The Origin Of Species
Natural selection--evolution--is the next link in the chain for mankind.
Darwin spoke of the ‘Survival of the Fittest’ and that’s exactly what we are; we've risen to the top of the food chain and the humans despised becoming a secondary rank. Mankind has always feared what it does not understand, and now it has become ignorant and petrified in light of mutants. And now they deem us a threat.
Evolution has simply given us a new advantage, and now we are the dominant species.
The story so far…
It is quite disgusting how bigoted humans can be. Mutants are starting to rise in numbers and the human government is beginning to become unsettled; there are talks of ‘mutant registration’ (Fancy that, trying to treat us like animals). Even Senator Kelly is the ringleader of this bandwagon for the idea and it seems that he won’t be persuaded otherwise.
With the increasing number of mutants revealing themselves to the public it would appear that two sides are beginning to form: those who want to co-exist peacefully with humans, and those who believe the human era is coming to an end and that it is time for mutants to take their rightful place at the top of the evolutionary chain.
One man by the name of Charles Xavier has taken it upon himself to teach young mutants and help them understand their powers. He sees no need in mutants or humans claiming dominance; peace is the path he chooses.
The other side of the coin is Magneto, the Master of Magnetism; he takes pride in telling others about the ‘war’ that is brewing between mutants and humans. His Brotherhood of Mutants sees the world as their oyster and there certainly isn’t room to share it with human scum.
We join the struggle between humans and mutants just before the peak; each side knows the other is growing in size and strength but neither of them want to strike first.
Many mutants continue on happily, blissfully unaware of the skirmish looming ahead; they willingly conceal their mutant identities, or join the ranks of Charles Xavier to learn how to control their powers. But many mutants are fleeing and joining the ranks of Magneto in hope of protection and a better life without being looked upon with scorn.
Who are we looking for?
Well, seeing as we are still fairly new compared to a lot of sites we are still seeking plenty of new characters to join the fray. As far as Brotherhood members go, we want everyone! Go on, enjoy your darker side! =^.~= As far as X-Men and X-Students we have quite a few but are always after more! We love originals!
Adoptable characters
There are always characters that get left behind. Come to the site and bring life back to canon characters who have been put on the shelf! These include Cyclops, Storm, Psylocke, Husk, the lovely Mystique, and sadly, quite a few more!
