I've Got The Curse!, Post Werewolf AttackŠ*Script Style RP*

*Wakes up in the hospital wing, feeling groggy, and having a dull ache in her leg*

*Sits up, and instantly flops back down onto the pillow*

Crap...

*Tries to sit up again, and shakily pulls the blanket off so she can look at her leg*

*Eyes widen when she sees the scars, since the Matron managed to heal her injuries, but not hide them completely*

Oh my GOD...

*Starting to remember the attack, and then starts to freak out*

Oh my God, that was a werewolf... on a full moon... oh CRAP!

*had slept in a chair in the infirmary since she brought Helena in*

*They didn't know each other well, but she felt like someone should stay with her*

*Logan, in his form, had stayed for a bit, before having to return outside at the nurse's request*

*She woke up when she heard Helena talking*

*Watched her, unsure what to even say* Yeah... Yeah, it was....

*Pursed her lips, feeling awkward*

*Turns to look at Katharine, eyes wide and shocked that someone else was there and she didn't notice*

You... you're that Frogmorton Chaser, yeah? Katie... Kathy?

*Not sure of her name*

Why are you here?

*Recoils away from her, suddenly assuming she's a werewolf*

Was it you? Were you the one that bit me?

*Fumbles about for her wand*

It's Kate.

*Rolls eyes*

I was the Frogmorton chaser. Before the fi- *pauses, frowning* Before this year.

*gives her a 'are you serious' look and stands up*

Your wand is over here,

*picks up Helena's wand, covered in dried mud, from a table top*

and for your information, I'm the one who levitated you in here, but if you'd rather I just left you out there to bleed to death, I'll keep that in mind if this happens again.

*crosses her arms, feeling like Helena should be more appreciative*

*Momentarily distracted by Quidditch talk*

Sorry... I'm terrible with names. You should have stayed on the team. Frogmorton's a lot weaker without you on board.

*Frowns*

Thanks! I mean that! But it's just hit me like a ton of bricks that it was a god-damn...

*Lowers her voice to a hiss*

... werewolf that bit me, on a full freaking moon I might add, and I can connect the dots and figure out that next full moon I'm going to be the flea bitten fur ball running about the grounds!

*Flops back into her pillows and folds her arms, looking somewhere between livid and tearful*

So forgive me my lack of manners, Kate. I'm in a lot of pain, my leg looks like it's been used as a chew toy, and I just found out that my life is pretty much over, and all before breakfast!

*Frowned*

I know. They suck this year. But... I just couldn't...

*Looked down, trying to not think about Orion and quidditch*

*Narrows her eyes*

Not all werewolves are bad...

*Hisses, matching helena's contempt. It was known around Salem by a few that Logan and Kate were together, so Kate didn't mention why she was defending werewolves, not wanting to give away Logan's secret*

Oh shut it. Your life isn't over. So you're a werewolf. Yeah, it sucks, but you'll get past it. If anyone has a problem with it, fuck 'em.

*Rolls her eyes*

*Shakes her head*

Duh! I know that! Werewolves are people except for when it's full moon, but try telling that to dragons. They can smell werewolves, and they really, really don't like them. There's my future career up shit creek.

*Looks tearful*

That was what I wanted, more than anything in the world. I wanted to work with dragons. And now I can't...

*Sniffles, then grabs her pillow and punches it repeatedly, snarling her words*

If I ever find the flea-bitten bitch that bit me, I'll shove my broomstick so far up her ass she'll taste varnish for a month!

Spent the previous night in Professorr Volkov's cabin, only to learn at sunrise that the fledgling wolf is the Professor's sister. Received a threatening earful to keep his mouth shut about her and politely left it at that - it would not be his secret to tell anyway.

Heads back to the Institute and sees a small shrub of weeds, rips out a few dandelions. Because classes don't start for another couple of hours, he takes a detour to the Hospital Wing.

Outside the Hospital Wing's door, is glad to hear Helena conscious and talking, to who he couldn't tell. Hangs back and eavesdrops for a little bit, grins at the stab about the broomstick and varnish.

Then the door's flying wide open, catching him completely off guard, face to face with the Hospital Wing's Nurse--

"Who are you here to see, boy?"

"Oh uh... I, uh..." Licks his lips, "Helena Pembroke?"

