Sin City Wrestling
Instruction Booklet
________________________
Welcome to Sin City Wrestling, entertainment’s top draw. We are a continuously evolving company, built on the foundation of a 4+ year-solid federation, and we come to you LIVE each week from the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
You think you got what it takes to hang with the best of the best? Read on and find out.
Mission Statement
Our goal is to become the internet’s premiere E-fed and wrestling site. Handler talent, storyline execution, and revolution of the genre will have us at the top of the game. We’ve already been named to the E-fed Knights and RoughKut Hall of Fames in 2009!
Recruiting
We’re always looking for new talent to be given a chance to shine. Fill out our application and submit it, if you got what it takes. If your accepted, you can register on the boards and start RPing right away.
NOTE: As far as the sample RP part of the app is concerned, any new or previously-written promo will do. But we are judging your talent based on it, so send us something you’re proud of.
The way we see it: If you won’t roleplay to get in, what makes us think you’ll roleplay once you’re here?
Format
Our current product is one weekly show with a PPV event every 6 to 8 weeks.
The weekly show is Wildcard, every Wednesday night from our home base in Las Vegas. Pay Per Views will in various locations outside Las Vegas. Each will be independently named with the exception of our flagship PPV, Cancun Clash, which kicks off every March in Cancun, Mexico.
Our format is always subject to change as our roster expands and contracts and what have you.
RPing and posting in general
This is pretty common sense, and our moderators err on the side of freedom of speech and creative license. Our roster isn’t afraid to cross the line of controversy thus if you’re someone who might be offended by certain topics, feel free to discuss any possible worries with staff or your current opponent.
There is a minimum requirement of one roleplay per week if for no other reason there creative involvement. There is a loosely enforced three RP maximum for Wildcard, but there is no PPV RP limit, and all handlers are free to RP in the “Character Development” forum as often as they like especially if you’re not booked for a week.
Booking
This is pretty common sense too. We don’t care if you’re the champion of every other fed on the internet, you’re going to work your way up the card same as anyone else. We sometimes hold special incentive events for title opportunities, and you’re welcome to participate. But if you complain about not getting the push you think you deserve, we’ll make you wait even longer and watch with our tongues hanging out as you whine.
As stated above, there is a one RP per week minimum. If not booked, you may be asked to provide an in-ring promo as a scheduled segment of the card. We pride ourselves in working together and creating great storylines to go with the title feuds, which often times some of our grudge matches end up the bigger draw because of the work that goes into the story.
Results
Think of it as quality over quantity. Winners and loser will be decided by any combination of the following elements. Storyline arc, roleplay ability, creative consistency, special request, and/or storyline necessity. These elements are in some ways obviously hierarchical, but all are important. If you ever should fail to understand our decision regarding results, please take it up with staff and do not publicly whine because that’s pathetic and sad.
No Shows
While we recognize and respect that these characters are your creation, the front office staff reserves the right to use your characters for the creation, promotion, and execution of product. What we mean is this: If you no-show without warning us, you’re going to job to your opponent. If you AND your opponent no-show, you’re both going to lose. In addition to this, you may be booked to put another wrestler over the following week as well. If, after two weeks of losing, you feel inclined to drop us a line and explain where you’ve been, you can start working your way up the roster again.
We realize that real life comes first, but it doesn’t take but two seconds to shoot us a heads up and you’re not available for a week. There are too many other people counting on the show to go on to let blatant lack of consideration bring it to a halt. Of course, as with all things, there are exceptions to this rule, and they will be handled on a case-by-case basis. We have an availability forum to give us advanced notice if you’re going to need time off and we’re happy to work with you.
Anything we missed?
Questions, concerns and clarifications may at all times be addressed with SCW staff.
Complaints, formal or otherwise, should be PMed (and PMed only!) to either M.D.K. or Doug E Fresh. We’d prefer you PM Doug as not to burden our head booker if it happens to be nonsense. Any outright complaints, spamming, non-mutually-beneficial promoting, or potentially-morale-demeaning posts will be promptly deleted and most-probably ignored due to annoyance.
The reason for this is simple: In our business, handlers seem to come and go, but at the end of the day, there is a core of individuals who keep the fed alive.
Trust that we will never intentionally bury your character, and that we always have the best intentions of the fed in mind. We want you to be a part of this and submit ideas and storylines. If you just want us to book you and run with it, that’s what we’ll do.
And of course, above all else, have fun. Both the fed itself and your individual role within it are entirely what you make them.
Welcome. Good luck. Keep it Wicked. And enjoy.
Sincerely,
SCW Staff
