Plump, round, such a deep red. A perfect specimen dangling just over the female's head. And yet here she was, dressed up all pretty with a strap-handle picnic basket slung over her shoulder. "Aww..." she groaned a bit, giving off a little pout. She hadn't exactly planned this out as well as she thought she had. With a sigh she plopped down upon the plaid blanket she had already spread over the ground, eyes firmly locked on the pomegranate overhead.

She had planned on having a picnic all by herself, making a simple recipe that she learned long ago and her grandmother helped her to prepare. All she needed was that one elusive little fruit just an arms-length up... Pity for her she couldn't grab it. Lifting her leg and bending forward she easily took the basket's strap between her toes and pulled it of, moving to set the container in front of her before gaze returned back up.

"That was going to be the best part..." she muttered, letting off another pout which, with her face, looked absolutely adorable and somewhat childish. A soft whine escaped her, stubs reaching up towards her wanted-prize. "Come to meeeeee...." she cooed, waving her little stubs causing the sleeves of her outfit to flop and sway about before eventually falling to her sides with a defeated huff. She frowned, now what was she going to do...

The last time she recalled going into the woods was what seemed like years ago when she met Brownie and nearly killed her and herself and got lost in the middle of the woods, but she didn't think of that meeting as boring. The fish attack made a nice touch to it though it nearly bruised her stomach for a few weeks. Aries didn't know why she was going to the woods exactly but just found herself walking there, maybe cause it was her favorite spot out of the whole place in Saffron. It wasn't as dark as the west woods, cause you could see in the east woods at least. The only thing she even brought with her was herself and a bag full of snacks in case she got lost again.

"Come to meeeeee...."

Hearing that, Aries turned her complete body and found her body swaying to the source of the sound happily as if she was just overjoyed by a proposal or her favorite toy that she had wanted just minutes ago been given to her as a gift by her parents or something. She saw a girl staring viciously at a fruit overhead and she found a thought of actually helping the girl, but it hit her.

Why was she not even grabbing it herself?

As she approached, she went straight to the next move and bent over and grabbed her by the waist. Even though she was sitting, it was a bunch easier to pick someone up when they where sitting down more than anything. Aries particularly put the girl higher than she needed to go to grab the fruit that her feet basically poked it. Aries laughed a bit joyfully and kept the girl hosted that high, she stared up and noticed she didn't even have ARMS.

"You need help getting it?" She asked a bit questionably now, now she was acting as if she was her older sister or something, she never liked teasing people who couldn't do things like her, and thought this girl wasn't the best to leave out here all alone, she was a bit glad she came out her now actually. Who knew what kind of guy would've found her out here, she was cute so that added to the fear to.

Miku was confused at first, suddenly finding herself to be lifted up into the air. Was she flying? It took her a moment before she looked down at her holder, tilting her head slightly before offering a bright smile. "Hiya!" she replied in a cheerful tone, looking back towards the fruit before snagging it between her feet.

"You need help getting it?"

She shook her head, plucking the pomegranate easily and holding it between her bare feet. "I got it!" she squealed happily, raising her stubs in triumph as she looked down at the girl holding her. Her face lit up as she beamed a smile, eyes glimmering a bit. "Thank you! I didn't really plan ahead when I was coming for a picnic! I didn't really think about the height of this! Now I can make my snack! It really wouldn't have been the same, you know, I mean this is the absolute best part of it! It gives small pockets of juicy sweetness! Of course, it would have been good already but now it'll even be better! OH YEAH!" she paused to take a breath, "I'm Miku Wakahisa, Nice Ta Meetchya!"

Well her reaction was a surely different reply, she had expected the girl to start kicking her as hard as possible, but that would've been hard cause then she would've fell and wouldn't be able to grab her, or Aries would have to try to be the matrix and quickly grab her before she broke her back like she had in her childhood. Aries smiled and decided it was rude not to reply back, "Hello!~" She smiled even wider now.

