Zombies, Vampires, and Werewolves are three of the most popular monstrous races (Along with Ghosts and Mummies, etc.)

They are the only group that is well known for spreading their population with combat (Zombie virus, Vampire blood draining, Werewolf bite curse).

So! Who would win if it came down to a battle royale of sorts?

Zombies
  • Slow and shambolic, but have been known to be runners (The Romero VS Snyder argument)
  • Carry a virus that gradually kills living creatures via bites or wounds and produces new zombies. Alternate versions also produce new zombies from dead bodies regardless of cause. (The Romero VS Russo argument)
  • Always gather in large numbers, though runner zombies are hazardous even in small quantities.
  • Low intelligence, minimal manual dexterity, between average and slightly-above average strength compared to humans.
  • Can be dismembered, no healing capacity. Vulnerable only to head wounds.

Vampires
  • Rapid moving, able to shift into other forms with faster or different movement forms.
  • Must drain the blood of a victim to create a new vampire, different versions also require tasting the vampire's blood as well. Either way, a time consuming process.
  • Can rarely gather in covens, usually operate alone or in a very tight group.
  • Human or greater intelligence, significantly above-average strength compared to humans.
  • Large array of supernatural abilities including domination and animal summoning.
  • Vulnerable to garlic and sunlight, some versions repulsed by mirrors and/or crosses. Cannot travel across running water.

Werewolves
  • Rapid moving, full animal form has a significant land speed.
  • A single scratch can cause the creation of new werewolves, most curse versions only finish the transformation with the first full moon. Other versions treat the transformation as viral and fast-acting.
  • Pack hunting is common, but lone wolves (Pardon the pun) are also popular.
  • Human intelligence, significantly above-average strength compared to humans.
  • Vulnerable to silver only. Abilities dependent on the stage of the moon, completely unpowered outside of a full moon in many versions. Unlike Vampires & Zombies, Werewolves are living creatures.

So, both can handle Zombies with fair ease, unless they're caught unawares or with few allies against the typical zombie horde. Vampires can escape Werewolves but are fairly equal matched in a standard fight. Werewolves are melee fighters so face a greater threat from the Zombies than the Vampires, as the Zombies can potentially bite them and leave and still create a new Zombie.

So! Vote! Who wins?

Werewolves are mortal, so no chance for them.
Zombies are mindless and thus not smart enough to use stakes or decapitation, so no for them either.
Vampires have no magic to slay the zombies, and can't drain their blood very well.
Fun Time is not fun.
I suggest a team or Vikings riding giant eagles, with a mage or two per eagle, and some crossbowmen. The Vikings wield greataxes. The crossbowmen have crossbows with silver bolts.
The Vikings take them all by surprise thanks to a few cloaking simple spells. The zombies are too mindless too notice, the werewolves are berserk and don't notice, and the vamps are too busy fighting the other two to do anything about it.
The Vikings thus decapitate the vamps easily. They fly back up and the crossbowmen shoot at the werewolves with silver bolts until they are all dead.
Then, they fly high up, and the mages dispel the magic keeping the zombies animate.
If we are following the normal rules, then the battle is slightly different. The part about the vamps stays the same, but with the werewolves and zombies:
The vikings shoot the werewolves down first, then decapitate the vamps. Then the vikings go berserk and go down there and own the zombies. The Vikings can make 3 attacks in the time it takes for the zombies to do 1. Not to mention, the Vikings when berserk can do much more damage.
So, my theory that giant eagle-riding Vikings are the most awesomesauce of all holds true.

They do relate. Ninja wizards and laser-shooting-eyed-bears relate to LOTR, and Mordor as much as drunk vikings flying on backs of some poor overgrown eagles have with debate over who of the three types of monsters is better... And I think Zombies would win. Yeah, vampires are strong and smart, and so are the werewolves, but zombies just have to scratch werevolf, and he is a done for it. It is often told that vampires are a lot smarter than humans, and I agree wit that(like you have to make an effort to achieve that) and when you see zombies, what is the word they almost always say? Yea, that's right, it's fu#*in BRAINS!!!! They crave for brains, and vampires are a nice treat, altought undead... So if I was werewolf, or vampire, I wouldn't come close to zombies, unless I really have to...

The crazy awesome enters the picture when you realise why several vikings only need one eagle.

Weren't this about a hypothetical fight between zombies, vampires and werewolves? Or is that just me :P
