One may ask, why was a child, a tiny defenseless child sitting all alone on the beach. The child utterly known of by Grace, the tiny six year old who lived in the west woods who had been raised by wolves. One may ask, where are her parents? Well, her answers lay somewhere in Saffron, and some day she will find out her true name, her true parents, and her true meaning. But right now, she enjoys her life, despite how painful it may look at the time being. What more could Grace ask for? Two lovely wolves who took care of her despite her being a human, those cruel human beings who constantly hunted the poor animals. However they gave Grace a second chance to life, they let her live. She would grow up, and be a child. Despite her living style, she is a normal child. Standing at the normal height, having the normal weight. The island wasn't that rude at all, morning through night, a few people would give her food to live on, some clothes, but the bedding was her wolves. She had never devoted herself to go live in the inn or a house, because she was to young and they would most likely reject her since she had no authority with her. Adding to it, her family couldn't join her.

Emmy was licking her precious black fur that would be valuable as a coat, but Grace refused anyone to take the precious wolf away from her, and despised thinking of that. She didn't want money, she just wanted a family. And that's what she had, a family that wasn't normal you may say, but they are family and that's all that matters to her. Krissy was laying next to the little girl, his head laid into her tiny lap as he stared at Emmy. Grace was (in the time being) holding her white stuffed rabbit to her chest and playing with the thick white coat Krissy owned. Both wolves where dear to Grace, and she would give the world to keep them with her forever. When Krissy stood up only to stretch, Grace and Emmy suddenly stood up. Grace didn't stand to tall of course, and the two wolves stood taller than her even when sitting down. Grace smiled at Emmy before patting her head, instantly dashing off onto the beach and screaming like a child. Emmy quickly picked on the act and growled, snarled, and howled at Grace. "Help!!!! It's a wolf!!!" She yelled, there was seriousness all in her voice though she knew she was joking. Passing people would feel concern for her, and if they saw her face they would carry on her life. However, if it was any new-day Saffron traveler, than that was a different story.

Personally, Grace had acknowledged the fact there where a LOT of new residents coming to Saffron, and actually didn't mind it since it meant more fun to tease them. But that got out of control way to many times. Some people would actually run at her family with knives, guns, and stuff like that making her panic. In many attempts, she would yell stop loudly, and sometimes even tossed her rabbit at the person to stop them. As she ran, she found herself stumble and fall on her face. Krissy was heard in the back, howling as if asking if she was okay. However, Emmy kept the act on and growled at her as the wolf toppled the girl. Holding in laughs, Grace found herself screaming again. "Help!!!!"

When Sanaa had left her house that morning, she believed it would be an ordinary, nice summer day. Having brought a book along with her to read over at the beach for awhile before she decided to head back and attend to other matters.

Sure, she didn't much care for actually taking a dip into the water, but the beach was a nice place to be. And it wasn't really required of you to just jump right in to enjoy yourself. Quietly she had sat down on the sand and started to read, quickly becoming absorbed in what the pages contained. "Let's see... So you have to do that first... Then cook it for this long..." Yeah, just so she could think of some new 'creative' ways to go about cooking, she had brought a cookbook along with her. Not really a common type of reading material when you were at the beach, but with not really working at the moment, she needed ways to keep up the practice. Since there was only so many things she could cook without getting Jen on her case about it. Old people were such fussy eaters... Either that or it was only just her grandmother who enjoyed being difficult. She let out a small sigh, letting herself fall backwards onto the ground. " This looks good though too..." Holding the book up in the air, she stared at one recipe that looked like it would be really good to eat. Too bad she couldn't cook however she pleased, as all the leftovers would surely go to waste. And of course with her way of thinking, she never considered that she could always go around handing stuff out to feed other people.

"Help!!!! It's a wolf!!!" She became distracted when she heard someone yell. It sounded like a child, were there kids playing some kind of game? Putting the book down, she lifted herself up on her elbows, looking out to see what was going on. If it was a game, she would've liked to join.

Sadly, she was only half right.