*Frowns, unsure what to say about Helena's dream about working with dragons*

Well... That um...

*She clasped her hands together awkwardly in her lap*

That really sucks.

*bites at the dry skin on her lip nervously, questioning why she's even there in the first place*

*Pulls a few tissues out of the tissue box beside the bed and hands them to her*

*Smirks slightly at Helena's violent threat toward the wolf who bit her. Takes a deep breath*

I may be like, just passing Defense Against the Dark Arts, but I do know that not all werewolves have access to wolfsbane potions. Not all can help it. That wolf didn't look like it had any human instinct in it at all. Whoever it was, wasn't their self, obviously.

*Has more sympathy and understanding toward werewolves ever since she got more involved with Logan*

*Takes the tissue and rubs her eyes with it*

*Crumples up the tissue in her palm and looks at Katharine*

Whoever it was better hope I don't get my hands on them.

*Looks nervous*

Are they going to kick me out of school now? Surely they won't allow a werewolf in the grounds!

*Hears voices nearby, and sighs, but then looks at Kate curiously*

How did you find me? Last thing I remember was seeing some freaky monster of a wolf, then some normal looking wolves came along, and I thought that was it, I was puppy chow! There's something you're not telling me, Kate.

Is shown the way through to Helena's bedside and finds it unexpected to see her talking with Logan's girl--

"Kate," recalls that she doesn't know he's the white wolf from last night. Thinks why she'd be here with Helena when she oughta be by Logan's side, like always. "You two good friends?"

Looks at Helena and gives a polite nod, completely aware that they've never met before, "Word's traveling fast that you were attacked in the forest..." Looks down at his hands, "These are uh, for you."

Hands her his dandelion bouquet.

*Narrows her eyes again, feeling angry about Helena's view on werewolves*

They won't kick you out of school, idiot. There are other students here who are werewolves, you know. Stop thinking they're monsters, because they're not. They're normal fucking people.

*Crosses her arms and sighs*

I was just out having a smoke, heard you screaming, and I levitated you here. That's all. No big heroic story. No secrets.

*Looks up when she hears footsteps. Sees a boy that she doesn't really know. She just knows he's a year older than her. She raises an eyebrow when he says her name, since she doesn't really know him. Shakes her head*

No, we're not friends. I found her in the woods and figured someone ought to stay with her.

*Studying him, thinking he seems familiar. Not how he looks, but his attitude and mannerisms*

*Snarls at Kate*

An idiot, am I? Sorry I'm not little miss expert on werewolves like you seem to be. And have you met Headmistress Siddal? I didn't think she'd be too keen on weres, seeing as she's one of those pureblood weirdos.

*Folds her arms and huffs*

Sure. You know about other werewolves in the school, and they conveniently didn't attack you while you came to my rescue. How noble of you! You should be in Stormalong with courage like that.

*Sees Lucas approaching, and recognizes him from Stormalong house*

Raines, right?

*Glances down at her legs, which she had uncovered to view the damage earlier, and quickly pulls the blankets up to her waist to hide them*

Oh...

*Goes a bit pink*

*Takes the dandelions and smiles*

*Raised an eyebrow when Helena snarled at her*

Fuck Siddal. Nobody likes her, so who is she to say who's acceptable and who isn't?

*Her face reflected rage*

You know what, maybe I shouldn't have rescued you! Maybe I should have left you out there to bleed out, huh?! Is that what you would have wanted?! I'm not the enemy here, so stop taking your shit out on me, got it?!

*Folds her arms, mirroring Helena. Speaks in a low hiss*

There are people I am close to who are werewolves, and I'll defend them until I'm blue in the face.

*Watches as Helena goes pink and turns nicer in the boy's presence. Rolls her eyes*

Smiles shyly at Helena, stuffing his hands in his pockets, "Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt you guys." Looks at Kate, her arms are folded and she looks pissed for some reason-- "Sounded like you two were havin' a heated conversation or somethin'..."

Licks his lips and turns around, looks behind and around him, peering out for the Nurse. Turns back to them and lowers his voice, "If I didn't know any better, I could've sworn I picked up the word werewolf..."

Looks back and forth between the two girls, lingering a millisecond longer at Kate, "You might wanna be careful about utterin' that word so carelessly around here."
