Entrance

The lights in the arena die out, plunging everything into darkness and bringing the audience alive with a chorus of boos and jeers. An elderly male voice begins to speak as if into the ears of each and every fan. As he does, static slowly overwhelming the SinTron. Between flashes, scenes of death and despair take place. Corpses of animals rapidly decay, homes are wiped away but the force of explosions, and family members hold their lost loved ones in tears.

"People say......that God is dead......but how can they think that....if I show them the Devil?"

A heavy strike of the guitar shatters the silence as "DEATH MACHINE: INITIATE" takes of the Tron, making way for the vicious scream of "I KNOW A GHOST!" to blast over the speaker system. Orange and Green spotlights flash on and off all over the arena in random intervals to the soul-sheering guitars of "Danger: Wildman" by The Devil Wears Prada, a ring of flood lights activating around the entrance curtain. From the shadows emerges Devin Hearst, a look of pure hatred across his face just as the static returns to the tron, Devin's name in a wild black font flashing in random locations among the chaos. He stands at the top of the entrance ramp, glaring down to the ring with his thickly blackened eyes underneath black aviator shades before running his thumb across his neck and throwing his hand into the air with his thumb and index finger extended. He charges down the ramp, each step swaying his black sleeveless vest and cargo shorts back and forth. Devin storms up the steps at ringside and onto the apron, walking across and climbing up to the outside-middle rope. He thrusts his hand into the air again in the gun-shape, letting out a war cry before jumping into the ring, pacing back and forth.

Fan Interaction

Devin tends to simply stare at, or rather through, the fans at ringside. If having an episode of rage, Devin will commonly yell and threaten fans.

Background Info
Biography/Upbringing/Influences

Not much is known about the past of Devin Hearst, outside the noted documentations about his childhood. It was a shock when Devin was taken from his home in Amityville, New York after reports of abuse rang out against both of his parents based on the scratches and bruises that covered Devin's body each day. His parents remained strong in their beliefs of their innocence, but the proof was in plain sight. If they didn't cause harm to their son, who did?

Devin did not end up on record until a few months later inside a children's home on the outskirts of Buffalo, New York. Suspicions had left faculty under the impression that Devin suffered from severe Paranoia and Schizophrenia, most likely developed by his tragic life at home. He wouldn't speak to anyone, but would carry conversations in his room on his own. Other children would report hearing footsteps and strange noises as they tried to sleep at night, some even claiming to see Devin himself standing the middle of rooms, just starring ahead. The faculty simply brushed this off to sleep walking............until the injuries started up. Similar to Devin's own at the hands of what the courts claimed was his parents; this was the sign that, as the group Physician jokingly wrote, "Is the first sign of a serial killer". They brought in multiple Psychiatrists and Psychologists, each analyzing Devin and returning with the same results. He was fine. He showed the same mental workings as a boy his age would. The workers were speechless to the findings, but something had to be done. Unable to pursue any legal action against the small child, the overall consensus came to locking Devin in his room from the outside when not being monitored closely. While effective for some odd weeks, one night Devin simply disappeared. His door was unlocked, as well as the front door which he walked out of. This left his former guardians baffled. How did he manage to undo locks on the other side of a door? Was he assisted? If so, by who? The investigation continued, but to no conclusion.

The calendar skips ahead by years and note of Devin appeared, not by official documentation, but by word of mouth in the city of New York. 19-yearS-old Devin had made it by day by day on the streets, living out of the trash, the whole nine-yards as they say, when he was picked up by a man of the higher-class with an interesting proposal. He offered Devin a job, to fight in a less-than-legal arrangement with others in his predicament, the winners receiving a decent payday. Added to this, his new employer would allow him to take shelter in his home, at the cost of victory, of course. The promise of money was enough for him to throw his safety aside and fight for the entertainment of the bourgeoisie, and eventually became more to him than just being a violent type of clown. It became his life, his art. It was the first thing in life that he felt accepted, appreciated even. It was the place where he could do the only thing he could ever do right, hurt people. He spent any time not strengthening his body to strengthen his mind, or rather what was left of it under his control. He found peace in books and philosophy, as well as the occasional cigarette that kept his mind busy, but it was his study of fighting styles that made him lethal. He noticed the patterns in most opponents, their lacking of guard against their legs. Devin would use this to his advantage, breaking opponents with the use of submissions. Technique in a run-of-the-mill bum fight was something unheard of, gaining Devin a following under the nickname "The Wildman". It was a comfy life, that is, until the events started happening. Eye-witnesses swear to everything from temperature change to electrical failure, even audible and visual occurrences that they could not explain all happening in the presence of Devin. Some went so far as to call him "cursed" or even "Demon Spawn", which only aided the hype. Word went out west to the ears of a man interested in Devin's brand of skills, sending scouts to his next match. After being approached by said scouts, Devin was brought to Los Angeles to meet this mysterious "X-Man" they told him about, and his proposal to represent him as an employee of "X-Man Productions" in the sport of professional wrestling.

Mentality / Personal Traits / World View

. While there is no scientific explanation as to why, Devin suffers from a catatonic mental and emotional state. At any second Devin's mood can change, his tone can rise or fall, he can go berserk, or he can be overcome with emotion. While a total breakdown is very rare, if provoke it will certainly happen. More than likely Devin will be in a foul mood, but there is the rare occasion that he is happy and all but normal.

. Devin holds severe trust issues due to his history of being the blame to serious accusations. He is the pictured loner, not by choice, but by circumstance.

. Devin is constantly in a state of shifting fear and love for the individual he simply calls "Them".

. Surprisingly Intelligent. While he is indeed a school dropout, Devin has spent his every free opportunity studying fighting-styles from around the world, and the works of some of the world's most prestigeous authors.

. Despite his reputation, Devin has great pride in what he does. He may be strange and unorthodox in and out of the ring, but inside the blackened corridors of his mind is the heart of a true warrior.

. Devin's mentality allows him to access strength and endurance not normally found in a man. This is not due to outside forces or other fantastic explanations other than the fact that he simply cannot quit. He feels pain the same as anyone else, but the will to win and to hurt his opponent will more than likely push him forward.

. It is possible that under the animal-like character there is a small boy, crying out for someone to give him a permanent home. This is shown by his abandonment issues that he makes no attempt in hiding.

. Has a great love of Horror Movies, which can be seen in his promotional work

. As a result of his distrust and downright hate of people who intrude on his personal life, Devin films all of his promotional work himself, sending it to Xander Krane to publish, not edit.
