What happened to the good ol' days of cartoons?

Seriously, what's with all the crap on TV? Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends? Spongebob? Grr, what happened to the good ol' 90's and the earlier shows? Good shows like Looney Tunes, Invader Zim, the Pinky and the Brain, you get the idea. Now instead we're forced to witness the death of cartoons. Grr. Bring back the shows. Obviously todays shows are full of n00bs.

Here's another thing I hate. What happened to good ol' Disney? Remember the movies of the 90's like Lion King, Toy Story, Aladdin, etc? Disney was epic in the 90's especially with Toon Disney. Now to me, they've become cash whores with PlayPhail Disney and one of the worst things to appear on Disney. I'm talking about cash whore Hannah Montana and The High School Musical sucky band. I don't recall watching Disney to see this crap. Hell, even That's So Raven is better than the two. Bring back the ol' Disney!

That's what I'm talking about! I mean, I bet today's young kids have never even seen Scooby Doo! And they've probably never even heard of Popeye or the Thundercats....

And I agree that the majority of Disney movies that come out today suck... I've only seen three in the last few years that I actually liked (Ratattouile, Meet the Robinsons, and Enchanted), and only a few more who were actually decent.

With cartoons these days, I'd rather watch C-SPAN or even ABC! And that's saying something...

Enchanted is like the most original movie Disney has made in years.

I know. I miss th good shows like Rocco's Modern Life and Invader Zim. Back in Nick's primetime, it was one of the best channels ever. Now, all they show is Drake and Josh (which was fine till Josh got skinny, after that the funny died) and Zoey 101. WHO THE HELL CARES ABOUT A WHORE'S SISTER? Thank god for Comedy Central and Ninja Warrior, those are the few shows left on T.V. that I regularly watch. Also thank god for Cartoon Network, which even though it has lost several awesome shows. It still has good ones (Courage FTW).

Now if you'll excuse me, I feel like watching Angry Beavers on the Internet.

after a few years of constant research (which consisted of staying in front of a computer moniter not having anything to do with cartoons, trying to avoid the frightening reality that cartoons suck around now), i have come up with some theories that might explain this downfall

1. they started to do something heavy

2. children nowadays are not very bright enough to actually take the time to think about the crap on there and notice that it sucks

3. review # 1&2

I miss Rocko, Invader Zim, and the good old Disney. I miss the 90's in general! What where people thinking/on when they were making this crap? I'm thinking that they think that the children of today are too dumb to actually get any of the humor from the 90's...

I miss invader zim and abunch of the other cartoons I watched. The few good exception shows can't compenate for the load of crap on the air

PIKA IS RIGHT the only thing that keeps me goin is that invader zim comes on every morning right as i wake up....and i go to bed watching ninja warrior....all the other shows just make me want to go outside

Anyone remember KidsWB? They produced awesome shows like Animaniacs, Pink & the Brain, Freakazoid, Batman, and Superman? I also remember getting up in the morning to watch Pokémon (I only liked the 1st season, and possibly 2nd series with the Orange League). Those were the days.

Hell yes! KidsWB used to be the best, but now it fails!

What about Jackie Chan Adventures? I love that show, and I feel lucky that they still show it sometimes...

Eh, I never liked that show. But I did like Yu-Gi Oh!

I lost hope for Yu-Gi-Oh when GX came out.

Fox Kids. Not as popular KidsWB (or at least to me), but it was decent. Before the evil 4Kids took over.

man i miss that show, yeah i liked the old cartoons alot but theyre just scraping the bottom of the barrel now......like that kung pao chicken thing that they have on cartoon network......not a classic like ed, edd, and eddy.....i liked that show next to invader zim and angry beavers