Looking up, she noticed the fruit between her feet and smiled, it wasn't everyday she met someone as nice as this girl, and she hardly knew her and she was already going to assume she was a nice girl instead of the rude type. Listening to her start talking Aries smiled brightly, she was obviously a talker and that was a second, Corri talked a little bit but not as much as this newfound chick, and she didn't think of it badly either. Hearing her pause, it was obvious she was taking a breathe. Aries could ramble forever before she had to take a breathe but did it anyways just in case. "I'm Miku Wakahisa, Nice Ta Meetchya!" Aries gleamed as she headed to her picnic set up and set her carefully back down onto the ground and took a seat right next to her on the grass. "Aries, Aries Mayfield. Nice to meet you in such a way." She laughed a bit, she hadn't meant it in a bad way though.

Her smile turned into a broad grin, setting the prize down on the blanket before turning her attention back to the girl. "You're really strong! That's awesome! And nice too, I mean you helped me get this! Do you wanna join me Aries? It's nice to have company! I mean, the only other people aside from Grandma I met at a festival -- they didn't really talk much though. And they looked at me funny, though I guess I was making a few jokes." she giggled, one foot moving skillfully to open her basket and beginning to pull out a bag o toasted baguette slices and two jars. One jar seemed to hold what appeared to be some sort of white cheese while the other seemed to be a mix of chopped up red onion and parsley.

"Tell me about yourself!" she said suddenly, smiling as she pulled out two glasses -- having brought an extra one i she had a mishap with the first. Once getting them settled she carefully pulled out a bottle of what appeared to be apple cider, shivering lightly with a giggle at the cold between her toes.

Crossing her legs as she straightened her back up and listened to her with a smile still implanted on her face, she couldn't help but giggle at the strong part. The poor girl must've felt awkward with the stares at the festival. "I wouldn't consider myself very strong actually, but people always say I am. Yeah the festival was nuts, so much fighting," She began laughing remembering it all, and then that one guy Adel. She couldn't help but sigh after the laugh at that. "I think people who stare like that are just mean." She said with a bit of a pout, she really didn't like people who stared actually. There was nothing wrong with her at all, Evangeline was slightly the same way with her Speech Disorder, but it didn't stop her, Miku was the same way almost!

Hearing her question, she watched her pull out two glasses and smiled. "Hmmmmm... Something about me?" She questioned herself, putting her finger to her chin as she thought. Smiling she sat up straight and put her hands on her knees, "I'm a handy woman, I'm taller than my parents, um......" She stopped for another brief moment and thought a little more. "Oh! I think Make-Up is a monster." She laughed a bit at that, but it was true actually. She hated make-up being touched around her face anyway of the year.

"I think people who stare like that are just mean."

"Hm? Oh I don't mind it really! I've gotten used to it and more often than not they don't even mean to be mean by it. They just never have seen it before! I just stay happy and be myself! They can choose for themselves if they like or dislike me for me, not for my arms. Though, I do wish some people weren't afraid of asking me about them. People trying to ignore them is what bothers me really. I mean, hellloooooo~ Armless girl here. Don't treat me different just ask me about them dang-it, I know you want to!" she giggled, pulling out now what looked like some sort of cutting board and a knife -- seeming to hold it rather expertly between her toes. She really has learned to overcome her disadvantage.

"I'm a handy woman, I'm taller than my parents, um......"
"Oh! I think Make-Up is a monster."

Miku laughed at this, grinning broadly afterward. "Both my parents were really tall, so I'm not really sure why I ended up short. Maybe I got my Grandmother's genes, she is only like.. half a foot taller than me. And I don't really like make up, it's a little difficult to put on and if people DO put it on me I kinda feel like a doll. In the bad way!" she giggled once more, placing the fruit on the cutting board before lining the knife up slowly over it. Once steadied her other foot curved over the top and guided the knife down to slice through the pomegranate before she merely set the knife aside -- wiped off some juice from one foot -- and dug out a spoon.

