As you may notice on the front pages of the sites, I've decided to put AE and CRB on official hiatus until February. Lately, I just can't find the motivation to do much of anything productive outside of work, let alone ante up the mental effort to write and draw the two comics.

I have no intention of abandoning them, but I think I need to just not think about them for a little while to muster up a bit more desire to work on them. So to put an arbitrary date on it, I've settled on the beginning of February as being the next time I'll think about drawing a new page. Hopefully that'll be more than enough to revitalize my creative spirit.

Of course, the forum will still be alive in the meantime. Heck, I'll probably post more now that I've gotten the monkey of guilt over not updating off my back.

I am having webcomic hiatus flashbacks. D: Especially of RPG World.

But yeah, taking a month off is reasonable, especially since you have a job. I'm just glad that there's now an 'official' hiatus rather than the waiting around we've had previously.

Yeah, as much as I'd like to keep thinking "maybe today I'll get around to doing a comic" I've got to face the reality of the situation. I know how frustrating it can be to keep checking a site for updates and none ever happen.

maybe one day I will see those amazing things you told me about for CRB ;p

Totally okay with me dude. Time off can be very much needed at times and most definitely due when it is. (Though my nose should have been more specific and told me about THIS update. =P Darn temporal shenanigans.)

... and it's back. Didn't get a chance to do any of the modifications I wanted to, but there'll be plenty of time for that. At least updates will be resuming.

You should probably put up a note that the comic is back.

I guess I figured that if people visit, they'll see that it's a different comic anyway.

I think by theorycrafting he was referring to how, at that time, we were having such heated debates over what could possibly be cannon. I'm not too sure why you seem carry such a negative connotation to the term, because it just means that you're thinking about what could be happening, instead of merely observing the story as it happens.



(I can't tell if you just re-read the post or if you've been bottling it up for a while, but I would advise against the latter.)

The way Sildraug singled me out specifically made it sound (to me, anyway) like he had something specific he wanted to talk to me about. I'm a little annoyed that he says something that comes over as "I mean to talk to you soon.", and then never actually does so.

I didn't mean to imply any "negative connotations". I'm not offended by anything, just confused and losing patience. Theorycrafting sounds like it probably could be fun if I had a clue what it meant.

Ah, yeah. After re-reading his post, I can see how you would see that as an invitation, although I think he meant that as a general statement.

I imagined you had associated negative connotations to theorycrafting because how angry you sounded, I guess I just hadn't considered how you were patiently waiting for it. Anyways, if you're up for it, feel free to start up a WMG or some such equivalent. It's been long enough I think I'm up for some deep thought and debate about something of marginal importance but significant entertainment. I just can't think of anything I'm really terribly concerned about in AE.