Yes, there was a child running around on the beach. No, it wasn't more than one kid. And to Sanaa, it didn't look at all like a game. In fact, it was a child being chased by a living, breathing wolf. "Oh Goddess!" When the young girl fell down and the growling wolf started nudging and pushing her, poor Sanaa couldn't suppress the scream that rose up in her throat. "Help!!!!" Scrambling back onto her feet, she snatched up her book and rushed over to Grace, with some reluctance. "Hey! S-shoo! G-go away!" She shouted nervously at the furry animal. Although it technically wasn't your average dog, it still made her nervous, since it was a wolf! That was even worse since that easily made it dangerous! Gripped with fear as she noticed there was a second one, she uselessly used the book as a shield. Her mind going blank, she couldn't at all think of how to get the wolf to go away peacefully without it ending up making the girl it's next meal.
OOC; Yeah, went with poor Sanaa instead. 'xD Grace can meet Malique some other time. >>

Emmy was attacking Grace playfully, but also a bit to harsh that a child the mere size of Grace couldn't take, Grace was literally screaming for real now. It was obvious Krissy had known something was up, and also had noticed the approach of yet, another girl. "S-shoo! G-go away!" With that, Grace knew this wasn't someone very knowing of the island. If she was, most likely she hadn't heard of Grace yet. But it didn't matter, Grace wasn't going to be rude about not being known, it was just a lame rumor people made up of her. Some said she was some type of demon, that was a disgusting one. She couldn't walk through the town without being pointed at once.

Emmy started biting at Grace's head, that's when Krissy finally snapped at Emmy, pushing her down to the new strangers feet, baring all of her white teeth at Emmy. Emmy's ears and tail suddenly went into fear mode, knowing she shouldn't mess with Krissy. Grace sat up only to find herself standing up, holding her white stuffed rabbit closer to her chest now. Krissy got off the top of Emmy only to sit down next to the little girl, Emmy was now hiding behind the stranger, morely avoiding Krissy. Whenever Krissy snapped, Emmy avoided him for awhile until she thought it was fine. The two always got in fights, it made Grace's head hurt as if they where two screaming babies. "Ugh..." What a way to begin a conversation, Grace's tiny hand went instantly behind her head as she felt the spot the tiny pup had bit her, it hurt really bad she thought she nearly felt blood withdrawing a bit.

Opening a single eye, she stared at the stranger and smiled. "Wolves aren't the best to play with sometimes." she blurted out a bit randomly, if it was a regular person that wasn't new (or was she?) to Grace, she most likely would've talked more about the two wolves, but seeing how she didn't recognize this face, she approached a different term. It wasn't that good to ignore an introduction, talk about yourself, all that. "Hngh... My names Grace, nice way to meet you, huh?" Her childish tone instantly shone through brightly, it wasn't anything new or anything, but that childish town was stronger than usual.

Sanaa was on the verge of a heart attack at this rate, especially when she saw the wolf start trying to bite Grace. She was also on the verge of practically throwing the book in her hands right at the wolf, just to scare it away. But wasn't given the chance, not like she wanted to harm the animal anyway. With her heart skipping a beat, Sanaa actually believed that trouble was brewing when the other wolf took action, bracing herself as she thought it was coming for her.

Apparently the target wasn't her after all, but her heart did skip another beat when the wolves got into a fight of their own. Instinctively taking a step back in reaction to the wolf Emmy getting pushed away towards her. Looking at those sharp teeth being bared at the other wolf, she couldn't help but shudder at the thought of those instead being directed at her own throat... Remaining as still as a statue when the animal took refuge behind her, not having a clue about what just happened. She looked over at Grace with both concern and uncertainty. It's not like Sanaa was a specialist on animal behavior after all!

"Wolves aren't the best to play with sometimes." The wolves were doing what? "P-p-playing?!" She stammered in shock, was she out of her mind? That looked more like she was going to wind up as breakfast! "B-but... I thought..." With a small whimper, her knees buckled under her, as she let herself collapse onto the sand. Having dropped the book as well. Taking in a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down after that awful scare. But with a wolf hiding behind her, that wasn't easy to do. "Hngh... My names Grace, nice way to meet you, huh?"

