Okay, so I spend most of my time predictably playing an Engineer, though I'm a dab hand at playing a Sniper too.
Have to say I absolutely abhore Scouts. They seem so broken compared to everything else. I have played against them one-on-one and I have watched others do so, it's nearly impossible to beat them with any other class on your own, even other Scouts have issues. I think it needs to be balanced, maybe slow them, maybe take out that annoying double jump so they can't get into team bases so easily... |

I'll admit it can get fairly repetitive.
Snipers are always hitting you when you stop moving, or firing at eachother across the entire length of the battlefield. Pyros are always hiding around corners waiting for you to waltz up. Heavies are usually being followed by a Medic while they open the full 200 round machine gun of theirs up on open space. Soldiers just never stop firing their rocket launcher, including when it's pointed at the ground. Demomen keep shooting grenades and laying sticky bombs, and they seem to be the biggest pest (along with Spies) to Engineers trying to establish a base. My best move I think is to keep whacking at the sentry gun when Spies are nearby, because if they sap the gun I can whack off the sapper and repair the gun too, and if they kill me the sentry kills them. |

I'm still playing, and despite the slight handicap of using a touchpad mouse (Thereby limiting my turning to increments) I'm doing alright. I've gotten all of the soft-core achievements and that really just leaves the hard-core achievements, like killing 1000 people, but due to my low play of it I also still need to burn a mess of people in a short period.
As it turns out, hardware issues prevent me from playing the more iconic maps, like Well, but I'm having a lot of fun messing about in Lazytown and Orange_X. There's probably some more maps out there I can run but for now I'm content. |

Okay, so now that I have a mouse to use, I've stepped up significantly on my game. I've also thought up a few more balancing issues:
Spys are unbelievably insane. They don't actually need to kill the Engineer to take out the sapped Sentry, they can just stand next to it and keep sapping it. The Engineer can keep whacking it off, but they don't have time to repair it before the Spy puts another sapper on. So here's my idea: Engineers stay vulnerable as ever, but the buildings are invulnerable except for Spy's sapping them and while under construction, and then become damageable. That way, building them actually means something more than a few seconds of guard (They can still have limited ammo, naturally) and it actually requires some team effort (The main feature of the game) to take them out. Alternatively, go for speed and take them out before construction finishes. For example, under this ruling, the Demoman can take out the Engineers with their sapper-removing wrenches from the base but they can't take out the Sentry guns, Dispensers, or Teleporters. Therefore, the Demo takes out the Engineers and the Spy then sneaks in and saps the equipment before the Engineers can get back after respawning. Alternatively, say in a 1-on-1 case, the opponent goes Scout and batters the Sentry and the Engineer before construction finishes, or the Heavy runs up and opens fire. I can certainly see there being some issues in the 1-on-1 case, but it makes it less futile for Engineers to do something. |

Well the Medic and Pyro upgrades have been largely hit-and-miss, the Medic is now a much greater threat but the Pyro didn't really need it, though it's fun to see the proliferation of enemy Pyros trying to effectively use the Flare Gun. The issue being the Pyro class isn't built to be accurate beyond melee range.
So here's a good illustration of my gameplay. The Engineer remains as vulnerable if not moreso now, the Spy and Scout haven't changed but the Scout is still very much able to quickly escape the range of the Pyro's accuracy and shoot him to death, but as before in tight quarters the Pyro wins. Likewise the Spy hasn't really changed much in balance. Intriguingly enough the two most unbalanced classes (And my two least favourites) are my third and fourth most used... |

There's a computer version too y'know, that's what I play. As a bonus the computer version gets updates whilst the X-Box is virtually straight-from-the-box

Haha, I love playing Spy, Scout and Soldier.
No, I use my shotgun as Soldier and do NOT spam rockets, only for rocket-jumping... Plus, I added you in Steam! |

I see no problem with using the rocket launcher as a soldier, personally, except maybe to excess. But then, most of us frown on spam with any weapon.
Except in this case |
