A cold Winter Night with ---
Notes: ---I could've wrote down every thoughtI've been thinking to myself all this past year. Ever since Winter started, Evangeline had been inside her house and locked up, literally. Nobody wanted to visit her during Winter, and she was fine with that. She didn't really mean it in a mean way, nothing was wrong since Winter was a cold season. Evangeline usually stayed inside during Winter, the only time she left her house was to get food or during the night to look at the stars on her porch. But tonight was different, she didn't want to look at the stars on her porch, she wanted to go somewhere else and look at them. Ever since Nolly had been at her house, nobody visited her. Not even Aries, and that was rather weird. But it wasn't a bad thing to her, it wasn't going to make her mad that her friends didn't visit her. Being inside, breathing her own air for the whole season wasn't enjoyable and not something somebody wanted to do, she wanted out. Maybe she could say all night at the falls, it sounded better than staying inside all night. Even though she'd probably be cold, it was worth it. The fresh air to accompany her, the sound of wind pounding her face as she sat there and looked at the stars, it sounded better than being inside for the rest of her life. But she didn't really mean she was going to sleep in the snow.. That was just a joke, she didn't want to get sick or anything like that, what would she do if some guy suddenly trampled across her and was drunk, she'd be in trouble since she couldn't scream for help or anything like that.
Standing up from the couch, she turned her tiny old fashioned TV off before stepping over a few things on the floor that she needed to clean up, heading towards her room to grab some more suitable clothing and maybe a blanket in case. Tossing her own clothes onto the floor, a pair of shorts and a tank top outside didn't seem really good. Even though she may of seemed crazy wearing them inside also, it was a lot warmer inside the house than it was outside of the house. Throwing a blue sweater over her head, the sleeves went right past her thumbs. Bending over to pull up her jeans, she quickly pulled them up and buttoned them, er whole outfit was blue. Well, her jeans were dark blue and in the night might as well be classified as black, her sweater was a dully colored blue, the sweater being a bit large for her but working just fine. Grabbing her red plaid scarf, she quickly tossed it around her neck. Plopping onto the bed, she grabbed her socks and pulled them onto her feet, stuffing her feet into a pair of tan boots that overlapped her pants. Even though she didn't expect to run into anyone, she grabbed her notepad and a pencil, being a habit for whenever she went outside, even if she didn't run into anyone. Grabbing her blanket on the way out.
Walking out the door, she slowly closed it and locked it, testing it by trying to open the door to make sure it was closed before making her way down the stairs and towards the falls, her other arm holding a thin blanket that was long enough to cover her whole body if she wanted to. The cold air instantly smacked her across the face, making a shiver go down her spine as her boots crunched slowly into the light layers of snow, the falls were beautiful at night. Most people said it was a romantic spot when another accompanied you at night, though she didn't really have a romantic relationship with anyone yet, she couldn't say she didn't like some of the guys here, but she didn't want to jump to the conclusions that her heart desired them more than anything. The stars shone brightly in the sky, her breathe nearly being taken away, her lips gaped open the slightest to breathe in the cold air and excel the cold air, making a white cloud in front of her.
Plopping onto her bottom next to the falls, she quickly wrapped the blanket around her shoulders, keeping herself as warm as possible as she looked at the sky, a soft smile on her face as the notepad laid in the snow next to her. She didn't really know if anyone enjoyed star at night, and especially on a cold winter night like this, but they seemed beautiful as ever.

Sweet shivered in the cold. She hated the cold. It was.. it was.. the opposite of warm. Nice, comforting, the best temperature to curl up for a nap. Well at least there was snow. Snow made everything better. You could play in it, it was pretty until everyone stomped through it, and she was able to make ice cream out of it! Scoop some snow off a clean surface, add some of that canned milk, a little vanilla, stir it all up and you got your sweet ice cream treat. Sure you could only eat it when it snowed, but that kinda made it special, magical, a family tradition... Well... maybe the family part didn't include her anymore.
Sweet tugged on her zipper even though it was has high has it could go. She cursed wondering why she was always still cold even with a thick black jacket. She was pretty rapped up. Thick dark pants, a couple of shirts, with gloves, a hat, boots, and even socks! Most people wouldn't find socks to be that surprising of a clothing choice, but Sweet hated socks! They were just annoying and always felt like they were sinking into her shoes. When she wore them she felt like she was always stoping to pull them back up. People might rather question why she was wearing all black than her socks. When Sweet thought about it after she left.. 'that place' she wasn't sure if wearing all black would help or hurt tonights mission. Yes it was night and she guessed in the shadows and under the trees she could go unnoticed, but under any light has illuminate has the moon's or brighter she would be in trouble. A ground coated with pure white snow made her appear has a beacon that something weird might be going on.
