Title: Warehouse 23

Those who are familiar with Steve Jackson Games probably knows of this, but for those who don't...remember that scene at the end of the first Indiana Jones (Raiders of the Lost Ark), and it was put away in a secret warehouse, filled with a ton of crates?

Well, Steve Jackson got the inspiration that each of those crates could certainly contain ideas for other items/adventures/etc. As a result they came up with Warehosue 23.

I have used a few ideas here and there in a game, and it was an inspiration for others. Other times, I just spend a few minutes here and there to see what else comes up (and sometimes have a chuckle)

One will want to open a random box if they go there...

Just a couple random ones...

You open one of the 1002 boxes on this floor and find...
The phone number for the Psychotic Friends Network. Perhaps you're better off NOT dialing it...

You open one of the 998 boxes on this floor and find...
You find a large box of computer keys. Each one is marked "any."

Blegh. Too random. A list of some sort would be better. I prefer the SCP Foundation.

I think that was sort of the point... it kind of enhances the feeling.

That being said, I'm not a huge fan of it. =/

A few examples were rather amusing, but mroe often than naught it came off as dull. But for what it's worth I check into whenever I'm bored.

3 Freys out of 5.

Fair enough, and I won't deny many of them come up flat, and what not.

It is certainly hit or miss, etc.

It is sort of like the lists that people come up with like Horror movie rules (*looks at William Mark Simmons website). Some are definitely amusing, others less so...sometimes it is a way to pass the time.
