Dawn Of Yesterday (the Movie)

Hey Giyz!

I've been talking with a friend of mine and he says that he thinks I should take my comic (Dawn of Yesterday) and make it into an amateur Live action film.
He has even got an amateur film director interested in the Idea.

I'm just curios to find out what you guys think about it.

(if we do go ahead and start making this movie, I'm going to need advice on how to get funding... :S)

The most obvious answer is a part-time job (If possible), alternatively maybe art commissions.

To look back another direction with funding, finding decent volunteer staff would also help. Whenever possible, get something for free.

To save more money, play all the roles yourself. Use the free ketchup packets you get at restaurants for the gore. Make all the weapons out of tree branches wrapped with tape (bonus points if you get the tape from school, from the posters they put up).

If you need members of the opposite gender, rely on your audience getting really drunk off cheap alcohol.

This has been SoG with some penny pinching... I mean money saving tips!

But im basically in the stage of witting the script for the movie out (it is slightly different from the comics as the comics would cost a fek load to reproduce into a film).

Oh, and i might be working at the local bar to get some money :P

I'm okay with them going to their conventions, but the fact that they have an "anthro" section on Deviant art is ridiculous. Then there are some insane people who spend $1000 plus on fursuits.

(I sumtimes consider myself a fur trapped in a humans body...
other times i think... how cool would it be to be a wolf =D)

anyway my point is...

Have you ever wanted to melt 4 kitKat chunky's together and pretend your a Gnome eating a regular sized KitKat?

You should go to hollywood, and make it a summer blockbuster. My Mom was friends with a fairly famous director. =P

I never got Blu-ray... In both senses. I never purchased it, and I never noticed the difference from regular HD or anything else.

I was totally expecting blue lasers to shoot out, but sadly, the name has nothing to do with the product.

What is blu-ray even supposed to do? From what I can tell it's just a fancy way of saying "HD".

Oh, and something to tack onto PS3. Look, it has bluuuu-raaaay! ZOMG.

Ha, that made me remember something in the old Nintendo magazine. It was saying why the gamecube was better than the Xbox and PS2, one of the reasons was:

"It doesn't have built in DVD, it's a game system, 100%"... Wow...

Well the blue ray inside the DVD player has a smaller wavelength than the traditional red ray, meaning it can read more information off of the same-sized DVD.

So the blu-ray DVD has much smaller perforations than previously viable to take advantage of the blue ray's ability to read them, thus allowing greater content and quality of image within it.

At least that's how I understand it.

By my understanding we're in the same country. Can't say how far apart we are in said country though.
