I really suck at these introduction things, but it’s here, so I figure I should get around to actually putting one up. Where to start….let’s see…I joined Soulmate back when it was on Acornrack (I think it was about January of 2010 maybe it was February :\ I can’t remember anymore ><), My first character was Geneva Podolski, followed by Damali Lupei, and as such they have been around the longest. I’m a bit of a character addict, but I also tend to get overwhelmed quickly with multiple characters which then makes me very unhappy. I’m hoping that it won’t happen if I pace myself properly. At any given time I have a bunch of ideas, but I am doing my best version of self control (which I apparently have very little of ><).
I love to plot, really, and the more sadistic the plots are the happier I am about them (yeah I’m odd). My favourite to mess around with are Damali and Kira (at the moment). I really am willing to give just about anything a shot so hit me up with whatever you want. I am not a huge fan of smut posts, particularly smut posts that aren’t plot related (or character related aka certain characters are more likely to have coitius than others). That being said, if you give me a heads up before we start that it’s where you want it to go I’ll probably be more than happy to accommodate, however, if you don’t ask me first and your character just starts to strip, well, I can’t promise you that my character won’t get distracted by their own socks and wander away. Basically just ask me first, k thx bai. There is also nothing wrong with the occasional fade to black (it's classy sometimes ;) )
If you are waiting for me to post, most of the time I post in order that I find them. Sometimes I don’t have muse and might have to skip to a character I do have muse for, sometimes I just have no muse at all and either don’t post or I post somewhat shorter or shitter posts (to be honest I think most of my posts suck <<). Oh, I’m also super slow at updating my history boards because I find it a pain in my butt (aka it takes me forever :|)
I’m a really big nerd, like seriously big nerd. I love Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings (though the movies held my attention more than the books sorry :\). I love crime dramas (Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU, NCIS, CSI, Flashpoint, etc), and also shows like Supernatural and Lost Girl. As for movies I’m really into Horror, Action, Suspense, etc. Disney and Romantic Comedies really don’t do much for me. While I liked old Disney, I’m definitely not into a lot of the new stuff (mostly because I think Disney is evil).
As for music I have a very eclectic taste, I love Rise Against, Taylor Swift, Josh Groban, Simple Plan, Marianas Trench, The Veronicas, My Chemical Romance (esp their older stuff), Sarah McLachlan, Vanessa Carlton, um yeah I’ve definitely forgot some, but psh you get the idea. I don’t like rap (except for maybe one or two songs) and I’m not a huge fan of heavy metal or hiphop. Most of the time with music it’s the lyrics that mean the most to me so if I can’t understand wtf they are saying I don’t really see the point (that being said I do like some foreign language stuff even though I don’t really understand it).
As for books I don’t read for pleasure much during the school year but when I do read for fun it tends to be urban fantasy (Kim Harrison is one of my favourite authors). While I’ll try other books I’m the type of reader that if a book doesn’t catch my interest in the first like chapter or so, I will stop reading. I can’t stand reading books that don’t have a lot of action in them.
I also play video games (though again not that often) and some of my favourites are Minecraft, Fable, Force Unleashed, Star Trek Voyager the Elite Force, Grand Theft Auto (though honestly I epic fail at it and give up easily and just drive the car around for hours), the Sims, um what else um I tend to like RPGs or Adventures, though I would say a great deal of games never hold my attention long enough for me to actually play them from start to finish.
What else…I’m an Aries (if you are into that sort of thing XD), I’m going to be finishing up my BA degree this year (hopefully, if my University stops cancelling the classes I need D<). I’m a major in Religious Studies (read: world religions, this is NOT theology! I was focusing on eastern religions but now I would say I focus on women in world religions if only because there is no longer an eastern relig prof at my uni, and because the majority of my essays have involved something about female in that topic/religion/etc). My minor is political science (a choice I now regret but I’m officially done my minor so it’s a little late now). I don’t know what I’m doing after so yeah don’t ask. I might do a masters, but I definitely need some time off, I’m tired of school.
I am Canadian, specifically I’m from Alberta. Gildra is obviously not my real name, but I’m cool if you call me that. My birthday is April 12 and I’m 22 years old now. I think most people would describe me as friendly, nice, funny, etc. Though that being said I get sort of loopy under stress (which tends to happen toward the end of term lawls). I have an older brother who will be getting married Feb 2012 in Mexico and I’m looking forward to that. I’m forever alone…um I mean single (truthfully it doesn’t bother me XD). I don’t drink that often but when I do I prefer coolers, shots, or a good old rum and coke.
I love chocolate (which is why I really love the five minute cake in a mug from bacon concentrate (seriously it’s a badass recipe). My favourite comedian is Eddie Izzard (I loves him very much), and I really love Russell Peters as well.
I have AIM and MSN (but I won’t post them, you’ll have to ask/get to know me first). I also have tumblr (again I won’t post it but if you get to know me I might share it :3). I also have skype but I really really really have to know you well first firstly because it’s very close to my real name, and secondly because I’m so freaking awkward on skype that I just avoid it.
