Frances HowardFrances is the Duchess of Surrey, married to Henry Howard, the Earl of Surrey. They have four children, with the youngest being born just months before. Frances is accustomed to court because she has been in regular attendance since the age of fourteen. She is a daughter of John de Vere, the Earl of Oxford and his wife Elizabeth. She has two older siblings and four younger.
Frances is a steady woman. She knows what she can and can't laugh at. She knows what she can and can't speak of. All she wants in her life is to be happy, love her husband, and keep her children alive and well. Friends are a hard thing to come by in court and she likes to think that she has at least one.
When she isn't in the service of a greater lady, Frances tries to spend her time outside. She likes to take walks around the grounds, look at the gardens, watch the river, and whatever else she finds. If she must be inside, she'd like to have a piece of embroidery to work on. While at home with the children these past few years, she's learned a few things about the local herbs and flowers.