What was going on? Sweet was napping someone tonight! Sure she hadn't been on the island long, but she was tired of Chelsi's home sweet home plan already! No way was she playing a happy sweet house wife anymore! She was going to find some unfortunate bloke of a local and hold then at gun point until she got her answers!
Sweet looked around not sure where she was... she was a little directionally challenged. Well more than a little but she wouldn't stop for directions. To stubborn. Especially tonight where she couldn't risk anyone remembering her or where she was heading afterwords. Sweet looked around and realized she heard water running. Curious, she followed the sound until she found the source. A beautiful waterfall roaring under the sparkling night sky. It was the kind of sight that made her wish she could whistle. If anything made the trip to land worth it, some of the scenery defiantly did. The ocean was lovely, but the same view over and over again could get tiresome.
Sweet looked around to see a girl. One of those girls that were cute and not overly prissy. The kind that made you want to say 'awwwww'. Sweet looked around seeing she was alone. What was she? Stupid? Maybe this was the confront of a small island like how small communities don't mind leaving their doors unlocked. Whatever the reason, just because she was small and cute has a chipmunk wasn't going to stop her from pumping her of information. If anything, it just made her an easier target. Easier to restrain and Sweet found it that frighten girls were more likely to stay quiet than go tattling to the cops.
Sweet smirked has she tucked her face under her jacket and hat just incase the girl turned around. Slowly, Sweet started to approach her. CRUNCH Sweet made a face hearing the snow below her give in. She forgot how noisy snow could be. Rather making a dash for it than maybe spooking the girl and letting her get away, Sweet ran across the snow weary of ice and how deep some places could really be. Sweet puffed has she pulled her gun out of her jacket and covered the girls eyes. She wasn't to worried about the girl seeing her, Sweet was pretty well covered and her hair was tucked into her hat. But she still didn't want the girl to make any observations she could use to identify her later. She wasn't sure but if she saw her in her mad dash the most she could probably do was get her height and size. Sweet held the gun to the girls back and coughed trying to adjust her voice. Another tactic to ensure less finger pointing later. "Hey little girl. You a local?" Sweet tried to make her voice low, soft and and manish. "If you haven't figured," Sweet tapped the gun to the girls back, "This is a gun. If you want to get out of this unscathed, I suggest you don't scream and answer all of my questions. Understand?"

A cold Winter Night with Sweet
Notes: Oh my god xDI could've wrote down every thoughtI've been thinking to myself all this past year. Everything was beautiful at the moment, the sky was brighter than ever and the stars just made it even more beautiful, making the sky literally shine brighter than it would've if it didn't have those stars. Her attention was fully located towards the stars, being utterly fascinated by them. Nothing had bothered her at the moment, not really expecting anything anymore, she had been out here for awhile so nothing really occurred to her that someone may of came to look around. Evangeline had a really eerie feeling in her stomach though, as if something might happen any minute now, she began to get thoughts of worry in her head about things that could happen, making her wish she brought someone to accompany her. A friend, someone she could lean on and hug if she decided to panic like a little freak. She felt like a burden to everyone, always depending on them. People always seemed to help her even if she could do it on her own, like the carnival with Nolly. He payed for nearly everything they did together, it made Evangeline feel terrible, but she didn't feel terrible about it anymore since she got to see him again and pay up for that with dinner. Aries was the friend she needed to pay back so much for, she always protected her. Literally, always. Ever since their childhood, Aries made sure she was safe.
Her thoughts were quickly interrupted at the sound of snow being crunched below somebodies feet, she was about to look in the direction it had came from but before she could even turn her head, her vision quickly turned pitch black as her vision was obviously blocked by somebodies hand or an object. The wind pounded against what wasn't covered of her face, she instantly began to panic in her head, all her thoughts racing and her heart literally leaping into her throat, making her even more scared than she already was. Her whole body began to shiver as the first question was heard, her head slowly nodded a bit nervously as her eyes quickly began to swarm under whatever was blocking her vision, a piece of cloth, clothing, a bag, or someones hand. Whatever it was, she was just scared. Even though Evangeline had been thinking of people like this, murderers, kidnappers, anything like that, she never really expected any of them lived on the island even though she had been thinking of them all night now. If she could speak, she would've asked the question right away. are you going to kill me? but she couldn't, this person would obviously get the wrong idea if she didn't answer the questions.