Amazing... Despite what just happened, this girl didn't seem at all phased by the event. Letting out a small anxious laugh, a small smile only just barely showing on her face. "You could say that..." This girl wasn't at all afraid of these animals? "I'm Sanaa..." Her voice was still pretty much unsteady, as it wasn't often that she encountered wolves around here. "You're not hurt, are you?" Slowly regaining her composure, she was trying real hard to pretend that there wasn't a wild animal right behind her.

So much for an ordinary day...

"B-But I thought..." Yep, most people thought the wolves where trying to kill her or eat her and stuff like that, but it was just a joke but it wasn't like she knew this after all, she'd explain it in awhile now so the girl didn't run home only to think she was a freak and played with stray animals. When she had collapsed to her knees on the ground, Grace found herself plopping on her knees only to crawl over there and poke her cheek. "I'll explain it all if you need." Grace found her head tilted a little as she looked at her, it was easy to say she must've been scared. Emmy only added it on with how she was whimpering behind her.

Sana, so that was her name. It was a really fitting name for her in Grace's own opinion, but she was only a child with an opinion in mind. Emmy slowly made her way next to Sana, putting her black fuzzy face next to Sana's legs. Her unsteady voice said it obviously; she didn't understand a thing going on anymore. One minute Grace had been screaming and yelling, only to be found by a young lady by the name of Sana, seeing her get her hair pulled. And now, she was talking as if nothing had ever even happened. Honestly, it wasn't often that Emmy did that, but the scaring part came more than often.

"You're not hurt, are you?" With that, Grace put her hand to her head and felt around, pulling down only a little blood came in contact. "Not all that much, Emmy just gets a bit rough when she plays." Grace found herself giggling, wiping her hand against the sandy beach furiously to get the blood off her hand, it wasn't nice to see a child running around town with blood on there hands now was it? Especially with wolves following you, cause then everyone would defiantly get the wrong idea of it all.

"This is basically my family. I don't have parents before you ask the typical question." She smiled, Patting the white wolves head as his head went back into her lap, Emmy was just sitting there, still next to Sana, tail and ears down still. If you listen closely, you could hear the tiny whimpers coming from her.

Staring at the little girl, it was still hard to believe that the wolves were merely playing. She blinked when she felt little fingers poking at her cheek. "I'll explain it all if you need." Still trying to get over that horrible scare, Sanaa could do nothing but nod dumbly, as a hand went up to rub her cheek. That was definitely something she was going to need at this point, a good explanation that would hopefully make this whole process easier on her.

She was having a hard time controlling her fear, as she only barely managed to suppress a small squeak as she felt fur brushing against her leg. "W-what's it doing?" Utterly confused, she was starting to slowly lean away from Emmy, as the last thing she wanted was to get bitten. And because she was still terrified of Emmy, didn't bother to think if she even had a gender when she said that. Not like she could really tell the difference anyway between male and female wolves...

Her gaze remained frozen on that black head resting near her, puzzled over how the way it acted made it looked more like a tamed dog than a wild animal ready to chew someone's head off. But even being able to picture that didn't make much difference, both types of large canines pretty much spooked her regardless. But... Should she pet it? That idea make her reluctant, since she didn't want to regret it in case she was mistaken and it didn't like being touched. "Not all that much, Emmy just gets a bit rough when she plays." When her attention shifted over to Grace, she visibly flinched at the sight of crimson on her hand. "Here..." She started, turning to reach over and pull out a handkerchief. Handing the piece of cloth to Grace. "Use this to clean it off."

"This is basically my family." The wolves were her family? This black one was named Emmy? Glancing back at Emmy, although still nervous about her, Sanaa was definitely becoming curious now. But what about her par-- "I don't have parents before you ask the typical question." Grace said it before she had even asked. She probably shouldn't dwell on asking any further questions about it then. Although it was pretty tempting. "So... This is your family." She repeated. Watching the wolf a little longer, she thought she was hearing sounds. Was that whimpering? "I guess that rumor I heard wasn't a rumor after all." The small smile turned into a sheepish one as she looked back to Grace. "You must get this sort of reaction a lot when meeting strangers, huh?" Even she ended up overreacting, which made her feel pretty silly about it.

