He was ignoring her pleading. He was angry and when he was angry he didn't quite act all that reasonable. It wasn't until he heard the word 'fun' and watched one of his feet kick up some sand that he let his anger subside. Stopping and looking up at her with a slight smile Ken asked,

"Do you want to build a tower with me?" He had a small sparkle in his eyes, like a child would when given a new toy, "We can see if we can make it taller then us! And then build other houses around it too!"

He always wanted someone else to play in the sand with him. His mother use to play in the sand with him many, many years ago. But since then he has always had to play alone. Playing in the sand alone didn't work so well for him. You needed a bit of water to make the sand wet so that it was easier to build with. Dry sand just fell down allot.

He sat down and began to collect some sand up, getting ready to make a tower if she wanted to play with him or not. He was now set to play in the sand which meant it didn't matter to him if someone else played too. But much more fun if she did.
