hey, i only know that the college thing is going on recently is because some college coach wasn't happy that Obama didn't pick his team for something or other.

I assume that would have been the "Barack-etology", where attempted to predict the results of the tournament for some reason.
Mad V, March Madness reference... yeah it is kind of weak. Particularly as anyone outside of the USA (and quite a few people inside it) would need the joke explained to them.