Aries aw'd, this girl was really something. Aries probably would've killed someone somehow if people stared at her oddly if she didn't have arms or legs or had no voice like Evangeline. "Your a really strong girl, my friend has a speech disorder and is easily discouraged when people stare at her like 'Why are you writing on a notepad' cause she doesn't know how to sign language. But it's not everyday I meet someone who doesn't get discouraged easily." She smiled a bit happily, she hoped to get to know her more now.

Aries watched her with interest as she started to make her preperations for her picnic and was pretty much amazed with the skills she had. Well, she didn't know how long she'd been living without arms so she couldn't judge, but she was awfully skilled. Aries couldn't even hold a spoon with her toes, that was just hard for her. "I think I got my height from my grandmother or grandfather. But my grandmother was in a wheel chair so I never knew. She had lived in a wheel chair ever since I was born so I never knew how tall she was actually." It had made her pretty curious of how tall her grandmother was, she had never seen her stand cause she had lost feeling into her legs so she couldn't walk and doctors never helped her. "I just cringe when people try to put make-up on. I may wear a dress or something girly, but if someone brings make-up near me, I'm like 'Pleasegetthatweirdstuffawayfrommelikerightnow'"

She beamed, grin broadening as she heard the compliment. "I try and be as strong as I can! And really? Who is your friend? It seems like someone I'd love to meet!" she replied cheerfully. She shifted a little, moving to hold one half of the pomegranate with one foot and beginning to scoop out the arils (the seeds basically) and make a pile of them on the cutting board.

"I think I got my height from my grandmother or grandfather. But my grandmother was in a wheel chair so I never knew. She had lived in a wheel chair ever since I was born so I never knew how tall she was actually."

She nodded slowly, listening as she continued her work.

"...'Pleasegetthatweirdstuffawayfrommelikerightnow'"

She blinked a few times before giggling. "I guess I don't really mind it, it is just weird though. I mean,why do people try and cover up what is already beautiful? OH!" her eyes flashed to Aries, [b}"What do you do for fun!?"[/b]

Staring at her as she took the compliment, she smiled largely. Obviously it wasn't a bad thing but it was kind of nice to see once in awhile. "Oh, her name is Evangeline. Hard to miss her, she's a bit short from my perspective." she joked innocently, but didn't know if Miku would find it funny so she tossed herself down into the grass and stared past the tree's.

"I'm a bit of a prankster and a daredevil you can say, so I usually like to take people hostage but not in a literal way." Aries laughed as she answered her question a bit honestly. At that moment a baby bird suddenly fell from the tree above and landed right on Aries's stomach. "OOF!" Well, that noise wasn't really necessary since it was just a baby, but than all of a sudden the bird chirped and hopped to her face and snuggled up. Blinking a few times she smiled a bit nervously.

"Isn't it my lucky day?"

"I love to go exploring! People say I am reckless sometimes but I don't care, it's fun!" she commented before blinking at the bird. "Oh dear... You should try not to touch it too much. The best thing to do is to put it in a safe, high up place you can and when the parents notice we are not a threat or when we leave they will continue to feed and care or it where we put it." she spoke, gaze turning back down to what she was doing before putting the last of the fruit into her basket.

Her gaze turned back to Aries, smiling as she watched the bird snuggle up to her. "Cuuuuute~"

Nodding her head to show she acknowledged her, she touched the bird briefly only for it to look at Aries through pleading eyes. Aries found her eyes lighting up with tears of saying awwww so loud in her mind. Standing up, she held the bird firmly in a cup in her hands and walked to the tree it had fell from and wrapped her arm around it only to start climbing.

Each branch she scanned carefully for the nest, none had been found a single inch of scanning. "There's not even a nest!" Aries yelled down to Miku, hoping she would know what to do cause this had been the first situation Aries had ever been with a baby bird. If she couldn't find it's mother sooner or later, she'd take the poor bird in! She couldn't stand the thought letting i just DIE!!

She tilted her head a bit before looking around the limbs, biting her lower lip a bit. "Just put it somewhere where it won't fall again and leave it. It's parents are around, we just can't see them. They will continue to feed it, don't worry. My mother taught me when I was little about it when I found a baby bird." she called, pulling out the toasted slices and opening the jars. She watched Aries a moment before her gaze fell down to the food, beginning to top each slice of bread with goat cheese, the chopped onion and parsley, and finally a scoop of the pomegranate seeds.