It was hard not to giggle like a child normally did, when people had called the wolves "it" she always found the urge of tiny giggles running in her throat. But it was hard to find out if they where females or males either way, but she found out.. somehow. "Emmy isn't that bad, she's just scared of Krissy. Krissy is to protective at times." Grace smiled, her eyes glistening brightly at the topic of the two, she could just talk the ears off of the lady, but she decided that wasn't a great idea... In fact, it didn't hit Grace she wasn't even answering her question at all. "It want's someone to love her I think maybe.. Krissy is with me, so Emmy doesn't want to be near me for love~" Smiling brightly at Emmy who's eyes suddenly perked up, her stance stood up more again but she didn't move from her spot. When the lady started leaning away, Emmy only found her way closer towards her.

Looking up to see the cloth, Grace's eyes tilted slightly. She knew what it was, but she thought it was only used for clothing and wiping her mouth after eating as rich people did as she heard, but not for cleaning blood stains. "What is it?" She asked slowly, grabbing it carefully to make sure the girl was meaning it, when it slipped through her fingers, she put it to the back of her head anyways. She wasn't going to pass down the offer of course, that wouldn't be good at all. Looking at the cloth after awhile of pushing it onto the back of her head, she found herself looking at the cloth. She thought at the time, she was going to bleed out because of her tiny body, she just thought it. She was so tiny, did she have enough blood for this? She hoped so, it scared her brain.

Rumors? Did she say Rumors? It made Grace perk up brightly, like any child would as if being offered a large bowl of cotton candy, or being able to lick the chocolate off of the mixers. But she wouldn't know of course, she never had that luxury. "Oh, what rumors?~" It was obvious to hear interest of a child in her voice as she asked that question, she couldn't help herself. Did she mean a rumor about her? A rumor about wolves in the woods? A rumor about a girl living in the woods, all alone? There was an endless possibilities, and Grace just wanted to make sure.

"You must get this sort of reaction a lot when meeting strangers, huh?" With that, Grace smiled smugly as she patted Krissy's head, Krissy stood up on all fours and Grace hopped up and hugged Krissy around the neck tightly, her warm white fur tickling her fur. Emmy was now rubbing her head against Sannaa, hardly caring if she wanted her near her or not. "Most new strangers to the place don't know me, and panic a lot. But people who have lived here for the last couple of years know me by Grace 'the wolf girl'" She giggled at that nickname. Most children her age would ignore questions and answer it with a question, or start stabbing at them with a stick as she knew of. But she wasn't raised by a family, and had to fend for herself you could say that's how she got her awkward attitude as a child she guessed.

When Grace suddenly started giggling, Sanaa wasn't sure what was so funny. Was it something she said? Completely unaware of the mistake she made by calling Emmy an 'it', she merely let the child's fit of amusement pass. "Emmy isn't that bad, she's just scared of Krissy. Krissy is to protective at times." Huh, so Emmy was afraid? That would explain the whimpering sounds. Based upon what happened a moment before, she could easily see why. Though just watching Emmy cowering like this seemed rather undignified for such a proud creature. Though she didn't have time to really worry about how it made the wolf look as Grace continued. "It want's someone to love her I think maybe.. Krissy is with me, so Emmy doesn't want to be near me for love~" Seeing that bright little smile plastered on the young girl's face, she couldn't help but smile herself. Though her's wavered a little as the animal persisted in staying near her, despite any attempts to maintain this strained personal bubble she had reserved for any canis 'friends'... "It-- She... Wants what from me?!" She said, that nervous spark returning as she made sure to call the wolf the appropriate gender that Grace seemed sure of. Thinking the girl was actually being serious, and with how Emmy refused to back away. Her hand very slowly moved towards the wolf with much reluctance. "Please don't bite me..." She muttered fearfully as she felt her fingers lightly brush against Emmy's black fur.

