Xenosaga Episode One: Der Wille zur Macht
Platform: PS2
Namco

All I can say: One of the Greatest RPGs I've ever played

This game beats the shit out of any RPG I played before it. It's magnificent. Beautiful. Beating it makes you speechless. Then you go into 'WTF' and '[Ask Question Here Mode]?' It's the most enigmatic, twisting plot I think I've ever been enraveled in.

The Concept is: Make a game, that not only is fun to play, but will not let you stop playing even if you go blind and deaf. It's absolutely addictive. And I don't know if it's the combat system or the plot that does it.

The Graphics: Blow most games out of the water. Reminds me of an awesome anime. The second one changes the style, but the first one keeps true to the whole 'lets look like an anime ff game and have a thick plot'.

Soundwise...this game can be awfully annoying...with the cutesy wootsie cut scenes T.T but what do you expect? it's a japanese game.

It plays like a charm...the combat system is simple but hard to absolutly master....the controls are great....except that the 'confirm' button is an O and the 'cancel' button is the X....that makes no sense but whatever. The combat is fun that that's what matters.

I played this game through like.....four times on end...it's that good. So I guess it's got some massive replay quality because I rarely go back to a game I beat...unless it's like Morrowind.

Basically, it's based off of the works of Friedrich Nietzsche (German Philosoper...) which explains the subtitle 'Der Wille zur Macht' or 'The Will to Power'...the first in Nietzsche's trilogy....(Der Wille zur Macht, Jenseits von Gut und Böse, and Also Sprach Zarathustra) It's one of the craziest stories I think I've ever heard...it's so philosophical it caught me off guard. I can't really explain the plot without giving it away, so give me a break, I don't wanna give anything away so I'm just going to say, 'expect the unexpected'.

I give it a 9.5/10

everything was good, but next time try to put in a rating on how long the game would last you. like replay value. doesnt matter for now though. lol
