The first Mario baseball game and was it a hit!!!
Characters-This game is one different from others.Instead of a cast of 15-20 this game has a cast of .Giving every type of person a variaty and there favorite characters.Even adding new characters to the series but old friends like Dixie Kong.Also adding somewhat new faces like Nokis and Piantas.
Teams-In story mode there are five different playable teams including.
Mario's Team-Mario,Luigi,Monty Mole,three Piantas,and three Nokis.
Peach's Team-Peach,Daisy,Toadette,Toadsworth,and five Toads.
Yoshi's Team-Yoshi,Birdo,Baby Mario,Baby Luigi,and five shy guys.
Wario's Team-Wario,Waluigi,Boo,King Boo,Petey Pirranah,and 4 Magikoopas.
Dk's Team-Diddy,Dixie,Goomba,Paragoomba,two Koopas,and two Paratroopas.
And Bowser's Team-Bowser,Bowser Jr.,four Dry bones, three Hammer Bros.
GraphicsThe graphics in this game in my opinion are good for a gamecube game.
GameplayThe gameplay in this game will never have you bored.With the Exhibition made,there you can play a practice game with whatever team configuration you please.From Peach with Mario ect.To Daisy with Waluigi,ect...This mode is very enjoyable.You can also chose whichever stadium avaliable from Mario's Stadium to Bowsers Castle.You can also chose how many innings and who batts first,leaving you lots of variaty.Now Miningame mode.This mode you can unlock up to 6 minigames where you can chose whatever characters from your roster.The games are
Star Dash-Where you run to collect coins in a specific spot.
Piranah Panic-Where you throw colored eggs at the piranah.
Barrel Batter-Where you hit baseballs at barrels trying to get the special barrel.
Chain Chomp Sprint-Where you run around bases trying to collect diamonds but after awhile the chain chomp attacks anyone not on a base so watch out.
Wall Ball-where players test there strngth throwing baseballs through a variety of wall watch out though one might be a bowser wall.
Bob-omb Derby-players hit bombs instead of balls trying to get home runs.
Now as for Toy Field which you hit the baseball on certian buttons.Some make you lose coins,some you win.
Challenge Mode-The teams stated before are in this mode of the game.This mode is very enjoyable you can play with your favorite team and even steal other team members while playing if you collect all there flags by doing tasks.For example Strike this person out and you get one of three of Marios flags.And if you win the match you will get Mario on your team and whatever other characters you unlocked from his team.Also if you only get two flags one game and win,you will be able to go back with his two flags and you'll only need to get one for that game.This mode you unlock the locked characters for example if you beat challenge mode with DK you unlock Dixie Kong.This mode is very good and leaves lots of gameplay.
ChemistryThis is a new edition to the game.Where players have good chemistry or bad chemistry with another player.For example daisy has good chemistry with Luigi but bad with Waluigi.With this if you place characters with good chemistry together they will play better.Like on the field they will throw farther to the other player or batt better if there next to the player in batting order.
Overall-Overall I would give this game a 8.5-9.0.This game may not be the best graphics with all the next gen games coming out .But it doesn't matter.The challenge mode will give you hours of gamplay and after you can play games with friends or by yourself with your favorite characters.I say this game is a must have.A new game for Wii Super Mario Stadium Baseball has been announced being the second to Mario Superstar Baseball.
