[b][center]Basic Board Rules[/center][/b]


[u]Registering[/u]: Please register with a real first and last name no sn names like mrs_draco_malfoy or emma_watson. If you do, anything that you have posted on the site will be ignored and deleted, as will your character name. This will help us to avoid confusion and the annoyance of twelve Emma Watsons running around.

[u]Rating[/u]: This website is a PG-13 site. (Minor vulgarities are permitted as long as they are not used every other sentence, making out and flirting are permitted. Absolutely NO RPing out sex scenes… PERIOD! Violence is permitted just don’t go too graphic.)

[u]Respect[/u]: Let's be kind and keep all fights off the board. If you have an issue with another member please deal with it somewhere else. Along with that, the Admin’s word is LAW. Therefore, respect it!

[u]Posting[/u]: Until your character has been approved, the only place to posts is in the character application area or in the questions board. Site advertisements are open for posting also. Please refrain from posting elsewhere during that time period.

[u]Graphics[/u]: Graphics on this site must be tasteful (no nudity!). Please stick with this rule. Also, avatars can be any size up to 200x200. If your avatar is slightly larger then that however, it isn't a big deal! Signatures are to be no bigger then 500x350.


[b][center]Character Rules[/center][/b]


[u]Original Characters[/u]: Here on this site, there will be several non-canon characters treated as canon. This means that you are allowed to create your own character. Several rules, however, go along with this privelge. In order to actually play a non-canon character, your creation has to be believable and realistic. The Admin must feel that you have spent enough time learning about the person that you have crafted. If the Admin feels that you have done so, then the Admin reserves the right to deny that application. Any questions about this should be directed in a PM directly to the Admin account.

[u]Canon Characters[/u]: There are many canon characeters that are open to role play with. The main rule with canon's, however, is this: If you play Harry Potter, then you will not be allowed to take Ron Weasly or Hermione Granger. Characters that you might take would be Bill Weasly, etc. Basically, no characters that spend alot of time together, interacting with each other.

[u]Character Limit[/u]: At the moment, there is no limit as to how many characters (canon or otherwise) that a single person may role play. However, if someone takes on too many characters, and is therefore unable to do all of them justice, the Admin reserves the right to remove one or more characters from their ownership.


[b][center]Role Playing[/center][/b]


[u]Sticking to the Universe[/u]: This site is first and foremost a Harry Potter RP site. Therefore, if you feel the sudden need to write some sort of crossover, then go and write it on the AU board, in the sub-board titled "Unrealistic".

[u]Respecting Other RPers Characters[/u]: No god-modding on this site. Also, no slandering other people or their characters unless it is something [b]specifically[/b] that your character would do.

[u]Grammar[/u] No text talk in the rps (this includes lol, rofl, etc.). You can use those sorts of things in the OC areas only.

[u]Post Minimum[/u]: The post minimum on this site is 200 words. Preferred is something with even a bit more meat in it then that, but the Admin is aware that there are people who are new to RPing and are therefore not ready for post of any more length.

[u]Absence[/u]:The Admin understands that there are those people who do not have steady access to a computer. However, keeping up with your posts, especially with a canon or otherwise popular character is highly recommended. The Admin reserves the right to decide when any given character has been quiet for too long and is therefore fair game for others. If you know ahead of time that you will be gone for certain amount of time, please PM the Admin account so that you do not lose your characters.