The feeling of something tapping her back made her shiver even more as the voice spoke more, the next question popped up and the word 'gun' echoed in her mind over and over as the tears finally spilled, going down her eyes that had been covered, unable to hold it in she just let it all spill. Death frightened her, it always had. After seeing the effect it had left on her when her caretaker had died, she was afraid of death, even if nobody cared she was afraid of seeing their reactions also. Her head nodded, shaking bad as ever.
sweet - June 7, 2012 09:16 PM (GMT)
The girl nodded not even making a squeak of noise. Did she scare her speechless? Sweet could feel her gloves getting damp, was she crying? 'Great' was all Sweet could sarcastically think. Sweet couldn't help feeling bad scaring the girl to death. On the other hand, she also wished the girl would get over it and stop crying, she wasn't really going to kill her (even though the girl didn't know that). A little bit of divided feelings between past and present. Past, she herself used to be a crybaby, then she got over everything and now she's a pirate! An occupation where you couldn't stop to cry at a few guns. "Oh just calm down. Answer my questions and you'll be fine!" Sweet puffed annoyed in her fake man voice. Crying victims always were a pain to calm down to get your answers but at least who was in charge was clear.
"So, you know any old tales about the island? Weird creatures, odd things that happened over time, treasure?" Sweet didn't really want to say it so out right, but she wasn't really good about delicate question and tip toeing around what she wanted to know. She felt silly asking though. Asking if local lore was really real. She wouldn't be surprised if someone mistook her for crazy. Her herself didn't believe in such things easily, but Captain wasn't leaving until he got that treasure and what little they did know sounded like some old local fairy tale. It was cool and she liked stories like that and all, but she never really believed them.
Sweet stared at the back of the girl's head waiting for answers. She wasn't that patient of a person but she suspected the girl would have to choke back some tears before attempting to answer her.

A cold Winter Night with Sweet
Notes: ---I could've wrote down every thoughtI've been thinking to myself all this past year. The voice was enough to confuse her for a man, her thoughts racing to even more dangerous situations as she believed the attacker as now a man, even though the voice had been heard four times now, she didn't think anything about gender until know, which just made this situation even worse than it already was. Her head slowly bobbed up and down to say 'yes' as the man told her to calm down, like that was ever going to happen. Why would she even be calm in this situation, nobody would unless they knew how to fight back and knew they could somehow win against someone with a gun, Evangeline couldn't think of a single person who could do that on this island. Her whole body continued to shake as she forced herself to try and calm down, though it wasn't working even if she tried to think of the happiest thoughts she had, it didn't work. Her life could end any moment now, as a gun was pointed at her back.
The next question quickly threw her off as more tears spilled, her fighting to keep them away wasn't working. If she wasn't so frightened and could laugh out loud, she'd laugh harder than ever. But that would've gotten her killed. As she was shaking, she was also to frightened to move at the moment as she thought it over. There where defiantly a load of child talk about creatures on this island, the supernatural and all that. But nothing about any treasure. That was the only thing she had never exactly heard of over the years. Her grandmother had a strong belief in mermaids, thinking they actually lived in the oceans around the island, as one was rumored to swim close to the shore and interact with people, but it suddenly had disappeared. Finally mustering the tiny bit of courage she had in her bones, she slowly shook her head, doing the best she could without the fear of being shot.
Her hands slowly dropped the blanket as it fluttered to the snow behind her, the notepad right by her lap as she slowly felt for it with her hands, her lips shaking massively. What if the man thought she was going to grab something else or try to murder him with a notepad. But she couldn't see what she wrote unless the man moved his hand, and she couldn't see that happening to soon. Her hand felt the paper, the pencil wedged in the spirals above it, her fingers slowly gripping it as she shook rather massively, waiting for him to move his hands, though that was probably not going to happen.
sweet - June 8, 2012 02:24 PM (GMT)
It never occurred to Sweet the girl could be mute. She knew those kinda people were out there but she never ran into any before. It wasn't exactly a common thought to assume the person in front of you was disabled. So her impatience made any compassion for the sobbing girl wear thin. Sweet ground her teeth trying to be patient. Why couldn't captives realize the sooner they gave up what the captors wanted, the sooner they could go free.
