We need a new game, and I can't see Hotel 3 going anywhere, so... welcome to Hunter and Hunted!

This game is very simple. The game takes place in a regular village. When (if) the game starts, I'll give you a map of the village so you know where everything is.

You are given a target to kill. Upon killing them, you are given their target, and so on and so forth. If you kill someone who isn't your target, you are given a penalty of some sort and someone else gets YOU as a target, so the idea is to be the last one standing by killing the others.

This takes place using actions, but unlike Hotel and Killer, you have stats as well. You have agility, strength, intelligence and many other stats which determine how certain situations go. Before you start the game, you are given a base set of stats, and then a certain amount of points to put in stats to make your character unique. You'll also get to choose your clothing for other logistic things.

Of course, this is a village, which is the main thing to make the game (hopefully) interesting. There are townspeople; NPCs, if you will; which will, obviously, react to you murdering someone and go after you. Your fellow players may frame you or tip off the police, meaning you have to be very careful about your kills.

You can also buy things off the townspeople. You can steal too, but that could end in disaster. How do you get money? Simple; every action, you are given $5. Every kill you make, you are given $25. You start with $15. This gives players the incentive to go out and kill others, rather than just sit back and do nothing and kill the last player.

tl;dr version: you're in a town, you have stats, you have to kill targets 'till you win

So, anyone interested? I can do Hotel 3 if people would rather have that, or Darkie could do something. Sign up below!

I'm not gonna do anything for a while. I'm in the school play, scholastic bowl, and track is about to start, so I'd fall way far behind and Civility any game I tried to host.

Or play.

Aw, that's a shame. You're usually one of the best players we have. School and whatever is more important, of course, so we'll hopefully have you back to host something soon... xP

I'll play. Do you only want four players in the game, or did you only number through four because you didn't know how many to expect?

The four was a rough estimate/minimum requirement. The max is around fifteen, I guess.

Milk also expressed interest in chat, so if you guys could spread this round that'd be cool =D

Also, uh, I don't know if you have everything worked out for how the game will work, but if not then I think something like Fallout 1 & 2's (and other games too I guess) combat system could work well for this. You get X amount of points per turn. Each tile you move is one point, and different weapons/items cost different amounts of points. Say you have ten points, and a gun that takes 4 points to shoot. That would mean you could move two spaces and shoot twice, six spaces and shoot once, or any other combination you can think of that doesn't exceed ten.

Of course if two people are on opposite sides of the map and you say "Attack Bob" and you can run up and attack I guess that works too.

The system I had thought of was kinda like that. You got a certain amount to move every turn in terms of squares and, if you're hurt, you move less. I hadn't considered weapons taking points, though. The idea was that certain movements/actions are tied into certain stats, and then from my end I would use an RNG or something to see if that action succeeded or failed. You'd have a fairly good chance of everything to avoid people being annoyed, but it means that, unlike Hotel, everyone is skilled in one area or average in all rather than amazing at everything they do.

For example, if you went to stab someone, you'd have to RNG for your Strength and Agility to see if you manage to hit them or whatever. If you're injured or you have heavy clothes/stuff weighing you down, you have a smaller chance of hitting. On the other hand, the heavy clothes have more places to conceal things such as a knife, whereas light clothes mean everything's basically out in the open.
