Mine was £54.99.
That might be the difference. |
Then shouldn't mine take less time to install?
*sigh*, now I need to restart my computer AGAIN...
It takes 2 minutes my freind say's... <_<
EDIT: Sweet, this camera is AWESOME! it doesn't blur or slow when you move, it follows you exactly.
Lyinginbedmon - August 27, 2008 09:37 PM (GMT)
So does mine. Mine also has autofocus to 2 megapixels, the clearest microphone I've ever heard (And my parents do run a DJ/Disco business), several awesome overlays (Including a number of full-face character masks, including a cat, an alien, and a shark). As well as face-tracking software for multiple people, and auto-light adjustment.
Not to brag, of course :P
What model is yours? Mine is a Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000.
Also, if it's £27 at a duty free, and mine was £55 at Argos, wouldn't it make more sense for mine to be better quality, thereby making it more likely to install faster? (Just to say, mine took 4 minutes to install).

Bah, I don't have money for a webcam.
Not that it would get much use anyway...

No, if yours has more stuff on it, better quality etc, then it has more to install then mine.
I don't know the modle, but the company is called "Creative" and it looks exactly like the robots in portal, the one's with the lazar and the gun that shoots you... It's actually quite intimidating, it looks like it's watching me, I have to turn it around when I'm not useing it.
EDIT:

Your FLV file doesn't work nameless.

Really? It's working fine for me, photobucket just cut out a bit at the end for some reason.
Maybe the file was too big.
I'll try make another and see if it does it again.
Memnarch - August 28, 2008 07:30 PM (GMT)
specifically, I click your link and it pops a blank screen up.
Nameless - August 28, 2008 09:17 PM (GMT)
This better?

It vut out the last part, I'm trying to get it to not do that now.
Lyinginbedmon - August 28, 2008 09:37 PM (GMT)
Well, we have a picture, but it still loads a blank page when clicked.

You are even crazier than Nameless himself...
My only real recommendation is to turn down the brightness on the settings of the Portal Turretcam, I can barely make you out and the background looks like you're facing straight away from the sun.
Also: Tim-Tom, because I comes before O ;)
Also, try not to make metahumor jokes, because the audience just sees what the webcam sees, so you being amused at the mirrored movements doesn't come across as well.

You are a lot crazier in person, Nameless.

I've been told.

It's something I'm trying to work on, if I don't make it bright, it makes everything look really dirty...

That word wasn't even in the dictionary Lying, but I think I know what it means. ;)
It is actually quite strange that it's mirrored, does your one do that or is it only me?
But seriously did you see the cam? it's creepy, I put it in my draw at night, it scares me.
I think I figured out why it cut out the last part, but I haven't figured out how to fix it.
I watched it on my computer using movie Maker, and it was fine, so I think it has something to do with photobucket.
But I guess that's not too much of a problem.

Test 2:
In this episode, I was expreimenting with the some of the fetures of the webcam:

What truly frightens me is the footage you edited out...
Biggest point here is look directly at the camera as much as possible, it's somewhat off-putting to see someone talking to me and not looking "at" me.