Sweet almost jumped when the girl started to move. She wasn't going to seriously fight back, was she? Sweet couldn't help smirking and muffling a chuckle. The girl didn't look like she could hold herself up in any kinda fight, for the regular reasons. She was crying like a baby, she couldn't even muster a word, she was small and dainty, and from being out here alone she could guess lacked self conscious. And maybe being a girl had a little thing to do with it. Well Sweet was a girl too but she didn't know many ready to jump up for a brawl.
Sweet readied herself holding her gun in a position where she could quickly pistol whip the girl unconscious. She wasn't going to kill her for lossy information especially when some cops might find a murder investigation more pressing than some loony running around the hills asking about fairy tales. Plus Sweet never really had a taste for killing like other pirates had. Well she was the team's weapons expert and could get done what needed to get done, but some innocent kid that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Being a pirate hadn't stolen her heart or turned it black, or at least not completely.
Curiosity in wondering how the girl planned to fight back, Sweet peaked over the girl's shoulder to find her playing with a notebook. Sweet looked at it confused wondering if she really planed to fight back. It didn't seem like the smartest weapon. Gun beats paper hands down. Sweet almost reached out and grabbed it before realizing she needed one hand to cover the girl's face and one to hold the gun. Neither seemed like good options of letting go. A smart pirate knows not to let get of your weapon and a smarter one knows when you have leverage over your captive, use it. Restricting them is what made them captive.
Sweet dug her feet in the snow annoyed with her options. "Okay freeze twitchy." Sweet mustered in her man voice cooking up probably the worst compromise. "Close your eyes shut and no peaking or you know what will happen." Sweet poked her again with her gun implying the girl was in serious danger. And with that, Sweet reached around the girl to grab the notebook. Sweet thought the girl still might peak, curiosity was a hard thing to win over. But if that happened she would just have to nock her out and accept her losses. Sweet brought the notebook back where she could see it and started flipping through it. Confusing and confusinger. The beginning of the book was short words and sentences like something you might see in a conversation. At first she thought the girl might be a writer but that didn't make sense with there being so little and no descriptions and gaps in the conversation where it didn't quite make sense. She finally got to blank pages but not wanting to miss anything she flipped through to the end where she found longer groups of words about people and events. "...is this a diary?" Sweet let out a little confused, and her pitch might of proved that.

A cold Winter Night with Sweet
Notes: ---I could've wrote down every thoughtI've been thinking to myself all this past year. The notepad was just in reach, she was ready to write but the mans hand remained over her eyes, making that idea explode to smithereens. Like hell would he uncover her eyes, even if only for a second, she would have to keep her eyes shut as she TRIED to write on her notepad the words she would speak if she had a voice. Why was life so difficult for her? It was just unfair, but she didn't want to complain since there where more people in this world who had worse problems than her, disability or not. She wasn't exactly stopped in any way just yet, but just as her fingers gripped around the notepad to pull it up to her lap and try to right without her eyesight, the man reacted. She instantly froze and felt her whole figure freeze also, not moving or breathing at all, taking it a bit to seriously. She was just afraid to the point she didn't want to disobey in anyway. This guy had an advantage, a gun and a girl who couldn't scream or speak. Even if the gun sounded and hit her, she wouldn't even be able to scream before the bullet even got to her. She wasn't aware that the 'guy' wasn't really going to shoot her, but she wasn't going to take chances either as the man could also be lying to her about that. Her mind was far from focusing on 'his' voice that sounded different a little every time he spoke.
She slightly nodded as more tears left her eyes, squeezing her eyes shut as that squeezed a few tears out of her eyes and flowing down her cheeks in a rather slow pattern, making it hard for her to stop as she felt a few of them make a trail over her lips, her whole body literally shaking at the idea of the gun behind her, pointed at her back and ready to shoot her at any moment now. The notepad was suddenly taken from her fingers as she almost felt the need to snatch it back from the person, but she didn't as that could result in her being in the biggest of trouble. The sound of flipping pages sounded and she instantly knew the person was curious why she had gone for her notepad. There were so many things she could of grabbed, but she went for the notepad. It wasn't everyday you saw a girl who carried a notepad everywhere she went and decided to grab it when a gun was pointed at her back, but she had asked a question about fairy tales on the island and if she wanted the answer she had to write it down or she would be wouldn't be informed, which would also make Evangeline in trouble.
