I'd personally vote white mage. Cause a story where the white mage is the principle character could turn out to be kind of interesting. . .

yeah, but having a main character who sucks at fighting poses a lot of problems later on

it's easier to work with a glass cannon in that respect

Aha, but a white mage can occasionally learn powerful spells like Holy, right?

Anyway, either way at some point our protagonist is going to have to recruit some friends to help defend her while she casts.

IN FINAL FANTASY YEAH but in other stuff, white mages get no offense at all

My versions of the character classes are currently ill-defined and thus can only vaguely be analogued to those in other stuff B)

Mind you, that's pretty counter-intuitive now that I mention it, considering I'm asking people to choose one without any real information.

Anyway, it'll be entertaining no matter what and that's the point.

Woo! Three people with three different perspectives on an entirely fictional loosely defined subject! I don't see how this could possibly go wrong ;) .

Here I figured people just learned spells, as they felt like, and they were a _______-o-mancer based on whichever category they used most.

I voted white mage, because non of the options really struck out to me, and It seemed like a good idea at the time; but I'm sure whatever it ends up (looks like summoner) will still give a good story.

I think he's mainly referring to the straight bangs and dark hair. It made number 3 look like an ojou.

But we'll see how I'll flesh out the classes of magic-casters once the story begins. I'll have to mull it over a bit more . . .

I've got kinda loose story ideas in mind for each of the 3 classes, though, so I won't be groping in the dark when monday rolls around.

I've been meaning to ask; How often are the polls updated?

Despite voting black mage, I do kinda pull for summoner. Summoning a broken razor or whatnot (think: Zappa from Guilty Gear) to fight with/for you would be totally rectum resizing.

But then again, an explosion-o-holic black mage would be quite sexy, too (Nice :wub: )

So far once a day, but it could change. I'm still working this thing out.

Nice as a mage would be awesome. Jacuzzi would be a cowardly (but not really) knight. :lol:

While hot blooded characters are cool, I realized that it might (seemingly) overlap too much with CRB (Fio and Sol are Hot blooded enough for at least three comics (and(dangit I forget his name...) mecha(?) too despite his lack of screen time)).

Yeah, it's Mecha. I do sometimes feel like I want the spirits to have more screentime, but the story's really about the human characters in the end and it's a sacrifice that has to be made, unfortunately. Good point, though! Hot-blooded characters are fun to write because it's relatively easy to make them badass and they always say exactly what they're feeling. No subtlety required! :P

I do think I did a better job on the aloof image than on the other two, but I hope that doesn't skew people towards it without thinking about what it really means.

It should be fun, though. In CRB Kei is currently the closest thing to an aloof character, and he's not really all that 'cool' about it, so I'll look forward to writing a different kind of character. :)

Good question! It says something about either the demographic that participates in this thing or humanity in general, I'm just not sure what.

To be honest, it's a secondary consideration, but I'm really interested to see what kinds of things people will vote for in general throughout this project.
