One of the easiest ways to become an Iron knight is to be helpful to new people come to the game. That was how Hojo gained favour with the gods. He was very helpful to initiates during guild wars and was rewarded with a title as he was then guildless. It is also a good thing to post alot in the main DG forums so the gods get to notice you.