Shifting a bit she managed to force the bottle of sparkling apple cider open as well and pour them each a glass, scooping the last o the seeds equally into each glass before putting away all the extras and looking back up. "I have our snack ready too!" she cheered.

Aries nodded even though she most likely couldn't see her head nodding past tree leaves, going high she put the bird on the top branch, only to hear the sound of a bird. 'Caw Caw!' the sound was very clear from where she was standing, quickly she climbed down and threw herself at the floor next to Miku just to hear her talk about their snacks being ready.

Smiling, she finally pushed herself off the ground and sat down next to her with her legs crossed. Staring it curiously, she finally wondered what it was. She had obviously never seen this type of food even though she had particularly lived with her mother who was a cook for many restaurants and became a baker, she had never seen this. Though it looked like a sandwich.

"If you don't mind me asking, what is it? Never seen anything like it!"

She beamed brightly, lifting a slice up with her toes as she moved it towards her mouth. "It's an Autumn Bruschetta!" she replied, giggling a little before taking a bite. Her eyes lit up before shutting tight, waving her stubs as she gave a little body wiggle as if dancing as she chewed. Once swallowed her eyes reopened to look at Aries. "It's Delicious!"

"It's an Autumn Bruschetta!" Aries nodded a bit as she coo'd like a child did when they saw their favorite animal wandering around. Popping her back, she whined quietly to herself as it let out a deathly crack, hopefully it didn't affect her anytime soon or that would be kind of dooming at the moment. Just imagine it, she wouldn't be able to move and she'd have to have six hundred people carry her home, she wasn't referring to her height because of it, but her height made her seem slightly heavier than she really was supposed to be. Rubbing her back smoothly, she sighed and smiled back at Miku. She wasn't planning on eating, but her stomach said otherwise in her opinion. Her opinion didn't matter if she had a stomach cause it would just reject every thing she lied about not wanting. Especially when it came to food.

Grabbing her sandwich, she stared at it for a moment, "It's delicious!" with that said, she was sure she should take a bite. She had lived with a professional cook (in her opinion) and now she got to taste this new food she had NEVER heard of in her life, how bad could it be!? It's not like she was going to spit it all over Miku's face in a dramatic "EW GET IT OFF MY TONGUE!" Play or anything at least... She hoped so. Nearing it towards her mouth, she took a large bite as she chomped it together in various patterns and smiled. She got an oddly juicy flavor in her mouth, but she didn't even know what was in the sandwich so she couldn't say exactly what that 'juicy' tasty flavor was.

"Mmmm, it's good." Aries smiled, her mouth still slightly full but her hand was cupped over her mouth just so she didn't disgust her or anything. Plus her mother always got slightly angry if she was to speak with her mouth open, the same with her school back in the city. Her school was awfully strict and if you were caught eating with your mouth full, they'd do the old fashioned trick to make children stop. They'd make you put your fingers on the edge of the desk and then smack it with a ruler really hard, the thing wasn't even outlawed in the city she lived in despite a lot of cities not allowing teachers to do that anymore. Of course, she still kept those manners of not eating with her mouth open since going up with stinging red fingers wasn't very fun.

Of course, what was better than meeting a new person who had a special self confidence in themselves? Your mother deciding to barge in on the parade. Of course, Aries's mom was a special type of mother that came from another galaxy, she was firmly sure her mother was NOT from planet earth herself, she was probably a 6,000 year old martian or something. "Hey there pumpkin!" She yelled not far behind, her glasses pushed onto her face and her long brown hair combed firmly against her face, her light blue eyes shining in the sunlight. She was wearing a white laced dress that went to her knee's and a sun hat farmers would use on a hot summers day to keep the sun from her face. Of course, she wore her white flats. Sometimes Aries wonder how she kept her white clothing so clean. Aries quickly turned her face away from her mother only to feel her lean on her shoulder, using her elbow as she rested her cheek in her palm.

