Voldemort has finally fallen, and nearly twenty years of peace has graced the wizarding community. The Ministry has been reformed and the wizarding community could not be more thankful. But to some, the peace is fizzling out and things are beginning to churn in the dark alleyways and shadowed corners of the world. Somewhere on the horizon, evil is churning once again... One question remains: "If the world is threatening to crumble once again, who will be there to gather the REMNANTS?".

((Continued from this thread))

Teddy's hand was clasped securely around Victoire's, and his eyes were searching for any place that might be hiring. He was pulling Victoire through the throng of people that packed the street, their hands the only thing that connected them. The crowd was suffocating, and in his annoyance, Teddy ducked into the nearest shop without even bothering to read the sign.

It was a moment before he realized where he was: Flourish and Blott's. It was familiar and musty, and very small. He had always gotten his books here as a child with Harry and Andromeda, and it still looked the same now as it did then. Books were stacked on the shelves, the bindings engraved and gleaming in the blinding sunlight. As of the moment, there was no one manning the desk in the back corner of the room, and the crowd inside did not offer much relief from the claustrophobia of the street. There were several customers mulling over the shelves - parents with their children, professors, bookworms.

Teddy approached the empty desk in the back, hoping someone could tell him that there was room for one more employee. He leaned on the desk's old, wooden surface with his elbows and waited for the cashier to appear.

After walking out of the refreshing chill of Florean's and back out into the radiating heat of the sun and crowded streets, Victoire and Teddy pushed through the mobs of people, hands clasped tightly together. Several people bumped Victoire's shoulder while she struggled to fight her way through the sea of wizards, and at the same time, straining to keep her hand intertwined with Teddy's.

Teddy looked quite agitated. Without warning, he dodged into a nearby store. The building was familiar, reminding her of this morning. This was the same shop she had bought her necessary seventh year books from: Flourish and Blott's.

As soon as she stepped in the doorway following Teddy, she was welcomed by a malodorous smell and the sight of dusty books aligned on wooden shelves. People were walking around the antique store, browsing for a book or two. A lot of them were already sitting down to read the ones they found.

Teddy began walking over toward the small desk in the back of the shop, and Victoire follwed, hands still connecting them to one another. The desk was vacant, and Teddy glanced around, then leaned on the old desk as they waited for someone to assist them. Victoire hoped whoever was coming would be quick about it; her eyes were starting to water from the pungent smell and her nostrils stung from the dust flying into them.
