Title: A hectic night...
Description: Sanaa, Briar, and Elsie

Caerus - May 21, 2012 09:10 PM (GMT)
It's a cool, quiet night on Licorice Street. Lamps flicker among the streets and the air is still, a light layer of snow brushing the streets. Briar is on her way to Hyssop District to buy items for the household she serves but is stopped along the way by Sanaa, who dropped a precious belonging earlier that day only to just recently realize it, but snow is now covering the entire area.

A drunk Elsie comes stumbling across them, being unstable from too much wine-drinking at Juniper Bar, having a bottle in hand. The two ladies try to make sure the drunk Alchemist doesn't do anything too reckless while trying to find the lost possession.

the truth is that you are dangerous now
( a hectic night)

It was a beautiful winter night, like the harvest gods were truly at rest this day. The cold air was biting but inviting, playfully cold, fun. The streetlights lit the snow on the ground, bright and crisp, a white that glimmered freshly, reflecting the night sky that competed against it for attention. A train whistled so distantly in the background it was nearly inaudible, and the greenery held boughs of snow proudly. Everything truly seemed to be in peace, restful.

And then Elsie Boucher showed up and screwed the entire thing up.

Plodding stupidly through snowdrifts waist-high, the alchemist stopped in the middle of someone's front yard to ponder a few things. First off, why was it so cold? Elsie couldn't remember what was causing this -- well yeah, there was snow, but she had boots (now filled with snow), and she had leggings... oh. Wait. Her hazel eyes grazed downward to reveal that she had somehow managed to shred those off in the wine bar she had been so happily gallavanting in before last call. Well, mystery solved. Secondly, where the hell was she?

A quick glance over her shoulder revealed that she was in someone's yard, as the horrified inhabitants stared at her from their window. The mother, in a nightgown, clutched a little boy to her side, shielding his eyes. What was the big deal? So she badly dressed and standing in snow in their front yard. So she was a little tipsy, sometimes that happened.
"WHA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-AT?" She shouted at them, throwing her arms out and shrugging her shoulders at the same time. The movement caused her to stumble a little, fall back on her bottom, and then scramble right back up. As if it had been their fault, she narrowed her eyes at the innocent child and ran one finger across her neck. It was time to move on, her point was made.

But where exactly was she headed to? Elsie didn't even know. She made a sharp left and plodded sloppily into a clearing -- maybe a little neighborhood part or something. She didn't even know.

"Ugh... where am I. This place is s-o-o-o-o-ooooo--" Kicking with her left foot, she sprayed a wave of snow across the ground, "it's s-o-o-o stupid!"

Opening the door in a hurry, Sanaa walked out from the front porch down the stairs off into the neighborhood. She was still in the middle of getting her coat on, as a pair of gloves were between her teeth. When she noticed something was missing not too long ago, Sanaa had first searched through the entire house looking for it. "Where is it? I couldn't have lost it! Could I?" At the possibility, she didn't even give her grandmother an explanation of where she was going at this hour when she left the house. "I'll be back soon!" She told her before she left.

"Was it over here? Or perhaps here?" Sanaa mumbled to herself as she was crouched over by some snow, using her hands to shove some of it away and hopefully unearth something from the confinement of the snow. Which after a few minutes, proved to be empty after all. Sighing dejectedly, she stood up and shook off the snow from her gloves. Where in the name of Goddess could it have gone? She was so sure she was tracing back her steps from earlier today just perfectly! But... So far she was having no luck at all, and now after digging into every patch of snow she thought might contain what she was looking for, the cold was starting to seep into her gloved hands. As she also accidentally got some of it in there while trying to clear away the darn white stuff.

There was still probably a few other areas she could still check, but searching for it herself at this rate was going to take too long. Disappointed, she kicked some of the snow in front of her. Unsure of what to do, she was beginning to pace back and forth. Eventually, she began to slow her pacing to a stop. Trying to clear her thoughts and determine her next course of action. Briefly, she decided to look up. To notice a woman was coming up the street, right then, she knew what she needed to do.

So to seize the opportunity, she stumbled out from the snow quickly to stop the woman. "U-Um. Excuse me!" She called out as she approached her. "I'm really sorry to bother you. But I was wondering if you could help me out?"