"Nice to meet you there, one of my pumpkins friends?" She giggled and grabbed Aries's cheek before pulling it a bit teasingly and laughed even more. Aries loved her mother, but she always had this thing about grabbing peoples cheeks and it was a bit weird in they're perspective, but Aries didn't mind it all that bad since her cheeks never really got hurt from all the pulling damage with how chubby they where in her eyes. Aries smiled at Miku and than began to introduce them. "This is Miku wa-ka-hi-sa," she had a little trouble pronouncing her last name, but she tried her best at least. Of course, she would hopefully correct Aries if she did mess up herself, "This is my mother, Swan."

She was pleased that her little snack was good, finishing off her own that she had snagged between her toes. She giggled a little at the sight of Aries covering her mouth as she spoke, realizing she couldn't return the favor and deciding to keep quiet as she finished chewing and swallowing. It was only moments later as her toes had brought her glass of sparkling cider to her lips did another voice catch her attention.

"Hey there pumpkin!"

Miku placed her glass back down as she looked over slightly confused. She blinked a few times as a rather pretty woman approached them and proceeded to love on Aries. She couldn't help but giggle as Aries' cheeks were tugged upon, one stub raising up to give a little wave to the new woman. Miku nodded slightly as she was spoken to and smiled as they were introduced. "Yep! I'm Miku Wakahisa, Nice ta meetchya~ I just met Aries! It's a pleasure to meet you, Swan." she beamed brightly.

Swan beamed brightly at the girl and nodded, so Aries just had one question on her mind now. Why was she even here? "Mom, why are you here anyways?" Aries asked politely, hoping not to receive the wrong idea. Not that she didn't mind her here, but it wasn't everyday her mother ran out of the house all dressed up as if she was going on a date with her father but only to come to Aries alone. It really struck her. "You left and forgot this," She laughed as she held up one of Aries's tiny bags of food that she had forgotten halfway through to the woods before she pet Miku. She had thought of going back home to grab it, but when she heard the voice she knew if she went back then she would've lost her chance to meet someone.

"Thank you mom." Aries smiled before looking back at Miku, instead her mother just plopped down next to Aries and she eyed her the evil look. Her mother just giggled and pulled her cheeks as far as possible only to let them loose to replace the shape they once had. "Well I guess you'll get to know my mother to Miku."

She didn't seem to really mind as the woman joined them, pointing at the snack with a toe. "Help yourself Ma'am!" she beamed, taking another drink of her glass. Her gaze would shit to the bag, a tilt of her head adding to her slightly confused look. She took a moment to swallow after nibbling on a piece of the pomegranate, offering another smile afterward. "What is that?" she asked, nodding towards the bag.

"Well I guess you'll get to know my mother to Miku."

"Oh that's fine! It's always nice to know people!" she replied, giggling a bit afterward.

Swan smiled brightly as she was given the permission to help herself and gladly took one of the snacks with a bow of the head, "Thank you Miku!" She smiled before taking a bit bite out of it and making that noise a lot of people did to show they deeply enjoyed it, her eyes closing with a broad smile on her face. Aries turned towards her mother who pulled her cheek once more and Aries giggled a bit as it slightly tickled for the oddest reason for some reason.

"What is that?" Resuming attention to Miku, she turned and smiled at her happily. "It's a granola bar, want one?" She smiled, reaching into the bag only to grab one and open the wrapped only to bite into it, putting it down she took another bite of her sandwich happily before grabbing another one of the granola bars open and handing it over to Miku.

Swan beamed brightly as she heard her claim it was fun, Aries did the same and smiled largely, Swan was obviously the type to enjoy meeting new people that Aries met also, she was often trying to get along with the younger generation and she didn't even look like a 45 year old at least, that was her opinion in the very least. She looked almost like a 18 year old, her height only helped it more. "Well, My mother is like me you could say. We both enjoy to joke around and play pranks." She admitted the prank part a bit more quickly than the joking part.
