This is for anybody interested in establishing a relationship with Mr. Thaddeus. Since I want him to be an eternal staple of the town, I really want to try and flesh out his relationship with some of the other locals.
The only thing I'm trying to avoid is any relationship bordering on positive. He's an angry, evil old man, and I doubt many people would find his presence to be very enjoyable. If you have any thoughts or questions on your character's relationship with Mr. Thaddeus, by all means reply to this thread or drop me a PM.

I see as children Bonnie and Colette giving him trouble. Like, ANY DARE worth it's salt would deal with something about Mr. Thaddeus' house. "Dare you to throw a rock at his window", "Dare you to TP his yard", "Dare you to ding-dong-ditch Mr. Thaddeus' house." etc. I see a lot of the troublesome children from back then giving him a LOT of crap. He probably recalls them from back in the day and can't stand them, and they probably fear/hate/arewaitingforhimtodie.

I'm thinking that Sawyer was f-ing terrified of him as a kid. Probably Ian (cause he's awesome) dragged him along to try and egg the man's house or something, but I definitely see Sawyer just being absolutely horrified that the old man is still alive. Mr. Thaddeus is the thing of Sawyer's nightmares.
WHICH MEANS THEY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO MEET AT SOME POINT.

Considering Sora is fairly new to the area, I imagine that she wouldn't believe the stories about the Terrible Mr. Thaddeus. Until she met him, of course. Then again, Sora may just declare her one goal in life to be to get Thaddeus to smile for once. In any way possible, no matter how much it annoys him.
Thomas, while he is also new, would be very very very afraid of Thaddeus. Like, would cross the street to avoid passing his shop or would calmly gtfo of any room Thaddeus was even mentioned in. Also, Thom has an insane fascination with the mental problems of his granddaughter, which would make things even worse.
ohgod mr. thaddeus. i vaguely remember seeing his past character incarnate on vom (i was mostly just a lurker) and he is AWESOME. anywaysplotting.
ZULEIKA + MR. THADDEUSshe's the only one of my characters who comes from the island. ran away at the dumb and easily-influenced age of 15, just came back recently at 20. i imagine she was drop-dead terrified of him as a child and tried to avoid any scenario in which they would have to talk to each other. she was a bit of a brat, and i can imagine him having chewed her out a bunch. also can totally see her with colette and bonnie being dared to do things involving him/his house.