Although this moment should have been absolutely amazing for Sanaa, being able to actually touch a wolf. Her fear kinda killed the moment to some degree. "A handkerchief." She said, looking back at Grace. Welcoming the distraction. "Probably not one of the intended uses for one, but it's better than sand." She didn't mind if the blood stained it, since she had made it herself, it wasn't really all that fancy. And Sanaa was capable of making herself another one if she needed to.

Something about what she said must've been really interesting if she looked like she was going to get candy or something. And Sanaa would know that look very well, since she liked candy too. And had been teased by her brothers about it when she perked up the moment she smelled something sweet in the air, much like a scent hound catching the scent of prey. She gritted her teeth a little at remembering their exact words. When Grace asked the question about the rumors, Sanaa shrugged a little. "Oh. Well... I'm pretty sure someone mentioned something about..." She trailed off for a moment, thinking carefully about it. What did they say again? "... Oh! It was something about a little girl that lived with wolves and acted much like a wolf herself..." Last she remembered, the way that person said it made it sound more mysterious. Looking back at Grace, the rumor probably wasn't entirely true either. As she didn't really seem wild. "Sorry, I'm not very good at exactly repeating what other people say." Much of the rumor she found was hard to believe, so paying attention wasn't what she was really doing at the time either... But decided not to mention that part as she offered Grace an apologetic smile.

Once Grace got back on her feet, Sanaa was glad that she wasn't badly hurt. Along with at the same time also admiring Grace for being so calm around these animals. Speaking of which, she had forgotten that she was still... 'Petting' the wolf Emmy, which feeling the wolf press it's head against her quickly reminded her of that. Unable to keep herself from quickly moving her hand away from Emmy, which probably wasn't a good idea if the wolf was prone to biting things that moved quickly... Uh, anyway... So it was new people who mostly gave off that reaction? "I see... I'm not exactly new to the island, as I was born here. But, I haven't been around for awhile. As I only came back about... Over a year ago?" Even so, that probably did count her for being 'new' in a way if she had freaked out. But in her case, the rumor didn't even come to mind when it happened, as her mind was a little preoccupied with other things.

Hearing her quickly stammer over calling Emmy a It again instead of She, Grace hold in various giggles but didn't fine herself even answering her question. Maybe she had not known what she said at first and just wanted to know, it didn't pass her mind all that much really. But soon enough, she found herself running her fingers through Emmy's fur and Emmy instantly wagged her tail, acting like a dog. If Krissy could roll her eyes, he most likely would've done so. Emmy loathed in attention, it made her increase the stunt, and this only added to her getting closer. Emmy's head was particularly all over her now.

"A handkerchief." looking up for a brief moment, Grace had been staring at Krissy for a moment there and hadn't noticed that she had answered her question until her body suddenly went..

    <BA-DUMP>

She looked up and heard her explain the use, of course she was right. It was pretty much better than using the sand to wipe of her blood, which wouldn't be lovely for another person to see blood on the sand, stained there like some horror scene had just happened. "I'll keep it mind than. Handkerchieeef" she pronounced it out loud, a bit horribly to. She had heard that if you say something out loud, you remember it easier, so she had devoted herself to that part now.

Grace sat there, waiting for her to tell her. Really, it wasn't like she would be shocked over it since most people made up so many stupid false rumors about her. Grace wasn't a really bad or mean person, she just had troubles getting along with people cause of how long she'd been living with wolves now. "Acting like a wolf hm?" Grace couldn't help but burst into a rhythmical laughter, she was surprised. Many people thought since she lived with wolves, she'd be howling at the moon with them, hunting rabbits, running on all fours (which wasn't good in a dress period). It was just weird, sure she lived with them, but was she wild? Of course not!

Grace nodded a little bit, she could see that she was still petting Emmy, Of course Emmy was now, literally, sleeping while she was sitting down. If you pet her for so long, she would usually start sleeping no matter the position she was in, it was a pretty humorous sight in her opinion. "Ah, well than I guess I missed out the introduction about... however long ago it was in my year range at least." she giggled a bit playfully as she smiled a bit to, Krissy stood up, pushing her front paws out in front of him and stretching his back. Emmy on the other hand, was still sleeping peacefully while sitting down on her hinie.
