sai and the weyrlings. You know what...How dare you even come near me! You have no right to even speak to me outside of what is required as a wingleader. I"m so sick of hurting because of some block headed fool who can't even keep his balls to himself." she threw the other shoe and felt her eyes watering.
How dare he come in here just to stomp all over her feelings again. Didn't he know her well enough by now to know she never wanted to look on him outside of wing drill again? She wasn't a fool, she knew he'd never stop sleeping around, she knew T'sai would love her and she could love him, and she knew that no matter the love she had for the tall man that he would never understand it. "Just leave K'din...please just leave...I can't take it...okay....I know I'm the fool who thought about love...I slept with you it's done I get it...if you just leave me the shards alone I'll even stay in your wing for now....but don't come in her to trample over a heart that already bled for you." she said and turned away picking up some clothes and going to her chest to take out riding boots. No more pretty dresses today she wanted to go for a long ride on Har and get away from the stupidity that was her life when she was around K'din.
"Har love I'll be out in a second and we'll go for a fly...can you see the wingleader out and be nice?" she asked softly to her dragon who crooned pitiably. "Thank you for your visit Wingleader I'm sorry I allowed my emotions to get the better of me during a duty that should have been above that. If you need to remove me from weyrling training I will understand. If you'll excuse me I need to bathe and attend to my dragon, safe flying to you." she said sadly and walked toward her bathing chambers, head held high as she kept her tears in check like a brave kid. Her long hair bunched up under the shirt in her haste to cover herself.

In all fairness, the man had planned on remaining in Harmonith’s quarters until Gaial invited him -- or at least showed her face -- but the moment Dusk flew by, sending images of jewelry the bronze rider’s way, he instinctively reached out for the creature, rushing into the living room when the crafty thing escaped his grasp.
It was the gasp that drew his attention from the wheeling blue, pulling his gaze to the side where Gaial stood in only her most basic undergarments. K’din’s eyebrow raised in appreciation although he had to send a quick question to Akoth to make sure the bronze had actually passed on their message. The bronze assured him there had been no miscommunication on his end, which at least took any blame off of K’din for getting to see such a rare sight.
Of course blame might be applied differently by different people, he realized as he was forced to duck to avoid a shoe aimed directly at his face. Dusk cackled at the act before he flew over towards the bedroom doorway, finally placing who he was looking for, completely ignoring the anger in her loud voice and then being forced to dive out of the way of another shoe. This one did hit its mark, the wingleader unable to dodge what he hadn’t seen coming, smacking against his chest and shoulder before falling to the ground at his feet.
So apparently she was still angry. If the projectiles aimed at him hadn’t made it clear enough, her volume did. Alright, he’d admit it, he’d said something he shouldn’t have. He’d come here today to admit to it and make amends. Did the woman really have to go as far to say what she was currently saying, however? A lot of what she said was true -- or, well, all of what she said was true -- but it was also twisted into something even he would be angered by. Yes, he’d slept with her, but it wasn’t like he’d treated her any differently since. She was still an important friend to him. And yes, he had brought that time up in front of T’sai, but he had most certainly left the weyrlings out of it. He made sure to keep his personal issues personal and very far from his professional duties. She was the one to take such offense to it. And yet she take all this time to yell at him and then tell him to get out without giving him so much as a second to say a word?
His grip was hard on her upper arm as he grabbed hold of her when she passed him by. “You can be angry at me,” he said in a low voice, too aggravated to look her in the face, “You can express that anger to me. Every time you do, I stand there and I’ll take the words, the punches, the thrown shoes, the disrespect…” his face turned to meet hers then, his eyes cold and his face hard, “but when I come to speak with you, I expect you to at least give me a chance to say what I came to say.” He released her arm then, and stepped back to give her a bit more space she was probably wishing she had, but he wasn’t done yet. “Now,” he continued in the commanding voice he used most often in meetings and wing practices and when teaching the weyrlings, “you can either tell Harm you’ll be a while and have a seat with me and we can discuss things like the adults we are, OR you can continue to act like a spoilt child and ignore me.” “In which case,” K’din continued with a slightly evil bent to his smirk, “I’ll just ignore you ignoring me and follow you around wherever you go until you agree to give me the time of day.” He reached for his belt before looking back up at the woman, “I believe you were on your way to take a bath?”
