30 year old bisexual nondenominational minister and part time handy man.

Meet Vincent. He's an eccentric Nondenominational Minister with a hard past. He wouldn't say he is much of a care giver. In fact he's pretty bad at it. He's almost a gypsy in nature, and tends to spend only a few years in one place before wandering to the next town for more work. He cusses, smokes, and drinks. In fact on the outside he certainly doesn't look like your run-of-the-mill holy man. He had his come to jesus moment twice. He just didn't hear it right the first first time. It took a bullet to the head to get it right, and he's decided to take on the hardest cases known to god. He doesn't want the sheep. He wants the dirty ones. The stained souls. He wants to walk through the gutters and meet the drug addicts. Most importantly, he isn't even there to convert them. Religion isn't for everyone. What he's there for is giving a little guidance. Maybe instill new morals into the worst the world has to offer. It isn't easy, and he isn't always successful. That doesn't matter. What matters is that someone is reaching out for the most rejected of mankind.

Not that he won't make friends on the way. He's come to Mariet now, opened up a little store front church in Juniper, and street races on the back roads to make money for the church. He works odd jobs around town to make money for himself, and occasionally volunteers to help with charity. He's a good man under that gruff exterior. He's just not the soft and squishy type you normally think of where god is involved.

Hi Kat,

As promised I managed to figure out which charcater to show to Vincent and its Chika. Only because I was actually seeing them together while reading his profile. :)
So anyway I have a thread idea and I hope you like it. If you don't then you can change it or tweak it any way you want. So here it is:

Since he has a little church on Juniper I was wondering if that would be a nice place to meet. Since her parents were always mean to her she feels like God looked out for her by sending Kastha, her brother, to her. So she thanks God out loud and Vince happens to hear it.

Its a rough idea of what can happen between them but I hope it makes some sense.

Iska! That sounds great! I'm sure vince would find it interesting that chika has a friend in god. He'd probably try to encourage her to volunteer at the church and help out the homeless that come in. When it rains they come wandering in for shelter. In the winter months he sometimes buys them blankets and helps sew holes in the old ones. He's a giver.. just a very gruff sort of guy. not exactly nice. not exactly mean.

Okay! must have something here. I think Jara would probably have an issue with him being a whole 'nondenominational' pastor, she doesn't think that's the answer, of course, but I could see her also finding him a bit attractive ,therefore having that whole, eek awkward situation. That's all my little head can think of at the moment, but, ...something should be here and happen. x

I can't think of a particular plot thread idea but I'd like to see these two in a thread just to see how they would interact. I easily see him stumbling across his church, or just anywhere at random due to his errand-centric phase of getting things done in a new town. Idk. Just tossing it out there.

What if they meet eachother while Vince is walking the alleyways at night?

Lorenzo could be walking around to get a feel for the city on foot and run into vince, mistaking him for a drug dealer or a druggy himself.

That works. He'd hate to be the officer who knows absolutely nothing about the city-scape/layout so going around on foot on his free time works. Also it sounds ace, and a good way for him to get to know the locals even if he's misunderstanding everyone. I don't mind starting the thread if you don't want to/are still away.
