I think it's the orange powder left on your hands. It's like a symbol: "Hey guys, I wanted to snack so bad I'm willing to get everything I touch a greasy coating."

Some other snacks do that, but they aren't nearly as visible.

That being said, I haven't thought about Cheetos as in particular the lowest form of snack food, but I group in into the lowest category of 'chips'.

I only heard about Slenderman a month or two ago and now I seem him all over the place and everyone suddenly seems to know who he is. In Newgrounds, forums, on toonami, you tube, etc. Is this like a psychological thing, like I didn’t notice him before because I wasn’t looking for him, or is he suddenly a fad?

There seem to be way too many Slenderman/My Little Pony fanfics.

Fortuitiously I have so far avoided getting a clue what this is all about. Please let me keep it that way.

I only saw the one of those thus far, but they make all kinds of crazy 'series which shall not be named' fanfics.

Name any series and there's a crossover, any pony that appeared in the background for more than two seconds and they have a fanfic (if not a sub-fandom), any combination of two ponies has been shipped (and most combinations of three or more), any celebrity in the real world and they have a fanfic about them going to Equestria, any historial event and the ponies have re-enacted it, any setting and they've been there and every movie, novel, short story or song has had a ponified fanfic versin of it.

Every pony has a story about them going insane and killing everyone, A story about them dieing randomly, a story about them being a secret changling, at least 50 stories about them going to the real world and 50 more about being turned into humans or turning humans into ponies, a story about them falling in love with an inanimate object (most likely a sink), a story deconstructing what it means to be a fictional character, a sory where they get amnesia, ect, ect, ect,. And then there are spinoffs of fanfics and spinoffs of the fanfic spinoffs!

So really I'm not suprised that Slenderman is in there too.

Anyway...

I know where Slenderman came from, I'm just surpried that I'm seeing him so often. A third option is that maybe the Slenderman curse IS real and we're all going to die? It is getting close to December 2012 and those end-of the world guys have a perfect 0-12,000 track record!

I was going to guess the resurgence of Slenderman stuff was because of the game, but I guess that's almost a year old now?

In any case, I recommend watching splendor man.

It's that feeling you get when it's 3am and Slenderman, Jeff the Killer and what's her face from the ring are arguing over who gets to kill you and then that guy comes out of nowhere and asks if you need a sweater.

Anyone else lose power back on Halloween? Mine was out for a week! Craaazy. Everyone else in town had theirs except me and two other houses, though. The electric company kept messing with me too. They’d send guys to sit next to the down wire for hours and not do anything. Once they had 6 trucks and 14 guys over there for 6 hours without even attempting to fix it.

Huh, this is the first I've heard of that. My electricity stayed on fine. It sounds like it was a local thing since they sent so many people out to sit around. =T

Well there was this hurricane in NY... and that's where I am. A lot of people lost power over here, just not right next to me.
