June 2012
Upcoming Flights:There are currently no clutching flights being planned to result in PC hatchings. However, as you can see, we have a poll going where you all can vote for if you want a clutch of pets to happen. It's multiple choice, so you can vote for more than one if you'd like more than one kind of hatching to happen.
Current Lessons:There are currently no lessons being run. With the hatching over, we hope to have both candidate and weyrling lessons running soon.
Weyrling Updates:The Flowers of Paradise and Divine Nature Weyrlings are approximately two months old
Season:Winter - Winter is the rainy season here in Sanctuary, and when it rains it pours. This season is unusually wet and many of the ground level weyrs are at risk of minor flooding, despite being built a step above the ground in an attempt to avoid such an occurrence.
Recent Events:Hatching - The hatching is finally over. Congratulations to all the new weyrlings, and apologies for the length of time it took us to complete the hatching.
Current Events:Green Alazandriath has risen once again (In an NPC'd flight) and been caught by Silver Taranisleth. This will be an NPC clutch.
Upcoming Events:There are currently no major events being planned for this month
Contests:The guesses from the hatching planning are currently being tallied and the winners, along with their prizes, will be announced soon.
Rumours/Goings On:With Weyrling V'get revealed to be the son of a Lord Holder, there is some unrest stirring in the weyr. Though the search rider has been punished for his failure to follow protocol and suspended from any search duties, there are some who whisper that the weyr should stop searching outside their own, while others say that the riders should reveal themselves to the world, despite that thread does not yet fall.
The first of the Seahold's fishing boats have been completed. Those who sail them have been returning to shore with tales of strange dolphins. Though the local pods seem to understand the need for their humans to remain unknown to the rest of the world, there are fears that these strange dolphins will tell of fishing boats where none should be.
There is a rumour making the rounds that one of the newly impressed weyrlings is involved with one of the adult green riders. Whether there is any truth in this statement, or even who this statement might be referring to, is unclear.
Love is in the air! The gossip mill has produced the tale that a member of the queens wing was seen taking a romantic picnic with one of the younger candidates. What comes of this remains to be seen, but it is certain that the old aunties are watching closely to find out what happens next.
