Samuel L. Jackson's voice, quoting his famous line from Pulp Fiction, comes over the speakers: “And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee." The passage is followed by gun shots and then opens up into the instrumental version of “Still Dre” by Dr. Dre. At the start of the music, Atreides pushes his way through the entrance curtain. He wears a black, straight-brim baseball hat, with a skull and crossbones on it, cocked to one side hanging over reflective aviator sunglasses. The crowd boos and hisses at him, as Atreides extends his arms mockingly before taking a feigned swing at a small child in the front row. Atreides climbs the steps onto the apron with a bit of a swagger, wiping his feet before stepping into the ring where he scales the nearest turnbuckle striking the Superman pose with a smug look across his face.

Atreides is a relatively typical cocky wrestler, but with a sort of counter-culture/punk-rock edge. Atreides is an average guy that just seems to be cursed. His wife cheats on him. His baby daughter died in a car accident. He never knew his father and his mother is deceased. But instead of wallowing in self-pity and melancholy, Atreides faces the world with a devil-may-care attitude that mixes equal parts narcissism and violence.