As the pages flipped behind her, she kept her eyes closed and tried to picture something more calm to keep her from panicking even more and most likely doing something on accident and getting a bullet through her heart or back, wherever this person chose to put the bullet in her. She was more worried about the bullet than this attacker getting to see her diary in the back, honestly, she didn't care as long as they didn't laugh at her feelings for certain people or anything. It was just embarrassing, especially if they where to suddenly read it out loud to a crow of people, other than that she didn't mind, especially cause this wasn't just any certain person, but someone who could easily end the life of Evangeline Paris. Even though Evangeline had a few good times in her life so far, she believed death was not an option for her just yet, she had so much to live for that dying would just ruin it all. There was so much she could do, so much she needed to do. She was still pretty young in her opinion, there was so much to expect.
The flipping continued on and on for awhile, her curiosity grew of the persons figure but she didn't have the courage to barely open her eyes even if she was curious. The gun was something that made this want impossible, she didn't have the courage to find out the face of her attacker. Her whole body shivered at the thought of the gun, just the word gun made her want to cry even more, tears slipping through her eyelids and plopping down into her jeans. The question about her diary popped up and she thought about it. How would she answer with only her head, she could nod, shake her head, or slightly raise her shoulder. Gestures weren't the best game for her when it came to being under pressure, though people usually understood her through body language, she usually did that naturally, not by force. Her head slightly tilted to the left as she raised a shoulder, trying to say yes and no, because it was her diary and than again, it wasn't. As she used the front half for speaking to others, she used the back half for people she had met. This whole night was turning into a living nightmare, the longer it went the worse it seemed to be. She just hoped the person didn't tear her notepad, as that would result in the person not getting a single bit of information out of her, even if the threatened her there was no way she could tell them information without paper and a pencil.
sweet - June 8, 2012 05:11 PM (GMT)
Sweet was puzzled. She wasn't exactly the fastest turtle in the race. This was the worst interrogation ever! What did that gesture mean? Why wasn't she talking? Sweet pouted turning red. Her get out quick plan wasn't exactly going her way. Sweet was really starting to get ticked! Maybe she should smack this girl around a bit! Sweet stared at the back of the girl's head annoyed. Has great has a stress reliever sounded, the best idea was to get out of here with the less amount of conflict has possible. She wasn't going to shoot her and if she wasn't going to talk, there was no reason in staying.
Sweet irkly sighed has she closed the dairy and stuffed it into her jacket. The better option was to leave it, since she wore gloves there wouldn't be any prints. But Sweet wanted the girl to panic a bit. Pay back for making her mission a bust. Plus she couldn't help be inquisitive about the front part of the book. Has dangerous has it was to hold on to stolen goods, she wanted to look it over until she was satisfied. She promised herself she would dump it soon after before anyone could come around looking for it.
And now for her escape. Sweet could pistol whip her, that was one option. But instead, Sweet got up, grabbed the girl by the back of her collar, and threw her into the water! Sweet dashed for the cover of the trees putting away her gun. The girl would probably freak out long enough for her to get some good cover so the girl would have no idea of were she went. Sweet didn't feel any remorse about tossing the girl into the water at all. The worst it could do was leave the kid with a cold. In fact, the girl should be thankful! She could of nocked her out! Then she would of been left out in the snow for who knows how long and if no one came along she could die! Has fare has Sweet was concerned she spared her from death. That or a cold plus a headache.
Sweet didn't bother looking back. Even if the kid calmed herself fast enough to catch a glimpse of her, she would only see a figure in black disappear into the trees. Sweet kicked up snow annoyed at todays venter. Nothing fruitful came from her attempt and now, if the girl told anyone, there'll be some rumor of some loon asking about fairy tales. Doesn't really help the crew with their peaceful poking around. If someone wised up it could create conflict. Sweet sighed and rubbed her neck relaxed in the cover of the trees. It was time to go back to the ranch, throw herself into her pillow and scream. First thing she had to do was find the ranch though. Sweet darkly chuckled thinking the girl would probably make it somewhere warm before her. And with that she quietly shuffled through the snow keeping an eye out for strangers. If Captain ever found out of this she would be a laughing stalk around the whole crew!
